Trapped pregnant with a Billionaire child

I remember you

Letta immediately pursed her lips upon seeing the irritating expression Mia always directed at her whenever she begged for something. “I can’t, Mia,” Letta said wearily, causing Mia to cup her hands.

“Come on, isn’t the way to your house one way? I’m sure this won’t take up more than ten minutes of your time. You just have to hand over all this data to Andra,” Mia said again, leaving Letta silent as she looked at the brown folder Mia was offering her.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to meet Andra or make a stop at the restaurant. It was who Andra was with that made Letta reluctant to drop by and help her friend.

“Mia, I really need to get home quickly. I’m not feeling well at all, so could you just call Andra and tell her to pick it up herself?” Letta said, making Mia shake her head.

“The thing is, Andra hasn’t been picking up my calls since earlier. I’ve been trying to reach her several times, and right now, she needs it because Mr. Marco has been asking for this data, and she stupidly left everything on my desk,” Mia said, causing Letta to finally heave a long sigh, knowing she wouldn’t budge from her spot until she agreed to Mia’s request.

Letta snatched the brown folder a bit roughly. “Thanks, you truly are my best friend,” Mia said, making Letta only roll her eyes lazily, as she had faced such incidents numerous times before.

“Alright then, I’ll head home first,” Letta said, making Mia nod. Letta then immediately headed to the parking lot using her motorbike, which had been her personal vehicle for a while. She put on her helmet before slowly starting the engine, mindful of the fact that she was pregnant. Being cautious had always been her principle, not just because no one would take care of her when she fell ill, but also because Letta didn’t want anything bad to happen to her fetus.

Letta then remembered whether Mia had contacted Andra to wait right in front of the restaurant. Surely her friend hadn’t reached out to her, prompting Letta to reach for her phone to send a brief message to Andra, asking her to wait right in front of the restaurant. It was one way for Letta to avoid meeting Marco, whom she was actively avoiding at the moment.

Occasionally, Letta’s focus was divided between her phone and the relatively empty street ahead, making it easier for her to control her speed. However, her hope was shattered when suddenly there was a speed bump in front of her. Letta couldn’t balance her bike, causing her to fall right by the sidewalk. The pain in her knee made her wince, but at least there were no serious injuries. Letta regretted her carelessness for not being more cautious.

After steadying her bike, Letta sent the message before continuing her journey. When she arrived in front of the restaurant where Andra was supposed to be, Letta tried to contact her but to no avail. Letta felt angry at herself for having to sacrifice herself to meet Marco and help the two of them.

Letta decided to cautiously enter the restaurant, hoping that Marco wouldn’t recognize her or realize her presence. However, when she saw Andra and two other people conversing with Marco and his secretary, Letta tried to call Andra through a waiter. However, as the waiter was approaching the table, Andra suddenly stood up, surprising Letta. The waiter went towards Marco, and something happened that confused Letta. Letta felt she needed to leave the restaurant immediately without confronting Marco.

But before Letta could leave, someone suddenly pulled her shoulder. Letta turned and faced Marco standing in front of her. “Didn’t you call me? What’s the matter?” Marco asked, leaving Letta speechless, staring at the handsome yet intimidating face. Letta tried to gather her thoughts, realizing that her priority now was to escape from the restaurant. However, when Marco asked again, Letta only then realized that she had received a message from Mia.

“I was just asked to deliver this report to Mr. Andra,” Letta said, as Marco gazed at the folder.

“He left it at the office, and you were asked to deliver it. He shouldn’t have been careless when meeting me,” Marco said, causing Letta to smile awkwardly and nod her head.

“Well then, excuse me, Sir,” Letta said, hoping to break free from Marco. But suddenly, Marco stopped her steps again, halting Letta in her tracks.

“Wait a moment,” Marco said.

“Weren’t you the employee who looked pale this morning? Are you still unwell?” Marco asked, making Letta smile awkwardly again as she shook her head.Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

“I’m much better now, thanks to you,” Letta replied. She tried to leave again, but Marco stopped her once more, not with words, but by gripping Letta’s hand, surprising her and causing her to turn around.

“You seem very familiar. I’m sure I know you. But I don’t know if we’ve met before other than at the office,” Marco asked, raising his eyebrow, trying to examine Letta’s face. Letta quickly averted her gaze, not wanting Marco to realize her identity as the woman who had spent the night with him. At that moment, a gust of wind blew Letta’s scarf, hitting Marco’s face, leaving him speechless. He remembered the familiar scent distinctly.

“I remember you. I remember this scent,” Marco said, holding the scarf Letta was wearing. Letta could only widen her eyes, her heart racing.
