Chapter 2082 The Four Children Of The Jones Family, Gary Smith (Part 857)
Gary watched Janice as she was questioned until she could not say anything else. He was not in a hurry to come out.
Every time Janice answered a question, the reporters would ask her even more questions, giving her the third degree until she was left speechless. She was upset beyond words and kept crying in an attempt at garnering sympathy.
She could not wait any longer. She looked at her watch over and over again, hoping that it could be nine o'clock sooner.
She was waiting for Gary to come out.
In the end, Janice shouted at the reporters, "Don't ask me any more questions. I don't want to answer any of your questions. I just want to wait for Gary to come out so that I can confront him."
"Miss Simpson, it looks like you can't answer our questions. You are just trying to slander the young master of The Jones family."
"Miss Simpson, please answer our questions. Who ordered you to do this? Who asked you to slander the young master of The Jones family?" Janice pressed her lips together and said, "I just want to wait until Gary comes out so that I can confront him. Stop asking me any questions. I won't answer any more questions."
It was 8:50 pm, there were only ten minutes left until Heinz's scheduled conference.
Janice wanted to wait until Gary came out, however, at that moment, it seemed like the more she spoke, the more lies were exposed by the reporters. She was questioned by the reporters until her brain buzzed with dizziness. At that moment, it was difficult for her to answer a plethora of questions at
once.
When she calmed down and thought about it carefully, she felt that she had to wait until Gary came out before she could air out all their dirty laundry to the reporters.
The reporters could see through Janice's schemes at once. They continued to ask her more and more questions. All these questions overlapped each other and they crowded Janice.
At that moment, another reporter suddenly asked, "Miss Simpson, I heard that you are Mr. Lowe's friend. What can you tell us about that?" The reporters knew all about The Jones family's relationship.
Everyone knew that Lowell was Heinz and Grace's blood-related younger brother.
They knew that Lowell was studying in Boston. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
When she heard that question, Janice's heart jolted. She looked at the reporter who asked that question and suddenly understood that someone was controlling the scene. She was not the one controlling the reporters' tempo.
At first, she thought that she could control the crowd. However, now, she realized that she was fooling herself. She was no match for the reporters. It was obvious that someone was instructing them to ask these questions.
Could it be Lowell?
Janice looked around, but she did not see any sign of Lowell.
However, she had a feeling that Lowell was supposed to be there. Perhaps he was hiding in a corner, secretly watching her.
When she thought of that, she immediately bit her lips. Her pearly whites dug deep into her lips, turning them red. While her tears rolled down her face, she looked very pitiful.
Her pitiful demeanor stunned the people watching.
Janice remained silent and faced the flashing cameras of the journalists with her pathetic look.
Lowell was indeed watching her from a corner at that moment. When he saw Janice, he scoffed. "How ironic!"
Was that woman still trying to confuse him with such a pathetic gesture?
In the past, she would ask him for help every week, pretending to be pitiful and weak too.
Back then, Lowell could not bring himself to refuse her.
However, now, she was showing the same look in front of the cameras.
Ha!
Lowell sneered, he had seen through her.
No matter what, he would not be fooled again and would not act on impulse, nor would he show mercy to a woman with ulterior motives. The price he had to pay was way too high.
Janice was still being questioned by the journalists. No matter what they asked, Janice never said a word. She just put on that pitiful expression, refusing to speak at all.
Time ticked by, and soon, it was nine o'clock.
Lowell glanced at his watch, then he turned around to look at Heinz and Gary.
"Lowell, you should go first."
When it was time, Gary spoke.
Lowell nodded and said, "We will go with our original plan first, see you up there." "Lowell, wait," Heinz said.
"Okay." Lowell waited. "Brother, if there is anything you want to tell me, just say it."
"Let the people from the Public Relations Department get to up first," Heinz said, "Do not give yourself any psychological burdens. Since it has already happened, we should take precautions and not compromise at all."
Lowell nodded and said, "I understand, brother."
Soon, the Jones Estate's Public Relations Department went to open the door and the whole hall quieted down.
Janice finally got what she waited for.
She wanted Gary to face her in public.
She knew that if she could not get his pity, then she would bring him down with her.
"Good evening, fellow reporters. I am Alfid Shells, a representative from the Jones Estate. Miss Simpson is stalling our press conference and slandering the young master of the Jones family too. Miss Simpson, our lawyer will contact you shortly."
"I did not slander him. I am telling the truth! You should be very clear about this, Gary Smith too." When Janice heard what Alfid said, she immediately retorted.
However, Alfid from the Public
Relations Department was a veteran at this. Without batting an eyelid, he looked at Janice with a faint smile and said, "Miss Simpson, please don't interrupt one's speech when they are talking. Didn't your family teach you the most basic manners?"
These simple sentences were enough to make her quiet down.
Her face instantly paled.
The other reporters also looked at her in disdain.
They were mocking Janice for not having any manners.
Janice pursed her lips, a vicious look appeared in her eyes.
Alfid smiled faintly and continued, "First of all, The young master's surname is Jones, not Smith."
Janice froze then frowned.
Alfid showed Gary's ID. The name on his ID was Gary Jones.
When the reporters saw it, they all burst into an uproar, but they managed to quickly control themselves. However, they couldn't help but start to whisper amongst themselves.
Alfid smiled once again and said, "You don't even know the young master's sumame. Yet, you are spouting nonsense about having child with him. I am sure the
reporters have seen it very al
There's no need for us to make a statement. They know that you, Miss Simpson, are slandering the Young Master."
"I'm not!" Janice could only shake her head vehemently.
"Hey, Miss Simpson, do you need me to remind you again? If you have any questions, you can wait until I finish speaking." Alfid smiled and said, "We will give you a chance to speak, the same goes for the reporters. There is no need for you to be so anxious." Content belongs

It was only at that moment, Janice realized how powerful he was. He was able to make her shut up in just a few sentences.
She showed a sullen face but did not speak anymore.
The reporters all nodded. They all thought that Alfid was right.
It did look like Janice was slandering Mr. Jones.
"Okay, let's get to the point. Miss Simpson, you said that you are Mr. Jones' girlfriend, but that is impossible."
"From what we know, Mr. Jones' girlfriend has always been Celeste White. Apart from that, he has never had any emotional entanglements with any
other girls."
The reporters all nodded in agreement.
Alfid said again, "Miss Simpson knows the young master of the Jones family, however, she knows Mr. Lowell even better."
"Mr. Shells, based on your statement, does that mean Miss Simpson has something to do with Mr. Lowell and not Mr. Gary?"
"Regarding this question, I think it will be better for Mr. Lowell to tell you himself." Alfid smiled faintly and said, "Please, let us welcome Mr. Lowell to
the stage."
When he heard his name, Lowell came out from the corner and walked onto the stage.
When Janice saw him, she stared at Lowell in a daze.
He was wearing a suit that perfectly encased his body. His handsome face was calm and his bearing was elegant. His expression was cold and reticent yet refined and calm.
Since when did Lowell become so charming?
Lowell's aura was full of glamor.
Janice stared at him in a daze. She could not come back to her senses for a long time.
A part of her was a little moved and she even felt a hint of regret.
She had never seen Lowell like that, never imagining that he would look so good in a suit.
Lowell walked on stage and looked at all the gathered reporters in the room with a calm look on his face.
The lights kept flashing, but the look on Lowell's face was still the same. He was very calm, so calm that it made people think that he had a strong
temperament.
First, he looked around the entire venue, then he fixed his gaze on Janice for a few seconds.
Their eyes met.
He looked away then spoke into the microphone.
"Good evening, everyone. I am Lowell Jones."
His voice was deeper and more maic in the microphone. This was the first time Lowell appeared in such a high-profile manner.
The moment he spoke, the whole place fell silent.
Everyone's eyes were fixed on the man on the stage, utterly attracted by him.
In the next second, Lowell looked at Janice and said, "Janice, did you just say that you are Gary's girlfriend?"
When Janice was facing Lowell, she tried to speak, but no words came out of her mouth.
Lowell asked again, "Didn't you tell the reporters that you were Gary's girlfriend just now? Now, please repeat that in front of everyone again."
"I-" Janice opened her mouth, she wanted to say it, but somehow, she couldn't. It took her a long time before she said a few words, "You know it."
"What do I know?" Lowell retorted.
"You know!" Janice shouted at him. "You know everything."
"That's right, I do know." Lowell smiled and said, "I know that every time you came to find me, you only caused trouble. You seduced me while trying
to play hard to get."
"I, I didn't." She shook her head.
Lowell only smiled. He turned on his tablet and placed it under the projector. All at once, a picture could be seen on the big screen.
It was a photo of Janice snuggling next to Lowell.
Her posture was really intimate, making them look like they were more than friends.
