True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz)

Chapter 2090

Chapter 2090

Gary gazed at her as she remained silent, his eyes filled with complex emotions.

He did not know what else to say. He had a feeling that Celeste was determined to leave.

If Gary forced Celeste to stay, it would only bring her more pain and suffering. Gary thought to himself.

At that moment, he failed like a failure. He could only bring endless pain and suffering to the girl he liked, and his feelings for her were a burden to her.

If he would only continue to burden Celeste, it would be better to set her free.

However, since she was already here, he still needed to try his best to make her stay.

If he could not make her stay despite his best efforts, then he would not have any more regrets.

"It's none of your business anymore," Celeste said.

Gary frowned. "You're being irresponsible. Are you unsure whether you should continue your studies or not if we're no longer together?"

"I just want to make my own decisions. I don't want my life to be planned out by other people. Is that too much to ask? Why must all of you force me?" Celeste looked up, a hint of anxiousness in her words.

Gary was a little stunned. He did not expect Celeste to be so agitated. Based on her attitude, it really seemed like she was feeling burdened.

"All right. I won't force you." Gary's tone was as calm as ever. He lowered his head and looked at her. "Didn't I already tell you? You can go back to Boston and continue your studies. That's what a mature adult should do."

"That's for me to decide," Celeste replied. "I just don't want to follow your arrangements. I don't want to continue my studies. Can you understand me clearly now?"

Gary was startled once again when he heard that.

"If you give up on your studies, then all your effort all these years will go to waste!" Gary protested, feeling that Celeste was being particularly emotional.

He felt that she had changed.

"I know it's quite irresponsible, but I just don't think it's necessary for me to continue my studies with you anymore. Do you understand what I'm saying?" Celeste answered.

Gary glanced at Celeste for a long time. He finally said, "Are you angry at me for driving you away two nights ago and telling you to go back to Boston? Are you angry about that?"

When Gary asked her that, Celeste's chest tightened. At first, she did not want Grace and Heinz to worry about her, so she acted against her own will.

However, Gary refused to cooperate with her and wanted to drive her away. Now that she had left, he came back to find her. Celeste was really speechless at that.

Celeste smiled bitterly. "Yes, I'm very angry. Can't I be angry?"

Gary's pupils contracted after hearing that. He narrowed his eyes and said, "I'm sorry. I know I didn't handle that matter well. I was too emotional, and I apologize for that. It was my mistake. Come back with me, okay?"

He tried hard to calm himself down. He wanted to speak to Celeste gently in hopes of getting her back.

However, Celeste replied, "Go back by yourself. We've already talked about this. I don't want to go back with you anymore. Let me be. I want to be alone in the future."

"I'm afraid I can't let that happen. Either you return to Boston to study, or go back to the Jones family while I return to Boston alone. I'll agree to break up with you, so long as you continue your studies," said Gary.

"You'll agree to break up with me?" Celeste asked, a little surprised. She could hardly believe it. She had a feeling that he would not keep his promise.

She had never had the chance to make her own decisions about her life. And even now, she felt that she could not get along with him anymore. With her personality, she felt that she was not good enough for him. In the end, she would only make herself feel guilty for being a burden to him. Therefore, there was only one thought in Celeste's mind, and that was to break up.

She loved him, so she was willing to give him everything. She would give him his freedom and a better life, even if it meant that she could not be with him.

That would be the best for them, and for the Jones family.

Celeste took a deep breath and raised her head to look at Gary. "Let's cut all contact with each other. I'll find a good job and work hard You should go back and continue your studies. Let's not meet each other anymore so as to avoid any awkwardness."

Gary frowned hard. His body stiffened as he swallowed a lump in his throat, and his heart filled with bitterness.

Celeste did not want to see Gary anymore in the future? Just how disgusted was she with him to have such a thought? Gary thought to himself. He chuckled bitterly.

Celeste felt even more uneasy when she saw him sneer like that.

She looked away, not daring to look at his face. "You don't have to sneer. These are my real thoughts. Not meeting each other is the best for the both of us."

"I don't think so," Gary replied in a low voice. "I've always wondered what's wrong with meeting up even after the relationship has ended? Even if we aren't together, we can still be friends."

"I'm sorry, but I just can't do it," Celeste said coldly. "I admire your way of thinking, but that's just how I am. I don't want to see you anymore."

"In the end it's because you still

don't trust me." Gary thought that Celeste simply did not want to believe in him or that she was deeply troubled by that matter. Otherwise, why would she be acting like that? This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.

"Okay, fine. I admit that I don't believe you," Celeste said, her tone icy. Gary felt a pang in his heart.

He frowned.

When he saw how stubborn Celeste was, he felt both annoyed and furious.

"Just what do I have to say to make you more obedient? I'm asking you to go back to continue your studies in Boston. If you don't want to go back, I don't mind sending you back."

"If you want to back me into a corner, then suit yourself." Celeste's tone was cold, and even her words sounded impatient.

She could not believe that he dared to say that he would force her.

Gary staggered backward, his body tensing. He looked at Celeste with a sad expression.

Then, he let out a wry smile.

"I'm really such a failure," he muttered to himself with a bitter smile. "So, this is how you think of me. Not only do you not trust me, but you're even rejecting me like this. Hah, I'm really such a failure."

She felt a little sorry for him when she heard that. She lowered her head and pursed her lips, but she did not say anything.

Her actions left Gary utterly disappointed.

When he finally spoke again, his

words were even harsher. "You can break up with me, but you don't have the right to stop your studies because the Jones family is paying

for your tuition fees. Think about how you're going to explain it to my parents."
