Under the Heiress' Facade

Chapter 474

Chapter 474

The mention of her daughter made Catherine teary.

She explained, "Herie came this far solely because of her talent and effort. I taught her only the basics of alternative medicine, and she could figure out the rest herself. She's able to achieve success because of herself.

"When I brought you back to the mountains, I wanted to teach you medicine so that you could take over my career. But you didn't want to learn and left without a word-

"I don't care!" Giselle interrupted. 'If I hadn't been switched when I was young, I wouldn't have ended up like this. Hera stole all of my luck. Whatever honor she has right now is rightfully mine!

"She has stolen so many things away from me and now, she's trying to steal the status of Mrs. Killian from me! You're my biological grandmother. You shouldn't be helping her but me! If you don't, Mom won't be able to rest in peace up there."

Catherine gaped at her absurdity. If the two babies hadn't switched back then, Hera wouldn't have needed to suffer so much with Catherine either.

Catherine wiped her tears away. 'Do you know why your mother passed away? Have you visited your father?" "Why should I?" Giselle questioned back.

Giselle didn't see Catherine as someone important. In fact, she wouldn't have come to visit Catherine if it weren't for her medical skills. How could she be interested in meeting her father whom she hadn't met even once?

Her sole wish was to indulge in the Killians' wealth. She couldn't care less about her father, who was a murderer sentenced to life imprisonment.

Besides, her mother passed away due to a car crash. Giselle figured that that worked well for her. Who knew? Her mother might take Hera's side like Catherine would if she were still alive.

Catherine's heart sunk at that. She coldly ordered, 'Get out. I'll never go with you."

Giselle thought she heard it wrongly. Previously, Catherine would always listen to her requests whenever she brought up her mother because she was Catherine's only family.

But today, Catherine told her off!

Giselle concluded in her head, "Hera must've brainwashed her."

"Do you still want my mom's documents and photos?" questioned Giselle icily.

Catherine's lips parted. Those were the only things she had about her daughter.

Noticing Catherine's hesitance, Giselle added, "I'll give you three days to think about it, Grandma. Leave Hera and come with me. Otherwise, I'll burn those things in front of her grave and tell her how you're treating her daughter. I bet you wish her to rest in peace, don't you?

"Plus, even if you don't help me, I can take Hera down myself because I'm one of the Killians now. When that happens, don't blame me for not giving you a chance. You'd better think it through." Giselle then left with confident strides.

"You..." Catherine flopped onto the chair, crying.

Hera met up with Leon at Imperial Hotel. They entered the place together. A staff escorted them to a private room on the top floor.

Imperial Hotel comprised ten floors. The higher the floor, the more important the guests. Not anyone could go to the tenth floor; it was only accommodated to the Killian family.

The fact that Frederick invited them to a private room on the tenth floor proved his sincerity in the

collaboration.

The waiter brewed a teapot of Earl Grey for them before pouring them a cup each. He informed politely, Please wait for a moment. Mr. Frederick will be here soon."

Then, he left the room.

"How should I address you later?" Leon drank the tea.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

"Just introduce me as your assistant." Hera casually took out a book and a pen from her bag.

He almost spilled the tea. "Do you think he'll believe that?"

Dr. Shadow as his assistant?

Just who would believe such a feeble lie?
