Unrivaled Dragon Lord

Chapter 10: The Manny and the Businesswoman!

Chapter 10: The Manny and the Businesswoman!

Greta walked in the front elegantly while Maxwell followed behind. Although he was wearing that

expensive suit, those who didn't know about their relationship would probably think that he was a

pursuer of Greta who was peeping at her!

Entering the villa, a middle-aged man in a suit walked out to greet them.

"Greta, it's been so rare of you to come home to have a meal. Your mother misses you so much." The

middle-aged man welcomed her.

The middle-aged man was very tall. Time did not leave any traces on his face. Instead, it made him

more mature and enhanced his strong aura. At the first glance, one could tell that he was a big shot.

Maxwell immediately guessed the identity of the middle-aged man. Greta's father, Derrick, the

chairman of the Sandoval Group, was the founder of the business. Derrick had tens of billions of wealth

and was a tycoon in the business world of the Ocean City.

When he saw Maxwell, a skinny and frail man who was following Greta with a flattering smile, Derrick

was astounded for a moment. Then he remembered who he was. He smiled enthusiastically and

greeted Maxwell, "Mr. Maxwell!"

"Chairman Derrick." Maxwell nodded and smiled faintly.

"Mr. Maxwell, long time no see. How have you been with my daughter recently? My daughter is so

willful that you must have been worried a lot about her," Derrick said.

Hearing Derrick's words, Greta's face froze. Then, she stomped her feet indignantly and shouted,

"Dad!"

Greta could not accept the fact that her father was so polite to Maxwell, and he even said that she was

a willful person! It was him who was a coward and kept pestering her, creating a headache for her!

"Let's talk inside." Derrick enthusiastically led Greta and Maxwell into the mansion.

After entering the mansion, Greta did not want to see Maxwell for another second. She directly went

upstairs angrily and locked herself in her bedroom.

After Derrick brought Maxwell into the living room, a graceful woman walked out and made tea for

them.

The middle-aged woman was well maintained and had an elegant temperament. It seemed like she

was born in a scholarly family. Her facial features were exquisite, and she was somewhat similar to

Greta. Maxwell had seen this woman a few months ago. She should be Greta's mother, Danika Baron.

"Mr. Maxwell, do you have any opinions on the design of this mansion?" Derrick asked.

"The design is very good. I have no opinions." Maxwell smiled.

"Just now, I saw that you seemed to be very familiar with everything here after entering the mansion.

Could it be that you've seen the designs elsewhere?" Derrick spoke slowly with probe in his eyes

Earlier, he had been observing Maxwell. He discovered that Maxwell didn't look as shocked as an

ordinary person would be when they saw a luxurious mansion. He was surprisingly calm. Even when

he saw various architectural styles in a single mansion, he was not surprised.

Derrick had investigated Maxwell. Maxwell was just an ordinary person without any special

background. However, Maxwell's calmness exceeded his imagination.

In fact, Derrick had many candidates for Greta, but in the end, Greta's grandfather, who lived in Beijing,

suddenly recommended Maxwell.

Derrick respected Greta's grandfather very much. First, he was his father. Second, Greta's grandfather

wouldn't say anything without a reason.

Derrick originally thought that Maxwell had some special background, but after he sent someone to

investigate, he found that Maxwell was ordinary. Like Greta, he didn't understand his father's intentions.

However, this did not affect Derrick's respect for Maxwell. If Maxwell was really an ordinary person, but

had a good relationship with Greta's grandfather, then there must be something extraordinary about

him.

Derrick smiled as he looked at Maxwell. He had been in the business world for decades, and he was

good at reading people, but he couldn't see through Maxwell.

"Mr. Maxwell, do you smoke?" Derrick asked.

"Yes, but I quit now." Maxwell smiled faintly.

"Quit? Is it because Greta doesn't like the smell of cigarettes?" Derrick chuckled.

"Now that Greta has gone upstairs, she won't know if we smoke," Derrick said.

Maxwell nodded. Derrick took out a cigarette case from his pocket, picked a precious Cuban cigar that

he had kept for a long time, and personally lit it for Maxwell.

Very quickly, a unique smell filled the room.

Maxwell slowly expelled a mouthful of smoke and clicked his mouth. "Chairman Derrick, this cigar of

yours is quite expensive, isn't it? The Cuban Cohiba cigar tastes pretty mellow."

Derrick's eyes narrowed slightly and he was somewhat surprised. "You know about this cigar?"

Maxwell smiled faintly. "I was fortunate enough to have smoked one before."

Derrick nodded. "This is a precious cigar that I got someone to buy from an auction held in Cuba. This

series are popular, but few people can buy them because of limited supplies, and I still have some

stock. Mr. Maxwell, it's your lucky day today!"

Maxwell smiled. What Derrick said was correct. This series were sold in a sky-high price on the market,

countless people asked for it but failed ... But in Maxwell's villa in Colombia, there were several boxes

of the same cigars!

"Why did Chairman Derrick ask me and Greta to come here today?" Maxwell asked.

"I haven't seen you for months. I'd like to have a gathering and a chat." Derrick chuckled. "Today, I

specially invited a chef team from a Michelin Three-Starred Restaurant. Mr. Maxwell, enjoy the

delicacies later."

After chatting with Maxwell for a while, it was time for dinner. The banquet was extremely sumptuous.

When Maxwell saw the dishes, he almost couldn't control his saliva.

Seeing Maxwell like this, Derrick felt relieved. This was what an ordinary person should do.

Shortly after Maxwell sat down, a series of "clopping" sound rang out at the stairs. Very soon, Greta

walked down in a pair of sandals and sat down beside Maxwell.

Seeing Maxwell, Greta glared at him fiercely. Obviously, she was still angry about what had happened

during the day.

"Dad, mom, when can we start the meal? I'm starving," Greta asked.

"Wait a moment. I have a friend yet to come." Derrick smiled mysteriously.

"Friend? Dad, you never invite people over for dinner." Greta crossed her arms around her chest and

frowned slightly.

"You'll know why when he comes later. This person should have a good relationship with you," Derrick

said.

Derrick's words aroused Greta's curiosity. There were very few people who could get along with Greta,

and Greta could not guess who would be invited by Derrick.

Beside her, Maxwell was wolfing down. He had no etiquette when eating, and Greta despised him for

being shameless, as if he had taken here as his home.

These delicacies made by the Michelin 3-star chefs weren't abundant in amount, and they were

consumed in an instant by Maxwell.

Derrick laughed out loud when he saw this scene. "Mr. Maxwell doesn't hold back. You are a

straightforward person."

Maxwell chuckled. How could he refuse a free meal? Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

Although Maxwell might not be interested in these delicacies overseas, he hardly had such delicacies

after returning to China for several months, so his appetite was booming.

Greta sat beside Maxwell and looked at him eating crazily with such shamelessness. She felt even

more dissatisfied and disgusted.

"Shame on you ..." Greta pursed her lips. He looked like a hooligan! She was thinking about how to talk

to Derrick after dinner about asking Maxwell to move out. She didn't want to see him for another

second!

Suddenly, a servant walked in and said to Derrick, "Chairman Derrick, the guest is here."

"Hurry, hurry up and take him in." Derrick smiled brighter.

Very quickly, a man wearing a limited edition Louis Vuitton suit walked in with a large gift box in his

hand and a smile on his face.

"Mr. Derrick, I was stuck in something on my way. I'm late, sorry." The man's temperament was chic,

and he was tall and sturdy. The Rolex watch that he inadvertently revealed on his wrist shone with

golden light.

"Edmund, have a seat. We've been waiting for you." Derrick was enthusiastic as he beckoned the man

to sit down.

"Edmund?" Greta frowned and looked at the young man with surprise.

"Edmund, you know both of us. Let me introduce him you. This is my son-in-law, Maxwell," Derrick

introduced.

At this moment, Maxwell was gnawing on a chicken leg crazily, wolfing it down with his oily hands.

Greta, who was standing beside him, saw this scene and made a facepalm ... She lost her face

because of him!

"I've heard much about you from Greta, but I never had the chance to see you. Greta told me that you

prefer to be a manny?" Edmund looked at Maxwell and chuckled with disdain flashed in his eyes.

Maxwell raised his head, wiped his hands, and smiled faintly. "Greta enjoys being the businesswoman,

and I can't snatch the job from her, so, I have to be a manny."

Edmund looked at Maxwell with stronger contempt. "But I feel that men should be responsible for

earning money. A smart and beautiful woman like Greta should be well cared for. After all, a kept man

is no different from trash."
