We Got Love, The Crazy Kind

Chapter 60 Rest Assured

Chapter 60 Rest Assured

As instructed by the nurse on duty, Mia rushed to the CT room and asked Mrs. Cavendish and the

butler Mr. Smith: “Mum! How is Jack doing?”

Swollen eyed from crying, Mrs. Cavendish held Mia’s hands: “He broke his leg and injured soft tissues.

We are still waiting for the CT scan result of head trauma.”

With tears pooled in her eyes, Mia said: “Mum, don’t worry. These are small injuries that will heal soon.

Jack will be fine.”

Mrs. Cavendish wiped her eyes: “What if something is wrong with his brain? He is the only male heir to

inherit the family estate! So bad for Jack to run to the accident right after your dad’s business trip to

Australia. What can I say to your dad?”

“What on earth happened to Jack?”

“On his way driving to buy the tickets of an exhibition, a tramp emerged from nowhere. He ran into the

wall to shun the man.” Her tears started to fall again: “What a silly boy! We can totally afford the

compensations. Jack’s life is much more previous!”

Holding back her tears, Mia comforted her mum: “Take it easy, Mummy. Jack is a good boy. God will

show mercy to him.”

Mr. Smith said: “Yes, madam! Mr. Cavendish is a good man since he was young. God will bless him!”

Just then, the door of CT room opened. Jack was lying on bed, leg in a plaster cast, pale in face.

People flocked in.

“Sir, how is my son doing?” Mrs. Cavendish asked the doctor in concern.

“The report will be prepared in half an hour. Please wait for the results in the rest room.” Doctors at

private hospitals were always attentive.

“Jack, how are you feeling?” Mia felt bad to see the wounds on his face and head.

Jack grinned: “Mia, I am okay. Just a broken bone. Three months later I will be as right as rain.” Then,

he turned to the housekeeper: “Mr. Smith. Have you got the tickets of the painting exhibition?”

What a child! Mia wished she could teach him a good lesson but for his injuries: “Mind your wound!

Painting is never your thing. What makes you interested in painting exhibitions anyway?”

Jack flushed: “Just want to have a look…”

That was odd! Mia glanced his face up and down: “Come on, Jack, be honest! What the matter with

you?”

Mr. Smith smiled: “Yesterday, Mr. Cavendish asked my son to pick gifts for a girl.”

Gifts for a girl? Mia smiled: “Finally, our little Jacky has grown up! Who is she? Invite her to visit our

family.”

Jack abashed: “Mia! Not yet! Just a secret crush. I don’t know how she feels about me.”

Mrs. Cavendish chuckled: “The Cavendish’s man never worries for love. Let me help you!”

“Don’t bother, mummy!” Jack knew his mother well. “Save your efforts. I will nail it myself.”

Mrs. Cavendish fondled him on the head: “Jack, you know our rules: Date whoever you like and never

ever marry any show girl or pop star.”

Jack grinned broadly: “Rest assured, mum. She must be one hundred percent a good girl from a

decent family.”Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
