When Alaric saw how rudely Asher was treating Lemira, suppressing her, he suddenly remembered how he used to do the same thing.

Alaric felt a tightness in his chest. No wonder Lucian kept saying Lemira was heartbroken, he never understood why before.

Asher frowned, "Alaric, don't defend Lemira. We'll know the truth after the investigation."

The lead investigator looked straight at Lemira and said sternly, "We hope you'll answer honestly. Did you cheat or not?"

Lemira coldly replied, "No, and you've already asked me once. Is there any point in asking again?"

The lead investigator was surprised, "This is our first time talking to you, what second time?"

Now it was Lemira's turn to be shocked, "Really? The school was already investigated a few days ago."

Asher gazed at the lead investigator, "Even if you investigate again, it's fine."

Evelina looked at the lead investigator, feeling a sense of foreboding. Were they asking her to testify?

Evelina felt ecstatic, "Lemmy and I are classmates. I know her grades aren't great, though she improved a lot in the last few months. I think maybe she really did pull off a miracle this time."

"We're not here to ask about that."

and looked at Asher pleadingly, "Asher really didn't cheat. What's this about? Are they accusing me of cheating?"
