When They Beg, I Rise!

Chapter 451

Caspian was gripping Evelina's neck so tight, he wished he could end her right there.

From the start, he was against Asher bringing the chauffeur's daughter back to the Langston mansion.

She turned out to be nothing but trouble!

Lemira stormed out, cutting ties with the family, and Evelina's scheming couldn't be ignored.

Evelina's face turned a shade of purple, unable to utter a single word.

It was the agent in the passenger seat who snapped Caspian out of it, "Hey, let go! What if she dies on you?"

Only then did Caspian loosen his grip. Evelina gasped for air, her throat and lungs screaming in pain.

For a moment, she thought she was a goner.

If it weren't illegal, Caspian would've gladly killed her.

Evelina, panic-stricken, coughed, "Caspian, I was young and foolish, said things I shouldn't have. Please, don't hold it against me."

"Kneel."

Caspian's voice was ice as he stared at Evelina, pulling out his phone to record, "Now, apologize to Lemira. Make her believe your regret. Otherwise, I'll make your life a living hell." Kneeling on the car floor, Evelina clutched her skirt tightly.

How she hated this man.

If only she could reach her dad, she'd have Caspian taken care of.

Asher knew Caspian was violent, yet he insisted she apologize.

The Langstons were turning against her. She needed an exit strategy.

Maybe it was time to meet her resurrected father.

When Caspian noticed Evelina's silence, he slapped her, "Apologize! Are you deaf?"

The slap left Evelina dizzy, her cheek burning. Holding her face, she whimpered, "I was wrong back then, lying and deceiving. Lemira, please forgive me just this once. It's my fault, not Caspian's."

Caspian, grabbing her hair, demanded, "Face the camera when you speak. Start over!" Despite the pain, Evelina didn't dare retaliate, knowing Caspian's fury all too well.

After Caspian had his moment, he sneered, "Don't think just because you're the chauffeur's daughter, you can replace Lemira as Ms. Langston. Dream on. You're nothing but a pet to the Langston family."

Evelina's eyes darkened with resolve. She swore revenge.

Caspian ordered the driver, "Stop the car."

As the vehicle halted, he looked at Evelina with disgust, "Get out. You have one day to make Lemira

forgive you. Otherwise, you'll suffer

the same fate she did."

"I understand," Evelina mumbled, tumbling out of the car. Her luxury heels fell off, but Caspian threw them out after her, dismissing her like a beggar.

Picking up her shoes, Evelina watched Caspian drive away, determined.

With the Langstons siding with Lemira, it was time for Evelina to find her own way.

She dialed the mysterious number, once believing she'd never need her so-called father if she became Ms. Langston.

But times had changed.

The call connected, a middle-aged man's voice greeted, "My dear daughter, what do you need my help with now?"

"Let's meet. I'm considering your proposal to work together and bleed the Langston family dry."noveldrama

Evelina, nursing her wounds, was filled with hatred.

She vowed to make those Langston brothers, who looked down on her, regret it and grovel at her feet.

"Good, let's meet now. I'm free. Follow the instructions I gave you to avoid being spotted."
