Winning Her Heart Again

Chapter 17: He's Here

Chapter 17: He's Here

"You don't have to cancel your meeting today, "I already told David. " I said while he's cooking for our breakfast. I told him that I'd help, but he said he could manage.

"I already did. Besides, my client said that she has an important meeting today, so we agreed to have a meeting tomorrow," he said and placed the food on the table. "Daddy Uncle look!" When we turned around we saw David riding his car.

"David! Stop that. I told you not to play inside!" I shouted when he drove away. I ran after him and he drove faster.

This kid! He's really hard-headed.

"Just let him be Jaz!" Diego shouted from the kitchen but I just glared at him.

"Oh common! Can't you see? He's not listening to me! David!" I shouted and looked at him and he's already in front of the gate.

"Can I drive outside, mom?" he asked me. I was about to get mad when Diego walked towards me. He knew that I was losing my temper.

"David, listen to your mom. Could you please go inside now? Look she's getting mad, do you want to see an alive dinosaur?" He whispered the last words and I didn't hear it.

I just saw David's eyes widen in shock, and the next thing, he shook his head.

"What are you guys talking about out there?" I walked closer to them but they just both smiled at me.

"Nothing, go inside now." He told David and he immediately followed what he said.

Excuse me?! I'm her mother but why does he always listen to Diego?

"She's just a kid, Jaz. Maybe have a longer patient next time, okay? I know it's hard to take good care of a kid, but it is what it is." He said and asked me to get inside so we could eat our breakfast because after that, we would go to the park. He's right, it's just that sometimes because of tiredness I easily lose my temper. Luckily Diego is here.

"When we go there, don't let go of my hand or Diego's hand, okay? What did I tell you? When you realize that we are not around, in case you can't find or we can't you, don't just go with the people you don't know." I kept on reminding him even last night before he fell asleep.

"Listen to you Mom David, but I know it won't happen and I will not let that happen" he said and messed up David's hair.

After we finished our breakfast, I helped David take a bath. I just let him wear a black shirt and a white shirt. After I'm done taking a shower, I only wear jeans and a crop top. I just tied my hair and put light makeup on.

After I was done, we went outside, and we saw Diego wearing black jeans and a white shirt like us. He's also wearing sunglasses and I can't deny that he totally looks great.

If I didn't know Diego, I could have mistaken him for a model. He offered us sunglasses, and David wore them immediately. I laughed because of our outfit.

"Better than wearing a dress", he even said, which made me glare at him.

"Are you telling me that I don't look fine wearing a dress?" My eyebrows furrowed. He shook his head like he wanted to take back his words.

"That's not what I mean. You always

look great, but I would prefer you wear this. I know heels make your job harder" he said, trying to explain his thought to me.

We went inside the car and I was sitting in the front seat while David was in the back seat.

He even insisted on bringing his car but I did not agree.

After how many Minutes, we had already arrived at the place. There were too many people around, and when I looked at the other side, I already knew the reason why.

Just like what Diego said, he will be the one to carry David. Some of the people here are staring at us like we're some kind of artist.

"Do you want to play now or let's just buy you ice cream?" he asked my son.

I looked around, and there are a lot

of changes happening here. I remember the first time he dated me here. It was not crowded, and there were a lot of flowers, but now it's too different.

"Here," he handed me an ice cream.

I looked at David and he seemed not enjoying coming here.

"Why do you look sad?" I asked him and he sighs. Maybe he doesn't want a place that is too crowded.

"Can we just go somewhere else, mom?" He said, looking around. I looked at Diego. He seemed to understand why he didn't want to be here.

"Of Course where do you want to go?" Diego asked him. He just pouted and didn't answer his question. seemed like he was not in the mood right now.

"I want to go home." Diego cheered him up and told him that we could go somewhere, and he knew different places.

We decided to leave the place where Diego carried David while I was at their back. While we were walking, someone suddenly caught my attention.

It's him, I can't be wrong. I removed my sunglasses and he suddenly disappeared.

My heart beat faster. I held my chest. Then suddenly I held my wrist. I'm surprised when Diego is looking at me worried.

"We've been looking at you," he said in a worried voice.

"Are you alright, Mom?" my son asked me, and he was not sitting on Diego's shoulder.

"Sorry, I-nothing. Let's go?" I smiled at them, and we started walking together.

Maybe that's not him. What is he doing here in a crowded place? Unless he's with his family.

That's not Him, Jasmine; there's nothing to worry about. You won't meet you here, and if ever you meet him. Just act like you didn't know

him. Act like nothing me

Don't let him or them hurt you again. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
