Redwood is not going to recover from this. They have an entire underground facility right underneath the city. Under each of the towers, Darren Phurry designed for the alpha are about twenty stories of sub–basement. There are six towers. Six sectors and they all connect to the one in the middle of the city right where the Lycan Tech main tower stands.

No one knows about this. How does no one know that this beast of a man has a massive underground facility under one of the biggest tourist attraction cities in the US? Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.

“Are you just going to watch, your majesty?” James asks almost mockingly.

“Sir, your armor,” Lillie jogs over to me with a box in her arms. “She spoils you,” she smirks and opens the box to see she customized my things with an airbrushed crown. The King is written over Monster scratches are also airbrushed across the back in gold and black. “That is the cutest thing ever,

“She’s an asshole,”

I roll my eyes and take the vest out of the box. My ski mask’s eyes are trimmed gold as well. My protective goggles have gold film going over the front. I am going to be a walking fucking target.

“You think she wants you out of the way so she can reign solo?” James grins as he and his team finish gearing up.

“Look how fucking good you look in this,” Perry comes out of nowhere. I stare at her because we’re fucking matching. “Alpha teams all have to be distinguishable from the others. We don’t want to get mistaken for the enemy. My guys know what they’re doing,”

“Oh,” I say leaning closer to turn her around. On her back says Queen Bitch Mother Fuckers.

“Did you see Jordan’s and Mike’s?she giggles devilishly and points at them. Jordan’s vest reads Michael’s Cousin Jordan. Michael’s vest reads Jordan’s Cousin Michael. “I wish they were brothers. It would be so much more funnier,”

“We have a visual,” Violetta’s voice comes through. “They’re scrambling. Are we all in position?”

I watch as she pulls her mask on. I take a moment to appreciate her like this. She’s wearing black cargo pants fitted to her perfect round ass. The under–armor top she’s wearing is fitted to her torso and the vest over it just shows off her curves that much more. She has an almost glowing aura against all that black.

“Okay, no ski mask for me. I’ll use my scarf,” she pulls the mask off and tosses it aside. She takes a pair of gold safety glasses from the Jeep and clips her AR to her vest. “Yes, James I did say that,” she rolls her eyes when she turns back to face me. “Because you’re the expendable ones. Try not to die or get in the way. Are you in position?” she asks as she fixes her ponytail.

open what’s “Perfect,” she presses her earpiece. “In position. Shoot anything that runs out at you. As soon as those doors trapped inside is going to want out,”

When she explained the plan she said that as soon as they got through the firewalls the entire thing was going to shut down trapping everyone inside. The bombs are in the lower levels which means they’re going to head up and toward the center where they will try to escape from Lycan Tech Tower. Orders are no one makes it out alive. Everyone except for the kid.

“Getting through these tunnels is the easy part. Make sure you have everything you need,” Knightly adds.

“Any requests?” Perry asks.

“Don’t fucking start,” he growls.

“Aww come on, Knight. It’s tradition. Team strikes are rare. This is the second run we go on together,” Violetta laughs.

“I agree, Knight. Baby has yet to see you perform live. It doesn’t have to be one of yours,” Roman says.

“Fine. What’s the request?” be caves.

*Family by Badflower,” Perry says after a long pause. “Seems perfect for us,”

“You just don’t fucking quit, do you?” he growls at her.

“I try to,” Perry whispers.

“You two make me fucking sick,” Violetta scoffs. “Sing her the fucking song. You started all of this. All you had to do was keep your mouth fucking shut,”

Perry grins big and a moment later his voice comes through. She stands in the center of the tunnel, waves her hand in a circular motion, and then waves it forward. The lights cut off and the vampire teams that had been standing behind us crawl up the sides of the tunnel and disappear into the darkness up ahead.

I’ve never heard this song before but the lyrics are unsettling. I’ve made fun of Perry for her very alternative sense of style, but this peak into her life is teaching me a lot about her. I thought she was alone.

The feral wolf I fell in love with only existed because she wanted the people who love her as far away from the impending catastrophe that comes with going feral. She knew she didn’t have long so she started burning bridges. Pushing them as far as she could to protect them and in the end, that included me and our people. Yet, she firmly believes she’s just some selfish cold–blooded killer.

I find that I love that about her. She doesn’t give herself any kind of credit. She has to be the strongest person I know and will ever meet. All of them. Because these people are the family she’s collected despite their circumstances.

“I’ve got movement,” Baby whispers.

The sound of loading weapons echoes in the darkness. A new hum starts from Perry. This I recognize. The beginning of So Cold by Breaking Benjamin.

“Now we’re talking Terabyte,” Knightly praises her and starts to sing the song.

The massive dual doors open up ahead and a huge puff of smoke blows into the tunnel. Perry turns back to look at me as she sings along with the others. She pulls at her scarf and covers her mouth but not before blowing me a kiss.

I adjust my protective gear and make sure my weapon is loaded. I tuck it into position and follow behind her. Screeching comes from above where the vampires are waiting for the cue. We all get into position as the smoke gives way to a flashing red light.

“They’re kids,” someone in the front shouts.

Sure enough, there are children no older than ten standing in front of us all dressed in white hospital attire.

“Light em up,” Violetta calls out and all hell breaks loose.

Perry is the first one to open fire and as she does some of the children cry out inhuman screeches and charge us. A purple pulse burst through the front sending the kids in front flying back, but they don’t stay back.

“Fucking hybrids,” Roman shouts through the connection.

The vampires flood in and start ripping away at them. The children are fighting back. Some of them are strong enough to take down full–fledged vamps with their bare hands.

“Snap out of it,” James runs over to me as I watch what is unfolding in front of me. He shoves me and kills a kid running towards us. “Fucking help or get the fuck out of the way,”

He’s pulled away from me. He hits the kid pulling at one of his arms and fires against another one, but they keep coming. Without thinking about it any further I squeeze the trigger and get the ones on his back off. I rip the one trying to bite him

off and slam it on the floor–The thing just gets back up and I have no other choice but to put it down.

“Push,” Perry shouts.

I look up to see her and her team up front clearing the way with the vampires. The others are struggling to get over the dead bodies. I hold my hand out and push them all against the wall. James stops and looks back at me. The distraction catches us both off guard and a kid jumps out from under the bodies at him. I hold it up as it snarls and snaps its tiny razor–sharp teeth at my brother,

He stumbles away and then looks at me. I squeeze the band I put around it and it explodes inside of it I swipe my hand away and the blood splatters against the wall. It looks like black paint in the lighting and a small part of me is glad it does.

“Stop dicking around, Jimmy. That one almost got you,” I smack his arm. “I can’t be there to save your ass all the time,”
