Chapter 21 The King of Cuckolds
Freya Stone didn’t react at first, she looked up at him for two seconds before realizing what he was referring to. But there was no response. This man must have more humiliating words for her. She lowered her head and shoveled rice into her mouth, wanting to finish eating quickly.
Elijah frowned repeatedly in the face of her silence, “Why are you eating so fast? No one is competing with you.”
He felt inexplicable. Watching her devour the food with no regard for manners, he somehow found her adorable rather than rude. Compared to those women who liked to pose and pretend, real women were much more authentic.
After taking the last bite, Freya drank two sips of water and retorted, “Whether I eat fast or slow is my own business. Do you have any right to interfere?”
For Freya, there was nothing to be afraid of being threatened by him since she had lost her job because of this man.
Elijah slowly lifted his eyelids, a hint of coldness showing between his eyebrows.
“Are you living impatiently?” he asked.
He was curious and a bit annoyed as Freya had the guts to contradict him.
Freya glared at him, her eyes filled with coldness.
“I’m tired of living, so if you have the ability to kill me with those dirty and despicable means, what kind of hero are you?” said Freya.
Elijah was at a loss and didn’t understand what she was saying.
“Do you have an illness?” asked he.
Freya wanted to calm herself down, but she couldn’t when she thought about how close she was to being with Ronan Vega. She sneered and called out his name, “Elijah Silverton, don’t push me too far. If you make me angry, I’ll tell everyone that I’m your wife. And I want everyone to know that you’ve been cuckolded by me! You’re the king of cuckolds!”
Elijah stared at her expressionlessly, his pupils involuntarily shrinking slightly, and a sharp light flashed in the depths of his eyes. “Do you know what you’re talking about?”
Freya laughed and replied, “I know, but I’m not afraid of you. Every time you want someone else to rape me, I knew it, trying to please you is useless because you’re an inhumane beast!”
Elijah, infuriated, stood up and approached her, grabbing her throat. Intense rage made him want to end the life of the woman in front of him!
She was really bold and daring!
Freya gasped for breath as she struggled to utter the syllables from her throat, “That’s… more like you. Always bullying women…”
Her face was getting redder and redder.
Elijah curled his lips, his arrogant eyebrows, and an evil sneer, “Bullying women is not my strong point, but bullying you is.”
Freya’s chest rose and fell with difficulty, the oxygen in her lungs was squeezed out, and she could no longer breathe.
She still stared at him with stubborn and hateful eyes.
Linda watched nervously as Freya was about to be strangled, and she mustered up the courage to step forward and plead, “Sir, Miss Stone didn’t mean it. Please don’t be mad at her…”
Elijah didn’t show mercy just because someone asked for mercy. He wanted to see how poisonous and tough this woman’s mouth was!
“Madam, please say something nice. Mr Silverton is not a bad person.” Linda said anxiously, spinning around.
Freya refused to loosen her grip and a mocking smirk played at the corner of her lips. “He’s not… a bad person?” she asked in a sarcastic tone as if she had heard a joke.
“That man, he didn’t succeed… so you’re angry and embarrassed?” She sneered at Elijah.
“What man?” Elijah finally realized something was wrong. The force on the hand has loosened a bit.
She gasped hurriedly, “You led me to Blue Bridge, just to… let someone defile me?”
Elijah squinted his eyes, and something sharp and thorny suddenly pierced his lungs. The breath he took in was a little painful, “You said I let someone harm you?”
“What are you pretending to be? Are you all talk and no action? Is it because I didn’t fall for that man’s trap, that you’re disappointed?” She gritted her teeth and held back her emotions.
Elijah shrugged her off and exclaimed, “I didn’t do it!”
Freya was almost tripped when she got dumped, but Linda caught her and helped her stand firmly.
“You are my wife, as long as you are still alive, I will not let other men defile you. I don’t want to be a cuckold.” His face was also quite ugly. “Who was him?”
Freya looked at him.
According to his personality, he wouldn’t deny it if it was really him. With such a proud character, he was not the type of person who would do something and then be too afraid to admit it.
“Speak, who was him?” Elijah was inexplicably angry. He himself was not sure why he got so angry when he found out that she was almost defiled by someone else.
“The man from last time…”
Freya hadn’t finished speaking when Elijah realized who it was. When he came out of Blue Bridge, he ran into Ronan Vega. He understood what was going on in an instant!
The more bleak the sky was before a storm, the uglier his face became. He walked out recklessly, seemingly anticipating the scene of Freya Stone being taken advantage of by someone, and he couldn’t remain calm. To him, this was also a disgrace! Even if someone had to be bullied, he was the only one who could do it.
Leaving the villa, Elijah got into his car and started the engine while making a phone call to Xander.
The call connected quickly. “Go find Ronan Vega!”
“Yes.”
He hung up the phone and drove out.
Thirty minutes later, Xander brought Ronan Vega to the company. Ronan Vega complained incessantly. “Why did you bring me here so late at night?”Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
Xander didn’t know and didn’t answer.
“If you don’t talk, I’m leaving!” Ronan Vega tried to leave but was caught by Xander. “Mr Silverton wants to see you.”
“Why does he want to see me?”
His words had just fallen when Elijah arrived in his car.
The car stopped and he got out of it with big strides towards them. His fierce pressure swept over like a hurricane. Xander’s eyes widened, wondering who had angered him this time. Thinking about it, he glanced at Ronan Vega before taking two steps back.
Ronan Vega turned around and looked at him before trying to move away from Elijah as well. As soon as he moved, Elijah spoke up. “What did you do today on Blue Bridge?”
Ronan Vega quickly shook his head. “I didn’t do anything.”
“Think again.”
At this moment, Elijah appeared calm on the surface but that was only an illusion because deep down inside him anger boiled over like lava in a volcano waiting for its chance to erupt any second now.
“I really didn’t do anything,” said Ronan after thinking about it for a moment longer than necessary. “I went there just for fun but then I saw Miss Stone again whom I’ve been looking all over town for since last time we met there so how could I let her go…”
“So what did you do to her?” When Elijah asked this question with those deep black eyes flashing coldness like icebergs floating in Arctic waters.
Ronan Vega swallowed a mouthful of saliva and couldn’t figure out why he was angry.
“I wanted to do something with her but she’s not easy. You can see my arm,” said Ronan showing off some bite marks still visible even though they were starting heal slowly by now; Freya’s bites were no joke apparently.
“And my nose too. She hit me hard enough that blood flowed from my nostrils. I’ve been in pain for a long time, and I still want to ask you, where did you find that woman? She’s different. Speaking of which, I like her. ”
Elijah’s expression changed as he asked, “You like her?!”
