Chapter 953 Do Not Wait for Me
Freya couldn’t decide and turned her gaze to Elijah.
Kai was afraid Elijah wouldn’t go, so he slid off his chair and ran to him, pulling his sleeve, “Daddy, let’s go.”
Elijah looked at his son and pinched his cheek.
Kai grinned, “Daddy…”
“Okay.” Elijah ruffled his son’s hair. “I agree.”
Kai happily bounced around.
“Oh… oh…”
Kai joyfully danced around.
Sacha furrowed her brows, “Kai, are you too happy? Hurry up and eat.”
Kai blinked.
Freya waved at him, “Kai, come here.”
Kai walked over to Freya, and she lifted him up. “You’re getting heavier, I can barely hold you now.”
Kai blinked with his bright eyes, “Mom, am I getting fat?”
Freya pretended to inspect him, looking up and down, then earnestly commented, “It seems like you’ve gained some weight recently.”
Actually, Kai wasn’t fat.
His current weight was just right.
Not too fat, not too thin, with a face that looked just like Elijah’s.
Freya kissed her son on the cheek.
Kai’s face lit up with happiness.
“I want one too, I want one too.” Morton ran over eagerly and hugged her legs. “Mom…”
Sacha chuckled as she watched the scene, “Looks like you can only have one, having more will be a handful.”
Kai voluntarily gave up his mother’s embrace to his little brother, and he sat back in his own seat.
Freya held Morton.
Morton hugged her neck and planted a kiss on her cheek.
Even some drool dribbled out.
“Oh my…”
Sacha handed Freya a tissue, “Sister-in-law, your son’s drool smells good.”
Freya replied, “Yes, it does.”
She gently patted her son’s back, showing her motherly love.
Taking care of them since they were young, changing diapers, washing bottoms, she never minded.
A mother’s love is innate.
Sacha looked on with envy.
She rubbed her own belly, “I look forward to my baby’s birth.”
“Your baby will be born cute,” Freya said.
Sacha looked at Kai and Morton and sighed, “Kai and Morton both look so handsome.”
Because they both looked like Elijah.
Bright, sharp eyes, clear facial features, as if drawn with a pen.
Two boys, looking the same, naturally handsome.
She glanced at Evan and then took his arm, “If my baby looks like Evan, it won’t be ugly.”
…
On this side, they decided to go back to attend the wedding. After dinner, Freya began to pack, bringing along the two children required many things.Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
Elijah asked Xander to arrange the car and book the plane tickets.
Sacha also happily went back to pack her luggage.
Evan held her from behind, caressing her belly, “You’re about to become a mother, yet you’re still acting like a child?”
Sacha turned her head and kissed him, “Once I have the baby, you’ll have two children, and you’ll treat me like a child.”
“Naughty,” Evan chuckled. “Sacha, we must be good, you need to be good, and our child needs to be good.”
He looked down at Sacha’s belly.
“I’m looking forward to the birth of our child,” he said with anticipation in his eyes.
Sacha smiled, “I am too.”
Looking forward to their life as a family of three.
That’s when they will be complete.
“Evan, do you like boys or girls?” she asked.
“Didn’t you already ask that?” Evan replied.
Sacha forgot. “When did I ask?”
“I guess pregnancy makes you forgetful,” Evan teased, caressing her cheek. “I’ve said before, I’ll love the baby whether it’s a boy or a girl.”
Sacha looked up at him. “When our baby arrives, will you still love me like this?”
“Of course,” he booped her nose. “Don’t overthink it.”
Sacha nodded. “Let’s not dwell on it, just hurry up and pack.”
“Are you envious of attending someone else’s wedding?” Evan joked. “Making it seem like you’re getting married yourself.”
“I just felt stifled and needed some fresh air,” Sacha explained.
She was really feeling suffocated.
Hence, she really wanted to get out.
“Got it.”
…
Back in the country.
Orion received the news and knew they were all coming back, with two children. Arrangements had to be made for accommodation, as they needed a place to stay when they returned.
He had to personally select the place.
After all, Elijah and Freya were no strangers, and with two children coming, he had to take it seriously.
Setting his phone down, he pondered.
Luna had put the stars to sleep and saw Orion lost in thought when she entered the room. “Orion.”
“Hmm?” Orion snapped out of his thoughts and looked towards the door.
Luna approached him, “What are you thinking about?”
Orion smiled, “Would you be happy if I told you?”
Luna immediately guessed, “Freya is coming back?”
“Guess again.”
Luna pondered, “Is their whole family coming back?”
Considering her relationship with Freya, her return was expected.
As for two children and Elijah coming back, it was more than she had anticipated.
Orion grinned, “Almost, and Evan and Xander are coming too.”
He was very happy as these people had a good relationship with him.
He pulled Luna to sit on his lap.
Luna felt awkward and stiff, keeping her head down.
Orion played with her hair, “With your wedding and their return, everything feels more solemn.”
“Luna.”
He caressed Luna’s arm, “Luna, being with you, I am truly happy.”
Luna lowered her head. “Yeah, I’m happy too. I’ll work hard.”
“This is already good.” Orion was satisfied.
A lover, children…
Isn’t happiness just that?
Having loved ones around.
Someone waiting after work, someone caring when sick, someone accompanying during ordinary times…
Life is short, so cherish what’s before you.
Luna said, “It’s getting late. I’ll take a shower.”
She got up.
She had already been trying very hard. Body contact was still somewhat uncomfortable due to past trauma, but she wouldn’t react too harshly. Orion’s tenderness and patience had soothed a lot of her inner wounds and fears.
“I have to go out and find a place for them to stay when they return. Elijah likes quiet places, so I have to go personally.”
Luna nodded, “Okay, you go.”
“Oh, and we have to go out tomorrow. You should go to bed early and not wait for me.” Orion got up.
