You Are My One and Only

Chapter 274

Chapter 274

Soon, they entered the office together. Patricia stopped caring about what others thought about her or her relationship with Isaac. At any rate, she was used to hearing rumors about her.

Meanwhile, Isaac started getting busy the moment he entered the office. After receiving several calls, he headed to the meeting room.

They had breakfast on the way to the company. Patricia felt that there was only a short moment when he belonged to her.

With her chin resting on her palm, she looked at the empty desk and realized that the man was usually busy. She let out a sigh and started doing the day's work. In fact, her job was pretty easy. This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

At about 10.00AM, Isaac still hadn't returned. She went to the pantry and prepared a cup of coffee for herself. Then, she took a seat by the window and sipped on her drink.

She initially wanted to give Josephine a call and ask whether the people from the moving company had arrived. They were ready to bring their stuff to the new home.

However, she received a call from Courtney all of a sudden. She pressed her lips together and connected the call. "Hello?"

Courtney had called her the other night and given her a warning.

Nevertheless, Zachary didn't seem to mind others finding out about their relationship as of late. He would take the initiative to look for her, and he even brought the topic up at home.

"Can we meet up, Patricia?"

Patricia took a look at the time and replied, "I'm working now, so I'm afraid I can't meet up with you."

In fact, she didn't want to see Courtney, for the latter was always harsh to her whenever they met. On the other hand, she was unable to refute her, so it was truly vexing.

Courtney sneered. "Are you afraid of meeting me? Where's your company? I'll go over and apply for leave on your behalf."

It seems that she's determined to see me today. Patricia frowned. "Where are you, Madam Selwyn? I'll go over."

"That's more like it. I'm at Cornerstone Cafe. I won't leave until you come." She directly hung up the call after she finished speaking.

Patricia sent Isaac a message. 'Can I leave the company for a while, President Arnold? There's something I need to deal with.'

Then, she returned to the office and packed up her stuff before leaving the company in a hurry.

Thirty minutes later, she arrived at Cornerstone Cafe. When she pushed the door open, she saw Courtney sitting by the window, clad in a fur coat. Courtney lifted her hand and motioned for her to

come over.

Patricia went over and took a seat across from the woman.

"Would you like anything to drink?"

Patricia took a look at the glass of water in front of her and replied, "There's no need for that. Water will do."

Courtney stopped talking as she elegantly lifted her cup of coffee and took a sip. She had taken good care of her skin, so there were no wrinkles on her face. There was no denying she looked much younger than people her age.

When she put down the coffee, she ran her fingers across her other hand. Although there were several rings on her fingers, they didn't feel tacky. Instead, they made her look like a noble lady.

"Zach told us that he's going to marry you, Patricia. However, we're not happy with this marriage. How much money do you want so that you'll leave my son?" She fished out a checkbook and a pen. "Come up with a number, or you can fill in the blank yourself." She pulled a check off the book and pushed it forward.

Looking at the check, Patricia put on a faint smile. "I've told you before that Zachary and I are just friends, Madam Selwyn. I've never thought about marrying him, so I don't want your money."

She pushed the check back to Courtney, whose face fell.

"I know you're a capable person, Patricia. You've managed to make Isaac fall head over heels for you,

so it's no wonder Zach can never forget about you. Since you're with Isaac now, please let Zach go."

A heart-wrenching feeling flooded through Patricia when she heard that. It was awfully painful that she was being misunderstood. "You're right, Madam Selwyn. I'm with Isaac, and he's the man I want to marry. Please don't worry about it and keep the money for Zachary's future wife."

Somewhere else, Angie snapped a photo of them and sent it to Gwen. 'Patricia admitted that she's together with Isaac. It seems that it's over between Addy and him.'
