Chapter 269 : Mistress Affair
Chapter 269 : Mistress Affair
“Stay away from Bill Sky my baby. As far as you can. He will not do any good to you.” Her dad said with
full of worries in his expression.
“Ha! Ha! Ha!” Arabella couldn’t help but laugh bitterly.
She felt all her life, she was running away from Bill Sky.
It was her greatest dream.
Running freely.
Away from the man who she hated the most.
Away from the monster, Bill Sky.
Why she was laughing right now was merely the current situation she was into.
She was expecting so much from her dad.
She thought that they would be together again.
He appeared to protect her.
The man who could protect her is back but seemed it was just all her imagination.
He had another priority.
The way she saw things, her father came back not for her.
He just warned her but he would not stay in her life.
“Dad, well I thought, you came back for me.” She uttered holding her tears and annoyance towards
him.
That feeling of competing with someone for her dad’s love knocked her off.
It was really obvious that his dad would choose to protect her mistress over her.
“Arabella, baby… I’m so sorry. I just came to see you personally and warn you about Bill Sky. For now,
that’s the only thing I can do for you.” She didn’t know why but her dad’s voice pained her. Her tears
started to pour again but she tried her best not to cry for him anymore.
“Dad… I’m your daughter. Sen. Meyer will kill me if I can’t bring back his wife to her. How can you let it
happen to me? So, you mean to say, you are just gonna abandon me because of your mistress?” She
wasn’t ready for his answer but she had to ask anyway as she was trying to understand the situation
but she just couldn’t.
There’s no way she could understand her awful father.
She clenched her lips tight trying her best not to break down.
“I’m sorry… I will solve this. Just hide where you can hide safely. Jayson… Jayson Hansen will surely
help you. You know Jayson loves you. He will never leave you.” Her dad nodded repeatedly agreeing
with his own words.
“For God’s sake! Jayson is already married dad!” She couldn’t help but yell angrily.
She was not just pissed with his words but his attitude toward the situation.
She still couldn’t believe how her dad became so irresponsible.
A coward.
A terrible father.
“Listen, Arabella, Jayson confessed to me that he still loves you. He could not forget you baby. Jayson
is a good match for you.” Her father added with an expression who was trying his best to convince her
but no!
She could not stand her father’s reasoning anymore.
He was hopeless.
“Dad. I’m not gonna be like you! I will never snatch someone’s husband! You know what? When I first
saw you again, I regretted that I rudely treated you but now I realized, that’s fine. You deserved it! You
are not the dad I once knew. You deceived us by faking your death.” She chuckled softly mocking him.
“I wished not to see you again. For me, you are already dead.” Arabella could feel her heart clenched
hard.
She wiped her tears trying not to shed a single tear again for him.
It was not what she imagined for their meet-up.
A daughter who longed so much for her father but her father had the opposite feeling towards her.
Before her tears would pour again, she opted to turn around and stormed away.
She was still in awe.
She felt great disappointment and sadness that interfered with her heart.
She stopped walking on the sidewalk trying to stabilize herself.
Inhaled… Exhaled… Inhaled… Exhaled…
She let out all her tears.
She had to cry.
She needed to cry badly.
She hugged her knees on the ground and cried in silence.
“I’m giving you 3 days to bring back my wife.”
Then Sen. Meyer’s words suddenly flashed across her mind.
She jolted.
Bursting with nervousness, she quickly pulled herself together.
She could not die because of her father’s affair.
He had already chosen his mistress over her so she had to do something to save her life.
She had refused to die so many times and she could not let only Sen. Meyer would end her life
because of her father.
Her terrible father.
Thinking about him, she irked too much.
Too much that she couldn’t bear.
She hated him so much more.
He let his family down.
He ruined his family because of his affair with another woman.
He hated him that until now, he still chose his woman over her.
He enjoyed being with his mistress the whole time while they suffered.
Her mom lived in misery because of him.
How could she remain a good daughter to him?
He didn’t deserve her.
He didn’t deserve her as his daughter.
She clenched her fists and stood still.
When she saw her father entering a cab, she quickly hailed her own cab and then simply followed him.
They traveled for 1 hr. before her dad’s cab stopped in a remote area.
She asked the cab to wait for her.
She sneaked out and saw Alicia Meyer was waiting outside him.
They hugged each other.
The scene was too absurd for her to see.
Incensed with her mother’s memory, she could not feel any happiness for her dad and Alicia.
When her dad entered their house, Alicia stayed on the balcony.
She was wearing gloves and holding a gardening scissor.
She seemed to cultivate her plants on the balcony before her dad came.
“Alicia Meyer.” Holding her anger, she went out to face the mistress of her dad.
She could see the extreme shock on Alicia’s face.
She froze for a while. Alicia didn’t know how to react and treat her.
She seemed to decipher why Arabella was there and how she found them.
“Why are you shocked?” Arabella rolled her eyes.
She couldn’t help but be so arrogant towards her.
They had met before but she felt so different seeing her again as her father’s mistress.
“Arabella… welcome to our little house.” Finally, Alicia was backed to her senses.
She spoke softly and politely very far from Trishia’s trait.
“Look. I don’t have time and I don’t need your greeting. You have to come with me.” She stood very
firm.
She was rude but she didn’t care.
She only had one thing in her mind that is to bring Alicia back to Sen. Meyer.
“Why? Are you, okay? You want to go inside and have some snacks?” Puzzled and worried, Alicia
sounded.
“No!” She roared. She was very irked with her kindness. “Stop being polite to me. I don’t need that! For
your information, your husband is waiting for you. If you really want to show me your kindness, go with
me and go back to your husband and you will save my life!” She could feel her eyes turn moist but she
would never allow tears to come out for her dad’s mistress.
Hearing her, Alicia was taken aback.
She could not say anything and her eyes were on the ground.
She seemed caught in her deep thinking.
“Arabella… I can’t go back. He will kill me.” After a while, Alicia uttered softly.
Her eyes were scared.
“Ha!ha!ha!” Arabella laughed bitterly.
She didn’t know but she found her making lame excuses.
Alicia wanted to save her life in exchange for hers.
How selfish!
Why does she have to give her life for their affair?
She found it bullsh*t.
She had her own problems and it made her mad just to think about how to solve them all and now her
life was in danger because of Alicia and her dad.
Great!
Really great!
She just hoped everything was all jokes.
“You and Dad are the same,” Arabella uttered shaking her head. “Bravo! You too are a great match!
You are both selfish!” She added laughing at her mockingly. “But… you have to go with me!” Arabella
had no time to waste.
She quickly grabbed Alicia's arm and dragged her forcefully.
She would not miss the chance to get her and bring her back to her husband.
She was on the edge and she had no choice but to survive Sen. Meyer’s threat.
“Arabella! Let go!” While she was dragging Alicia to her cab, her father stormed toward them. He
roared angrily.
She stopped but she didn’t let go of Alicia from her grip.
She turned around to face her dad for the last time.
Extreme anger and disappointments were in her eyes while looking at her dad.
Her eyes were cursing him.
“Pakkk!” In a swift, a loud cracking sound was heard.
His dad slapped her in front of his mistress.
Then he pulled Alicia away from her.
Arabella felt a burning sensation on her cheek but the most pained was her heart.
She could not believe that her dad slapped her.
After he hid from them to be with his mistress for so many years, he suddenly appeared like a ghost, he
abandoned her again earlier and now she got a slap from him.
All because of his woman.
All because of his mistress.
Arabella felt all the pain.
She wanted to feel every pain in her body so she could not forget the moment in how she was treated
unfairly by her father.
She clenched her fists hard while controlling her tears not to drip down.
At this time, she swore that she would never cry for her father anymore.
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry baby.” Her dad uttered full of guilt. He strode forward to appease her.
“Stop! Don’t touch me! Don’t you ever touch me! I hate you! I am disgusted to see you again! I hope
you are the one who died not mom! I hate you!” She roared taking a step back.
“You! Do you think you win? I don’t care about you! You will see… “Irking too much, she pointed to
Alicia then after her words, she ran away full of hatred in her heart.
Arabella went back to her apartment.
She tried cooling down herself.
Holding her phone, she was listening to the tick-tock sound of her wall clock.
The night was cold and she was surrounded by a deafening silence.
She stared at her phone.
She breathed heavily.
She browsed her contact list on her phone.
Sen. Meyer.
Her eyes stared at the call icon.
She heaved another heavy sigh then she put her head on the headrest of the couch.
Then she closed her eyes. She was shaking her knees absentmindedly.
If she failed to get Alicia today and her father hindered her to save her life over his woman, then she
was left with no choice.
She would report their place to Sen. Meyer but why did she feel unhappy with what she was about to
do.
Her guilt was bugging her.
She was treated unfairly but she could not get any satisfaction just thinking of revenging them.
After heaving another deep sigh, she threw her phone away.
She could not do it.
She hated herself to be so good to people who didn’t deserve her kindness.
What is she going to do now?
Is she going to hide again?Content bel0ngs to Nôvel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
She felt very tired from the day’s event and just thinking about hiding again she felt very exhausted.
She could not hide.
She could not run away.
Not without Adam.
Not without her son.
After a while, her phone rang. She quickly crawled towards her phone that she had just thrown.
It was a call from an unknown number.
‘Not again!’
She muttered in the air thinking the call was from her dad, Alicia, or Sen. Meyer’s other number.
She just wanted to rest and get over everything.
She was very exhausted.
Her heart was still aching because of her father.
He appeared again and simply broke her heart.
“Who’s this?” She didn’t want to answer but she could not contain her curiosity.
She had to find out the problem so she could plan a solution ahead of time.
“I have your father.” The voice brought her goosebumps.
Sen. Meyer was on the other line. “Thanks to you. I got them. Hahaha!” With a devilish tone, Sen.
Meyer chuckled.
Arabella was clearly hearing him but she couldn’t react.
It seemed Sen. Meyer just used her to trace her father.
She felt instantly guilty.
Why does she feel this way?
She hated him so much but when she heard Sen. Meyer's news, she got very worried.
She feared for her father’s life.
She hated her heart to feel this way but she couldn’t control it.
“Sen. Meyer… You just trick me. Okay! So, you have them! Congratulations! I’m happy for you! Suit
yourself and leave me alone.” She had to think smarter than him though inside she was dying of
worries for her dad’s life.
Sen. Meyer was a hoodlum.
He would not hesitate to kill the man who snatched his wife.
“Oh… no! I know you are smart Arabella but tell you what… I am smarter than you. I know you are
giggling to save your father’s life right now.” Sen. Meyer’s voice was calm like he had read her mind.
“Here’s the thing, you have to do something for me in exchange for your father’s life.” Obviously, it’s
another blackmail.
“What do you want?” She could already sense danger in their conversation.
Does she really want to save her father’s life after he abandoned her?
He gave nothing but pain for them but her heart was saying yes.
“I want you to convince Bill Sky to support me in this coming election. I want his money. With his
money, I can surely win.”
“That’s impossible!” She quickly refuted.
“Yes, you can. You can do it for your father. You will pay for what he owes me!”
