Chapter 315
Chapter 315
Arya walked to them.
It was Ryan who saw her first. He ran towards her with the bubble pot in his hands. "Mommy..."
Nanny Joy heard the voice and looked up, only to find Arya standing not far from her.
She quickly grabbed Ryan, afraid that he would bump into his mother. "Slow down. Don't hurry."
"I know. Don't grab me." Ryan was unhappy for he was suddenly grabbed. Children liked to run and
jump, after all.
"OK, but don't run."
Arya came to him and rubbed Ryan's hair. "Now you get a temper?"
Ryan pursed his lips and looked up at her. "Why did you take me away last night?"
Last night, both Ryan and Arya fell asleep when Xavier took Ryan away, and Arya had no idea about it.
Nanny Joy explained for Arya, "Your father brought you here because he was afraid that you would kick
your mommy's belly in your dream. You don't want any accident, did you?"
Ryan blinked. 'Is that real?'
He had been in a bad mood since this morning and said nothing when he saw his father.
"Then I'll go play." Ryan went away trippingly.
Arya frowned.
"Are you Ryan's mother?" Georgina came over to her.
Arya looked at her. It seemed that she had met her before, but she couldn't remember where they met.
"We met once in the hospital. You don't remember, right?" Georgina smiled and pointed at Easton, who
was playing with Ryan. "That's my son."
Arya looked at her son. She only passed by Georgina once, so she couldn't recall it until Georgina
mentioned it.
Georgina looked at her belly and asked with a smile, "The baby is about to be born, right?"
"Two months left," Arya answered with a smile. Then she asked, "You live nearby?"
Georgina was stunned for a moment. All she knew was that Xavier lived in a hotel, but had no idea
what community was around. "Nope."
Arya's smile faded slightly. Georgina was definitely at a loss as if she didn't know how to answer.
There was a community nearby. She could have known it if she lived nearby.
"My name is Georgina, and that's my son Jimmy." Georgina introduced and looked at the two boys
playing together. "Look at them. How intimate they are."
Arya smiled out of courtesy but said nothing more.
"Ryan is going to have a brother or sister. But Jimmy would still be alone." Georgina's sight passed
over the two children and looked somewhere emotionally and in a loss.
Arya glanced at her but quickly withdrew her gaze. "He could have had one."
She meant nothing beyond her words.
Georgina smiled with sweet eyes. She looks very gentle, which makes people ignore her scheming
mind. Only those who knew her well knew that she was calculating.
She was not as naive as she seemed to like.
"I may divorce..."
She was bound to divorce Rufus if the Gates Family collapsed to protect herself as well as the Taylor
Family, and realized her unfulfilled wish.
"I'm sorry, I..."
"It's okay. It's not your fault." Georgina smiled, showing no sadness about it. "It's a pity to bid farewell to Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
a good marriage; but if it has been wrong since the beginning, a divorce would be a relief."
Arya nodded in agreement.
"I heard you live nearby. Can I visit your house?" Georgina suddenly changed the subject and said with
a smile, "Is it too abrupt..."
"My home is too crowded for a guest," Arya politely refused. She looked at Nanny Joy. "It's time for
Ryan to take a nap. Let's go home."
Nanny Joy nodded and picked Ryan up.
Georgina frowned. She didn't expect Arya to refuse, whom she regarded as an easy-going woman.
In order to get closer to her, she brought Easton here to play with Ryan.
"We have to leave," Arya said.
"Goodbye," Georgina said with a smile.
Ryan held Arya's hand and asked, "Mommy, why do we have to go back that early?"
"No reason," Arya said seriously.
Arya rarely spoke to Ryan like this. Seeing that Arya was so serious, Ryan behaved himself and went
back home holding her hand.
After they got home, Ryan played with toys in the room. Nanny Joy brought him fruit slices, then sat on
the sofa in the living room, and asked with hesitation, "Did I do something wrong?"
Ryan's napping time was an excuse. It seemed that Arya didn't want to stay there any longer.
She thought she might have done something wrong.
Arya shook her head. "No, I just think..."
She felt that it was Georgina that found her on purpose, but she couldn't explain exactly how she
noticed it.
"What do you think?" Nanny Joy didn't understand.
"Did you tell her Ryan's name?" She looked at Nanny Joy.
Nanny Joy remembered that she took him to the park, and not long after that, Georgina came and sat
next to her. At that time, Easton was injured and there were suds on his wound, so Georgina asked her
for tissue. It was then that they began to talk, but it seemed that Ryan's name was not mentioned.
Nanny Joy shook her head. "No... I'm sure I didn't."
Arya pursed her lips. "But she knows Ryan."
Nanny Joy was so shocked and stood up. "What?"
She couldn't believe it. "Is she a human trafficker? She talked to me for Ryan, isn't it?"
Arya comforted her. "I don't think so."
She didn't expect Nanny Joy to overresponse.
Nanny Joy was still angry about it. "Who would write 'I'm a human trafficker' on his face?"
Nanny Joy pointed at her face as she said that. She hated those kidnappers, for she felt heartbroken
as she looked at the crying parents that lost their children on TV.
"Thank god you went to find us, otherwise... I can't imagine how bad things will be." Nanny Joy was
frightened.
Arya said, "You're too sensitive."
"No, it can't be too careful. I dare not to get so close to strangers in the future. Do you know, traffickers
are mostly female now. Look at those traffickers who have been caught. They seem like normal people.
Who knows they are criminals if they're not caught?"
Arya didn't know how to reply. Nanny Joy was frightened by the news on TV.
She poured her a glass of water. "Calm down."
Nanny Joy took the glass and smiled. "Did I overreact just now?"
Arya smiled and said, "No."
A buzzing sound came.
The doorbell rang. Nanny Joy put down the glass and stood up. "I'll go open the door."
It was a mailman. He looked at Nanny Joy and asked, "Does Arya live here?"
Nanny Joy nodded, "Yes."
"Then please ask her to sign it."
Nanny Joy looked at Arya. "Your mail."
Arya came and got the mail. There was no address or the sender's name on it.
"Do you know who sent it?" As far as she knew, she had no mail to receive.
The mailman said, "I don't know. It's not my job. I'm just a sender. If possible, please sign it now. I have
to run errands."
Arya took the pen and signed it.
She walked into the room and tore open the envelope...
