A Deal With The Millionaire

Chapter 75

Brielle pulled away from the hug and wiped her tears slowly. ” I’m sorry ” Shane muttered and Brielle let out a sad smile. ” It’s fine ” She muttered sadly.

Shane sighed and ruffled his hair slowly. ” We should continue with our work right? ” Brielle said, clearing the intense atmosphere.

” Yeah ” Shane nodded and watched as Brielle walked back to the couch. It was obvious she wasn’t okay. Shane let out a sad sigh. This was all he had been trying to avoid. How he would handle Brielle and not toy with her emotions if he would choose Layla over her but now he’s hurting her emotions.

And now he partially lost Layla already. And he doesn’t even feel a thing for Brielle anymore, the only person his heart is beating for at the moment is Layla and now they broke up already. He sighed for the umpteenth time.Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

He got up from his seat and walked over to Brielle who sobbed silently. He sat beside her and held her hands into his palms. ” Brielle.. I… I really didn’t mean to do this to you… I just.. it just happened I’m really sorry if I hurt your emotions ” He said sadly and Brielle forced a sad smile but one could vividly see it’s a sad one.

” It’s fine. I guess we weren’t really meant to be together anyways ” She said and Shane inhaled softly. ” So what do we do now? ” Shane asked the next thing that came to his head.

” Well… Get Layla to understand that I would be giving up on you and she can have you instead while I leave… we cancel the wedding contract ” She muttered.

” But what about you? Where would you go to? ”

” Well, I would go work more harder for my parents and I also have a company to take care of ” She said as she got up on her feet. Shane raised his brows.

” Where are you going? ” He asked. ” I should go prepare something for us at home. You can have your time with Layla ‘ She muttered as she made her way out of Shane’s office. ” Brielle… ” Shane called and she stopped on her tracks.

She turned to him slowly. ” Thanks ” He muttered and she let out a little smile. ” It’s what I should have done ever since I got back and found out you had someone else you love. I should have done that a very long time ” She muttered.

” I’m sorry once again ” She said and made her way out of the office, out of Shane’s office. She closed the door gently and bent hurtfully on the floor with her hand on her chest as she held it tightly like it was aching her so bad.

She cried hurtfully as she felt her heart shattering. She had to give up the man she loved so much. He was the very first man she would ever love so much.

When she was a teen, she never had a boyfriend as she had no interest in boys and her parents thought she might never get married. That was why they had planned a wedding contract with her with Shane. When she heard about it, she had refused it at first but later accepted since it would favor her parent’s company so much.

That had always been her zeal, her parent’s company and her company. Her business life was all that had always mattered to her. She and Shane decided to date for a while and she found herself falling for this precious man then, he was so perfect and sweet.

She had informed her parents that they could go on with the contract and it was the same with Shane. He was so in love with her and would tell that to her hearing every minute how much he loved her.

Tho she hadn’t really been the perfect girlfriend. She was always skipping dates for works and he was always complaining but despite that, he still kept reminding her of how much he loved her no matter what and that was what pushed her into this.

She had thought he would wait for her no matter how long she stayed, but she had been proved wrong and she can’t help but blame herself over and over again.

It’s not Shane’s fault for not waiting for her, it’s her carelessness and selfless attitude of hers.

She wiped her tears when she noticed some workers had been staring at her. She walked straight to the elevator and with the elevator closed, she sat down on the bare floor and let out the tears the more.

** Shane’s Private Mansion **

He had tried talking to Layla as planned but she had come earlier that day to inform him she wasn’t feeling well. He knew it was as a result of their separation and he had tried to ask her if she was okay or tell her about Brielle giving up but she gave no space for talks at all.

He thought about letting her be for that moment and he allowed her take the rest of the day off. Worriedly, after work he had payed her a visit at her apartment but she didn’t attend to her. Mirah only came to tell him she was asleep.

He’s out of ideas on how to sit her down and explain things to her as she wouldn’t even give him space to talk.

” I’m tired seriously. She’s making it all hard ” Shane muttered sadly. ” You should just give her more time. I’m damn sure she’s gonna realize soon that she really can’t go on with the separation of you two. It’s obvious she wouldn’t be able to keep up for so long ” Alec said and he raised his brows.

” Really?” Shane asked for confirmation and Alec nodded in assurance. Shane sighed hopefully. ” I hope so. I really hope so ” He muttered silently.

** The Girl’s Apartment **

” See Layla. I’m fvcking tired of all these!! What the hell is wrong with you? Here you are crying and running a temperature after you did your wish! What the hell is wrong with you? Shane isn’t complaining, he told he was gonna find a solution and everything would be sorted out but you.. ” She placed her head on her palm like she was developing a headache.

” You clearly started the separation and I can see him still trying to get you back, ringing it to your ears that he loves you and would go any length to get you and you don’t have to worry about no Brielle… He was going to sort it out himself! So why the hell are you doing this to yourself!? Why?? You’re in love with this guy, you’re stuck and there’s no thing you could do to this so please stop. Please!! You’re hurting yourself!! ” Mirah cautioned while Layla only shed more tears.

” Gosh ” Mirah ruffled her hair in frustration. ” You’re giving me more headache, more fvcking headache!! ” She groaned as she landed on the couch beside Layla who kept pouring out the tears.

” It’s not my fault. I just want what’s best for him .. I love him so much and.. I just.. I just want him to be okay.. ” She stuttered in tears. Mirah let out a scoff.

” So tell me… You think you staying away from him is the best for him! Huh? He’s in love with you. You’re only hurting his feelings, you’re doing him no good. You’re only hurting him, you’re breaking him Layla. The same way you’re hurting and breaking yourself ” Mirah said.

” But.. ”

” You have no buts baby. Sooner or later, Brielle would give up. She will when she finds out Shane has no love left for her and is madly in love with you. She will when she has no choice and you once told me Shane’s mom likes you and supports your relationship with Shane. Come on what else do you need as an assurance? What else Layla? ” Mirah groaned frustratedly.

” I don’t know what to do ” Layla muttered tiredly. ” Just get back together with him. Tell him you were not in your right mind when you made that decision and I’m damn sure he would accept you back without thinking. Who knows,, you two might finally start dating. And maybe Brielle would give up when she finds out you two can’t be separated. Come on.. ” Mirah urged more like a plead.

Layla let out a disturbing sigh. ” I don’t know ” She muttered as she looked elsewhere. Mirah let out an unbelievably scoff. ” Seems you aren’t ready to listen. But I’m gonna tell you one fvcking truth. It does get hard for people to lose feelings for someone and at the same time it might not be that hard… ” She trailed off and glanced at Layla who was now facing her with an inquisitive look.

” Who knows,, Shane might lose feelings for you and fall for Brielle again and their wedding contract would go on without no obstruction from even you.. ” She said and Layla’s eyes widened.
