At night, Theodore came back looking disheveled and not in good shape.

Rosalie immediately welcomed him home with Steve in her arms. "Theo, where were you?"

"Dada," Steve said as he stretched his arms toward Theodore, demanding a hug.

Rosalie put Steve in Theodore's arms. "Carry him. He misses you and has been asking for you these few days."

Theodore's heart melted as he carried Steve in his arms. He felt so fortunate to come home to his child and Rosalie and yearned for nothing more.

However, the past continued haunting him, disturbing his peace and becoming a hurdle he could not cross.

"Did Sebastian give him his name?"

Rosalie was stunned for a moment before admitting honestly, "Yes. I didn't know his true colors then. At that time, he was always by my side, helping me out."

She added, "If you don't like this name, give the child another name. He doesn't need to be called Steve. Go ahead and give him another name." "Sebastian was indeed by your side at that time, and he did many things for me. Even though he wanted to kill me, he was genuine to you," Theodore said.

He didn't push for a change in Steve's name.

Rosalie knew that Theodore didn't feel good talking about Sebastian, so she changed the subject. "Theo, let's head in for dinner. You haven't eaten, have you?"

Seeing the fatigue etched on his face, Rosalie guessed he hadn't eaten yet.

Theodore didn't have much appetite, but he nodded anyway, not wanting her to worry about him. "Okay."

He carried Steve in his arms as the three of them headed in.

Over dinner, Rosalie said, "Oh yes, Theo. I found a job and I'll start tomorrow as a financial analyst."

Theodore put his spoon down. "Why don't you work in SK Enterprise? You can have your pick of roles. It's tough being a financial analyst, with loads of data and information to look through and articles to write."

"I don't find it tough. What's more, I need to start planning for my future. I want to do something based on my own merit. I hope to have your support." Theodore eventually nodded. "Alright, then. You can always come back anytime if you find it tiring."

"Got it."

Now that Theodore was back, Rosalie could finally heave a sigh of relief.

She had a lightbulb moment that day at the restaurant and wanted to run her idea through Theodore. However, at the sight of how tired Theodore was, she decided to wait a little longer till he recovered before she broached the subject.

She wanted his opinion as he was definitely more experienced in this area than she was. For all she knew, he might be able to give her some inspiration.

After dinner, Theodore returned to his room.

Rosalie deliberately left Steve with Theodore so that they could sleep together. She thought that having Steve by his side might improve his mood.

Theodore didn't reject her.

After taking a shower, Rosalie lay on the bed and flipped through 'Brook Street'.

This book thoroughly exposed the sinful human nature, and that wickedness in the book didn't involve murder or arson, but a collective destruction of individuals in the name of morality.

Perhaps due to the heavy nature of the content, Rosalie put the book aside after around twenty minutes, massaging her temples as she did so.

She wanted to write a book too, but it would be finance-related. That was the inspiration that struck her today.

Rosalie picked up her phone and searched for finance books online in hopes of finding inspiration.

After searching through the inte,

she couldn't find the kind of literature she was looking for. There was no similar content she could find as reference, perhaps because her idea was too unique.

As the minutes ticked by, she found herself scrolling through videos.
