Chapter 1344
At night, Rosalie and Theodore headed out for dinner.
They didn't take Steve along with them. Theodore wanted to enjoy the date with just the two of them.
Rosalie couldn't bear to reject him.
Their relationship had been utterly ruined and they barely managed to resolve the misunderstandings. The dust had finally settled around them, and she didn't want to sour the mood again.
They were Steve's parents, and Steve naturally wouldn't want his parents to be at loggerheads with each other. They might be divorced, but they could still live in peace and that would only be beneficial for Steve's growth.
Theodore booked a restaurant where they shared a romantic meal before heading to the cinema.
Theodore bought tickets to a romance movie. It was a very touching story and many ladies were reduced to tears by the time the credits were rolling. Rosalie, however, couldn't bring herself to cry. Perhaps because she was all out of tears from what happened in real life and she felt numb when she saw the story unfolding onscreen.
Theodore said nothing even after noticing Rosalie's muted response. The two of them walked out of the cinema hall.
"Rose, you didn't seem to have much of a reaction after watching that movie. Did you not enjoy it?"
"No," Rosalie clarified. "The movie was filmed pretty well, but it's just that I don't cry that easily."
She seldom cried while watching movies or dramas.
"Theo, when shall we head back?"
They had been out for quite some time and she was starting to miss Steve. She wondered if he was asleep yet and it was getting late.
Theodore stopped in his tracks. "Rose, let's walk around a bit more, shall we? There's no need to rush back home."
It was rare for him to come out with Rosalie alone; they had such a good time eating, shopping, and watching a movie. These were ordinary things that ordinary couples did, but they were such a luxury to Theodore.
He wanted to prolong the moment, even if it was just for another hour.
Rosalie nodded. "Alright, then."
She was already out with Theodore. A little longer hardly made any difference anyway.
After leaving the cinema hall, they spotted some neon lights outside.
The busy streets made Rosalie lament, "It's already so late, but there are still so many people out and about."
Theodore looked at the milling.
crowd and commented, "Some are running about, making a living for themselves, while others might just not want to go home."
Rosalie turned to look at Theodore. His side profile was mesmerizing in the dim lights, but they were no longer who they were before.
They began strolling aimlessly down the street. Just then, a girl with a basket on her arm passed them by.
"Sir, would you like to buy a flower?"
The girl looked expectantly at
Theodore, hoping that he would buy a flower for the lady next to him. She wasn't sure of their relationship and didn't dare to shoot her mouth off.

Theodore looked at the roses in her basket and pulled out his wallet. He took out a hundred-dollar bill and handed it to the girl. "I'll have one."
"One? Sir, I don't have enough change."
"It's fine, keep the change." Theodore picked a stalk of rose.
"Thank you, sir, miss. Have a great night."
The girl left happily with her basket in tow.
Theodore handed the rose to Rosalie.
Rosalie had wanted to stop Theodore from buying the rose, but she pitied the girl who had to sell flowers even in the deep of the night, so she ended up letting Theodore be so that the girl could earn some cash.

Rosalie took the rose from Theodore. "Thank you."
