Chasing My Pregnant Wife



Rosalie recalled the rose Theodore gave her this afternoon, which he claimed he bought from the streets.

A cold wind blew past, and she shivered slightly-it felt chilly. Theodore very chivalrously removed his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. "Theo, I'm fine. I'm not cold. You wear it." She was worried he might catch a cold instead.

"I'm fine." When Theodore draped the jacket back on her shoulders, he put his arm around her shoulders and left it there. The two of them looked very intimate.

Just then, Rosalie's phone rang. It broke the awkward moment that was brewing.

Rosalie gently nudged Theodore's arm away and picked up her phone. "Hello."

It was Justin calling. "Rose, it's me."

"Hey, Justin. What's up?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to call to ask if you're asleep."

"Not yet, I'm still out."

"Oh? Are you out alone?"

"No, I'm with Theo," Rosalie said frankly.

"Right," Justin said, not pursuing the matter. "I won't bother you two, then. I just wanted to check in on you, nothing else. I'll hang up then, bye."

Justin ended the call.

Rosalie said anxiously, "Wait."

"Anything else?" Justin asked.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Rosalie said, "Nothing. It's getting late, Justin. Turn in early."

Justin hummed in agreement and they ended the call.

"Justin called?" Theodore asked.

Rosalie nodded. "Theo, may I invite Justin to our place for dinner tomorrow?"

That was what she had wanted to ask Justin earlier, but since it was Theodore's house, she had to ask him for permission before she could invite Justin. She couldn't take the liberty of doing that without

considering Theodore's feelings.

Theodore could sense that that was what Rosalie wanted to ask Justin earlier. "You can just invite him. Why ask me?"

"It's your house, after all. I can't just randomly invite people."

"But it's also your house. Rose, half of everything I own belongs to you. There's no you and I between us. You're the mother of my son."

He wanted Rosalie to know that she could do anything she pleased around him, but he could sense her distancing herself from him and it made him

sad.

He was trying hard to hold her tight,

but he couldn't no matter how hard he tried. He could feel her heart floating away, and noticed the way her eyes changed when she picked up Justin's call just now.

"In that case, Theo, I'll invite Justin over tomorrow and we'll have a meal together. He's going back to Melrine soon."

"Is that so?" Theodore didn't know whether to feel happy or sad at the news. He could sense the deep disappointment in Rosalie's voice when she broke the news to him.

Rosalie nodded. "So I thought we should at least have a meal together before he leaves."

"Rose, do you feel uncomfortable coming out with me tonight?" Theodore suddenly asked.

He could sense it, but he wanted to continue living in this beautiful dream, stretching out their time alone together as much as he could.

"Not at all, Theo. I don't feel uncomfortable, it's just that..."

"Just that what?" He asked with a very serious look on his face.

"Theo, I came out with you and you might see this as a date, but it isn't to me. I know we're Steve's parents and we'll continue staying by his side not as husband and wife but rather as his mommy and
