His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 2922

Hayden set the glass down and expressed that he wanted to see the baby, so Layla told the servant to carry the baby outside.

The baby was in a deep sleep as an infant his age would spend most of his time sleeping or eating.

The servant presented the baby to Hayden and said, "Hayden, don't be mad at your dad just yet. The baby is still too tiny for his features to have developed, so one simply can't tell who he resembles!" The servant was worried that Hayden would see a resemblance between the baby and Elliot as well.

After caring for the baby the whole day, the servant realized that he did look like Elliot, but she dared not mention it.

Hayden glanced at the baby, and his first impression of the baby was that he was tiny and hideous-looking.

The child could possibly just be hideous, or it could be because his features had yet to develop.

Layla spotted the disgust on Hayden's face and explained, "The baby has really big eyes. They are just closed right now."

"What? Are you in love with him now?" Hayden mocked.

"Why would I like him? I don't even know whose baby this is. Dad has to be really careless to just let him in. What if the baby has some kind of deadly disease or carries explosives?" Hayden thought that Layla's words made sense.

"Layla, you are overthinking things. The baby looks healthy," Avery commented.

"I can't read his face. Besides, what if there were explosives tied to him?"

"That could be possible, but it's very unlikely because our country is very restrictive when it comes to explosives."

"There are people who can make explosives themselves."

"Yeah. That's why I said the possibility is low."

Hayden listened to their conversation and did not want to get involved, so he stood from the couch. "I will go eat something."

Judging from Avery's attitude, one could tell that she believed that Elliot was innocent, so all that was left was to wait for the paternity test results.

"Hayden, why don't you spend a few

more days here?" Layla followed Hayden into the dining room. "The

last time you were back was during

the summer holidays."Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

"New Year's is around the corner. I will focus on my work for now and come home for a longer break during New Year's." Hayden had his own plans.

"Why would you pack your schedule

up like that? Why don't I introduce a few girls to you over these next few days?" Ever since Layla found out that Hayden wanted a girlfriend, she had been looking out for women who would suit him.

"If you have too much time on your hands, you can work harder."

"Listen to yourself. You are stalling again. I thought you wanted a girlfriend? I've asked around and found out that everyone wants to be

my sister-in-law!" Layla Con

e "Don't you believe in me? If the paternity test results are negative, I can arrange for you to meet a girl. This girl is really great and is only two years younger than me—"

"Stop right there." Hayden had not returned home to be set up on a blind date. "I don't want a girlfriend anymore, so you can stop looking."

"Did something happen? Why did you stop wanting a girlfriend?"

Avery walked over and sat down next to Hayden to listen to their conversation.
