Chapter 835: I Will Be Good to You in the Future
After leaving the rehab center, Zane drove directly to the hospital.
"Your parents are also at the hospital. Let Phoebe take you there later," Zane said in a calm voice as he
got out of the car, addressing Antonio.
Upon hearing Zane's words, Antonio was momentarily taken aback. "My parents are at the hospital
too? Are they accompanying my sister?"
"Your father is hospitalized," Phoebe interjected, picking up Antonio's words. "Let me take you there."
After speaking, Phoebe glanced at Zane and whispered, "Brother, I'll come find you later."
Zane nodded and entered the hospital ahead of them.
Once Zane had left, Phoebe turned to Antonio. "Let's go."
Antonio nodded and followed Phoebe closely.
"Your father was stabbed when he was at the black market. If someone hadn't brought him to the
hospital, he might have died there," Phoebe explained Martin's situation to Antonio as they walked.
Upon hearing this, Antonio furrowed his brows.
"You should live a good life from now on and stay away from those things," Phoebe said softly.
Antonio acknowledged her with a sound.
Phoebe brought Antonio to the entrance of Martin's hospital room. "Go inside."
"Aren't you coming in too?"
"No, I'm going to find my brother and sister-in-law."
When Antonio heard Phoebe refer to Yanis as his sister-in-law, he was taken aback. "Have a lot of
things happened recently?"
In Antonio's memory, Phoebe had always disapproved of Yanis, and even back then, it was Phoebe
and Neve who had plotted against him. So, it was only natural for Antonio to be shocked when he
heard Phoebe address Yanis as her sister-in-law.
"You can ask your mom about it."
After saying that, Phoebe turned and walked away.
Antonio stood at the door, watching Phoebe walk away before he raised his hand to push open the
door and entered.
When Antonio entered, Martin and Olivia were eating.
It had been a long time since they had seen each other, and as Antonio looked at them, it seemed like
they had aged significantly, especially Martin, who appeared several years older.
"Mom, Dad," Antonio stood by for a while before finally calling out.
Upon hearing Antonio's voice, both Olivia and Martin turned around almost simultaneously to look at
Antonio standing behind them.
When Olivia saw Antonio, she immediately set down her utensils and quickly stood up.
"Antonio?" Olivia's voice trembled as she called out, her voice choked with emotion.
Antonio responded and approached, reaching out to hug Olivia. "Mom, I'm back."
Olivia started crying instantly, raising her hand to tightly embrace Antonio for a while before letting go.
She looked at Antonio and asked, "How did you come back? Why didn't you call us? I could have gone
to pick you up."
Antonio softly replied, "My brother-in-law picked me up."
Upon hearing Antonio's words, both Olivia and Martin flashed expressions of shock.
Martin inquired, "Zane picked you up?"
Antonio nodded. "Yes."
Olivia exchanged a glance with Martin, and a hint of complex emotions flickered in their eyes.
But it was just a fleeting moment. Olivia raised her hand and lightly patted Antonio's shoulder. "Go and
check on your sister later."
Antonio nodded and then turned to Olivia and Martin, asking, "Mom, Dad, did anything happen while I
was inside?"
Olivia sighed. "We'll talk about it later. Your sister's room is in 809. Go and see her. We won't go."
Antonio hesitated for a moment before uttering an acknowledgment. "Then I'll go and say hello first."
Olivia nodded. "Go ahead, remember to apologize to your sister and say thank you."
Antonio replied and then turned and left the room.
Inside Yanis's room:
Ivan was still there, but it was unexpected that Phoebe would come. They had agreed to be friends in
M Country, so their meeting didn't feel as uncomfortable as before.
"I'll handle the discharge procedures," Zane said in a low voice after inquiring about Yanis's condition.
Phoebe promptly stood up. "Brother, you stay with sister-in-law. I'll go with Ivan."
After saying that, Phoebe looked at Ivan. "Ivan?"
Ivan stood up. "Let's go."
After Ivan and Phoebe left, Zane looked at Yanis and asked, "Did you talk?"
Yanis nodded. "We'll just get along like we did before. We don't want to bring up any other issues."
"That's good," Zane said and then looked at Yanis. "Just now, Phoebe and I brought Antonio out from
inside."
As Zane finished speaking, before Yanis could say anything, there was a knock on the door.
Zane responded, "Come in."
Antonio stood at the door of the room and pushed it open upon hearing the response from inside.
Seeing that it was Antonio, Zane raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you go to your parents' place?"
"I did. My mom said my sister would be discharged soon, so she asked me to come and say hello first."
Zane nodded and then looked at Yanis. "You two can talk for a while. I'll go outside."
Yanis reached out and held onto Zane. "No need, there's no need to avoid it."
Zane glanced at Yanis but didn't say anything. He sat down on a nearby chair.
Yanis didn't ask Zane to avoid the situation, and Antonio naturally didn't say anything either.
"Sis, I'm sorry," Antonio said straightforwardly. As he walked up to Yanis, he immediately apologized.
Upon hearing Antonio's words, Yanis furrowed her brow slightly. "Just be good from now on and stay
away from those things."
Antonio nodded, then suddenly knelt down in front of Yanis. "Sis, I was wrong before, I made mistakes.
I'm sorry."
Antonio's actions left Yanis a bit bewildered, and she reached out to pull him up. "You should stand up
first."
Antonio looked up at Yanis, his gaze slightly upward. "Sis, please forgive me. I promise I won't touch
those filthy things again, and I won't target you like before."
Yanis looked at Antonio. "You should stand up first."
"Sis, even if you don't forgive me, it's okay. I will gradually change and treat you well."
Yanis increased the strength of her grip on Antonio's arm. "You should stand up first."
"Sis..."
"I forgive you. Now get up."
Upon hearing Yanis's words, Antonio finally stood up. "Sis, thank you. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't
even know where I'd end up now."
Yanis looked at Antonio, seeing his sincere remorse. However, thinking of what Anika had experienced ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
earlier, Yanis glanced at Zane and then spoke softly, "I'll take you to apologize to Anika another day.
She's the one you should apologize to the most."
Upon hearing Yanis's words, Antonio instinctively glanced at Zane, then nodded. "Okay."
After greeting Zane, Yanis went to Martin's room with Antonio, said hello, and then visited Bonnie's
room before leaving the hospital.
