Chapter 866: Nancy, Live Well

Aunt Rivers nodded. "Okay, we'll go outside now. Try to talk to Nancy, we'll all go outside."

Aunt Rivers then reached out and pulled Andrew. "Let's go!"

Then Aunt Rivers looked at Mrs. Jones. Though she didn't say anything, her eyes revealed her

intentions.

Yanis nodded slightly at Mrs. Jones. "Aunt, don't worry, Nancy will be fine."

Mrs. Jones responded, "Please take care of her."

Yanis acknowledged her and turned to Dr. Watson and the others. "Dr. Watson, please leave as well."

Dr. Watson nodded. "Alright." Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

Once everyone had left, Yanis approached Nancy, closed the door of the ward, and then walked to her

side, extending his hand. "Can you give me your hand?"

Nancy looked at Yanis for a moment before handing him her hand.

Yanis took Nancy's hand and helped her down from the window, then reached to close the window a

bit.

As soon as Nancy came down, she broke down and burst into tears.

The child in her arms seemed to sense Nancy's emotions and started crying too.

For a while, the cries of Nancy and the child filled the hospital room.

Yanis looked at the crying child in Nancy's arms and reached out to try to hold him. "Let me hold him

for a bit?"

Without hesitation, Nancy handed the child to Yanis.

Yanis reached out and took the child from Nancy's arms, his movements a bit awkward at first.

But he quickly adjusted.

Yanis soothed the child and then looked at Nancy, who was suppressing her sobs. He sat down next to

her and gently placed the sleeping child back in her arms. "Nancy, the one who will be most hurt by

your actions is this child and your loving parents. Is it really worth it to sacrifice everything for an

unworthy man? Is it worth it for the sake of the child and your parents?"

Nancy looked at her sleeping son in her arms, tears uncontrollably streaming down her face.

"If he's not worth it, then let's just let go. There's no need to cling desperately and try to keep him with

such methods. It's unnecessary."

"I'm not trying to keep him. I just can't understand," Nancy whispered.

Yanis responded, "I know you're not trying to keep him, but Nancy, if he doesn't love you, why torture

yourself to keep him?"

Nancy looked up at Yanis. "Yanis, back then... when you were with Mr. Lawrence, could you really let

him go?"

Yanis responded to her words, "Nancy, our situations are different. Zane had his reasons for what he

did, and our circumstances are incomparable."

Nancy took a deep breath. "Well, Mr. Lawrence had planned it all along. His actions were just to protect

me from Neve's harm. Now he only has me in his heart, loving me like his life depends on it."

Yanis sat back down next to Nancy. "Maybe I'm luckier, so even after going through so much, the

person I love hasn't completely left. Instead, it made us love each other more."

"But Nancy, many people aren't as lucky. They'll meet someone who storms into their lives just to teach

them a lesson. Some people casually say they've loved and then effortlessly leave, leaving one person

heartbroken."

Yanis finished speaking and looked at Nancy. "You're the unlucky one."

Nancy forced a bitter smile. "Yes, maybe I did too many bad things in my past life, which is why I'm

facing this situation."

"Nancy, do you believe in fate?" Yanis asked softly.

Before Nancy could answer, Yanis continued, "I didn't believe in it before, but now I do."

Nancy looked at Yanis. "Yanis, I..."

"Nancy, living is not just for others, but also for yourself," Yanis met Nancy's gaze. "Since he doesn't

love you, let him go and let yourself go too. Think about your family and this child."

After listening to Yanis's words, Nancy fell silent for a few seconds before speaking up. "He doesn't

want to give me the child."

"File for divorce. When you're discharged from the hospital, file for divorce," Yanis said in a low voice.

"If you don't have a suitable lawyer, I know someone. I can introduce you."

Nancy looked at Yanis. "Can you really do that?"

"Nancy, people have to take a chance. That's how you live without regrets. If you can't bear to part with

the child, then keep the child."

Nancy remained silent for a moment. "I know what to do now. Thank you, Yanis."

Relieved to hear Nancy's response, Yanis let out a sigh. "Is the child drinking formula now?"

Nancy nodded. "I've been using medication. The formula has some ingredients, so Dr. Watson

suggested waiting seven days before giving it to the child."

"Then listen to Dr. Watson."

Nancy murmured in agreement, then remembered something and looked at Yanis. "Why were you at

the hospital so early?"

Yanis replied, "I came for a check-up and coincidentally heard about what happened here. So, I came

to see."

Upon hearing Yanis's words, Nancy looked at her. "Are you sick?"

"Just a minor ailment. Dr. Watson prescribed me some medication, and I'll pick it up later."

"Well, go take care of that. My mom is here, so I won't do anything foolish. I'll file for divorce once I'm

discharged."

Yanis nodded. "I'll recommend the lawyer I know to you later."

"Okay, thank you."

Yanis stood up and as she walked out, she looked at Nancy and said softly, "Nancy, take care of

yourself."

Nancy met Yanis's gaze and nodded gently. "Okay."

Yanis smiled and turned to leave.

When Yanis left, Dr. Watson and the others were waiting at the door. Aunt Rivers and Mrs. Jones were

the first to approach.

"Miss Thompson, is Nancy alright?" Aunt Rivers asked anxiously.

Yanis nodded. "She's fine. You and Aunt can go in and see her."

After saying that, Yanis glanced at Andrew. "He doesn't need

to go in. Nancy wouldn't be happy to see him, so don't upset her."

Yanis directed her words to Mrs. Jones.

Mrs. Jones looked at Yanis. "Thank you, Miss Thompson."

Yanis nodded and greeted Dr. Watson before turning to leave.

Yanis went to pick up her medication and then found Dr. Watson to ask about the dosage and other

things to be mindful of. Although it had been mentioned before, Dr. Watson repeated the dosage and

precautions. "Try not to get angry or have extreme mood swings. It can have an impact."

"Alright, thank you, Dr. Watson."

Dr. Watson shook his head. "No need to be so polite."

After leaving the hospital, Yanis went directly to the store.

When Yanis arrived at the hospital, Linda and the others had just arrived as well. "Yanis, why did you

come so early today?"
