Yanis responded upon hearing the voice, "Good morning."
Speaking of which, Yanis looked at Linda and asked, "Did our boss mention coming today?"
"She should be coming in the afternoon. Why?" Linda replied.
"No worries, I just wanted to ask something. I'll give her a call." Yanis said as she dialed Bonnie's
number.
After several rings, Bonnie finally answered the phone on the other end.
"Yanis?" Bonnie's voice came through the phone, sounding a bit lazy, clearly not fully awake.
"You're not up yet?" Yanis said as she continued walking inside.
Bonnie responded with an "mmhmm" and said, "I stayed up late talking to Ivan last night, so I slept in a
bit. What's up?"
"Nothing much, just wanted to know when you're coming over." Yanis replied.
There was a pause on Bonnie's end for a few seconds before her voice came through again, "I'll get up
soon and come over. Are you already at the store?"
Yanis replied, "I went to pick up the order this morning and came straight here."
"What did Dr. Watson say?" Bonnie asked on the phone.
"For now, he said there's nothing to worry about. We'll see next month. He told me not to be impatient
and to keep a positive mood, not to overthink." Yanis answered.
After hearing Yanis's words, Bonnie responded, "I think Dr. Watson is right. You're overthinking. It's
better to let things happen naturally. By overthinking, you're putting unnecessary pressure on yourself,
which is not good."
Yanis murmured in agreement, "Are you coming over for breakfast? Wendy said she's making pan-fried
dumplings today."
Bonnie hesitated for a moment and then said, "Save me a portion too. I'll get ready and come over."
"Sure, take your time. Wendy hasn't come back from grocery shopping yet." Yanis said softly.
"Got it. I know. See you at the store later."
Yanis responded and hung up the phone before Bonnie.
When Bonnie arrived, Wendy had just finished making the pan-fried dumplings.
"Boss, you've got really long legs. I'm so envious." Linda was about to be the first one to dig into the
meal, but when she saw Bonnie walking in, she held the plate and looked at Bonnie.
Bonnie was now the most important protected animal, so Linda obediently handed the first plate of
dumplings to Bonnie.
Bonnie took the dumplings from Linda without hesitation. "I got lucky. You should learn from me next
time."
Linda pouted, "If I'm so careful, I'll end up with nothing. You'll just take everything and leave me with
nothing."
Bonnie picked up a dumpling and handed it to Linda, saying, "Here, open your mouth. I won't even give
one to Yanis first. I'll give it to you. See how good I am to you."
Linda snorted, "Ah, it's still our boss who treats me well!"
After everyone finished breakfast, Yanis and Bonnie went outside.
Yanis briefly explained what had happened at the hospital in the morning to Bonnie.
Bonnie was shocked to hear Yanis's words, "What did Nancy see as so unbearable? That scumbag
Andrew should have been dumped early on instead of attempting suicide. Is he out of his mind?"
Yanis whispered, "Maybe Nancy didn't expect Andrew to go this far."
Bonnie said, "That guy thinks he
's rich and has a strong background. He probably believes that Nancy won't find anyone else besides
him. That's why he's so arrogant. Let him see what it's like to deal with someone who's financially well-
off. He won't even dare to make a peep. People like him are just too confident!"
"Oh, by the way, I told Nancy that I'll introduce her to a lawyer. Can you give me Lawyer Phillips'
Facebook account or phone number so I can give it to Nancy?" Yanis looked at Bonnie and asked.
After Yanis finished speaking, Bonnie immediately picked up her phone and sent Lane's number to Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.
Yanis. "You can send it to Nancy. It's better to end things early with that kind of man. Otherwise, Nancy
will undoubtedly end up dead."
Yanis forwarded the phone number Bonnie sent to Nancy: [This is Lane, Lawyer Phillips. He's a good
person. You can contact him first and explain the situation. Or should I talk to him first and give him a
general idea?]
Nancy replied quickly: [Okay, you talk to him first. Let me know if there's anything I need to prepare.]
Yanis replied with a simple "OK" and then looked at Bonnie, "I don't have much to do at noon. Do you
want to invite Lawyer Phillips over? I can give him a brief overview of Nancy's situation?"
Bonnie thought for a moment, "Yanis, it's not that I don't want to help you. If you want to make plans
with him, just give him a call directly. If you reach out to him, he'll definitely come. I don't need to make
the call."
Upon hearing Bonnie's words, Yanis couldn't help but chuckle softly, "Did something happen when you
had dinner together last night?"
"No, nothing happened," Bonnie shook her head. "Anyway, it's better to be a bit cautious. I feel like my
natural approach doesn't work on him. The more natural I am, the more natural he is."
After listening to Bonnie's words, Yanis couldn't hold back her laughter, "Alright, I'll give him a call later."
Bonnie nodded, "Go ahead and call him. By the way, have you finalized Mr. Lawrence's schedule for
tonight? I need to get back to the Old Mr. Cooke."
Yanis pondered for a moment upon hearing Bonnie's question, "I'll ask and let you know later."
"Okay, I'll go get a drink. I'm a bit thirsty after eating so much," Bonnie turned and walked back inside.
After Bonnie left, Yanis immediately dialed Zane's number.
The phone rang several times without an answer.
It wasn't until the call was about to hang up automatically that someone finally picked up the phone.
"Zane..."
"Mrs. Lawrence, it's me."
The voice on the other end of the line wasn't Zane's voice, but Albi's voice.
Upon hearing that it was Albi's voice, Yanis asked directly, "Is he busy?"
Albi replied in a low voice, "Mr. Lawrence is in a meeting right now. When it's over, shall I ask Mr.
Lawrence to call you back?"
Yanis acknowledged with a sound, "Alright, then I'll hang up for now."
"Okay, goodbye, Mrs. Lawrence."
Yanis hung up the phone, glanced at the time, and then dialed Lane's number.
After the call connected, it was picked up almost instantly, "Hello?"
"Good morning, Lawyer Phillips. This is Yanis," Yanis introduced herself proactively.
Upon hearing Yanis's voice, Lane chuckled softly, "Miss Thompson."
Yanis responded, "Lawyer Phillips, do you have some time around noon today? I have a friend who
needs your help with something."
