Chapter 875: We Disagree!
"I also disagree!" Just then, Natasha, who had originally gone back to the room with Mia, came
downstairs and added after Taylor's words. The atmosphere became somewhat oppressive with the
unanimous opposition from the three of them.
No one had expected that the two people who should have opposed didn't, while the least expected
ones stood up against it.
Marnon looked at the three of them. "Why do you disagree?"
After asking this question, Marnon first looked at Payne. "Little Strong, you go first. Why do you
disagree?"
"... Allan is much older than Sister Reed. He can't accompany her into old age!" NôvelDrama.Org is the owner.
Taylor glanced at Allan and said, "He was involved in Nealon's mischief before, he has a record!"
Finally, everyone's gaze fell on Natasha.
Natasha pursed her lips. "Sister Reed is suitable for a man like Mr. Lawrence, not him."
The three of them had different opinions, but their attitudes were consistent. They didn't agree with
Allan being with Reed.
Marnon looked at Allan. "What can you promise them to reassure them?"
Allan stood up and looked at Natasha first. "Can I call you Natasha?"
Natasha shook her head. "We're not familiar, just call me by my name."
"Natasha..."
Allan turned to Reed and shook his head, then looked at Natasha again. "Okay, I'll call you by your
name."
"Natasha, I will treat your sister as well as Mr. Lawrence treats Yanis. I will definitely learn from Mr.
Lawrence."
"How can you guarantee that? And you don't have a job now, how will you support my sister? Wouldn't
she be miserable if she married you? Although our family is not wealthy, we are happy being together.
But if she is with you, she will be burdened."
Natasha paused and looked at Reed. "Sister Reed, you need to think carefully before making a
decision."
Reed responded softly, "I have already thought it through."
"Sister Reed, can you trust everything a man says?" Taylor looked at Reed and asked.
Reed frowned, "I trust him."
"He is so much older than you, isn't there a generation gap between you?" Payne asked.
"We don't have any communication barriers, and it's only a six-year age difference."
"But he has a criminal record. What if he does something bad in the future and it affects you?" Taylor
looked at Reed.
Allan timely spoke up, "I have indeed done a lot of bad things with Nealon before, but I won't follow him
anymore. I will find a proper job, work hard, earn money, and won't let your sister suffer."
"Do you really think earning money is so easy? Besides, what can you do in your current situation?"
Payne looked at Allan. "They say it's difficult for people with criminal records to find a job. What kind of
job can you find to make a living in a big city like Manches City with your sister?"
"I can!" Allan's tone was resolute. "I will work hard, stand my ground in Manches City, and I will never
let your sister suffer in the slightest."
"Then how can we believe you? How can we trust that what you're saying is true and not just
something to placate us?" Allan said.
"You're not doing it for us, you're doing it for my sister, and it has to be genuine, without an ounce of
deception," Payne said firmly.
Allan nodded. "Alright, then should I write a pledge for you?"
Natasha chimed in, "I'll get paper and pen. It should be at least a thousand words."
After Natasha left the room to retrieve the supplies, Allan couldn't believe that the most difficult
objections came from the younger ones.
Yanis reached out and pulled Zane's arm. "Let's go back for now?"
Zane nodded. "Alright."
Yanis looked at Marnon. "You guys talk, Zane and I will head back."
Marnon looked at Yanis. "Let Mitch escort you."
Mitch stood up. "Mr. Lawrence, Yanis, I'll walk you out."
Yanis nodded. "Alright."
As they walked towards the car, Yanis greeted Allan. "We're leaving first."
Allan nodded. "Alright."
When they reached the car, Yanis looked at Mitch. "You can go inside."
Mitch nodded. "Alright, Yanis, take care. Goodbye, Mr. Lawrence."
Mitch watched as Yanis and Zane got in the car and left before turning around and going back inside.
By the time Mitch returned, Allan was already sitting at a table, writing the pledge for Payne, Taylor, and
Natasha.
"Mom, why don't you rest first?" Mitch approached Marnon. "I'll fetch your medicine, and then you can
rest. I'll stay here and keep an eye on things."
Marnon glanced at Allan and whispered, "It's getting late. Just stay with Mitch tonight."
Mitch acknowledged. "Alright, you go rest first."
After Marnon went upstairs, Allan stood up as well, seeing Mitch stand. "Aunt, you're going to rest?"
Marnon replied, "You guys continue talking. If it gets too late, just stay with Mitch for the night."
Mitch gave Allan a quick glance before nodding. "Alright. You go rest first."
After Marnon went upstairs, Allan conscientiously sat back down and resumed writing the pledge.
Allan had never been so serious before. Limited by his education, writing a thousand words was harder
for him than getting beaten up by his brothers.
After struggling for half an hour, he had only written a few lines.
Taylor and Natasha couldn't bear to watch anymore. They exchanged a glance, and Natasha spoke up,
"Why don't you let us write it?"
Upon hearing Natasha's words, Allan quickly tore up the few lines he had written. "Alright."
"I, Allan, solemnly swear that from now on, I will obey Reed's every command!" Natasha said, urging
Allan, "Write it!"
Allan cleared his throat. "How do you write a solemn oath?"
Mitch furrowed his brow, stepped forward, took the pen from Allan's hand, and threw it on the table.
"Come with me."
"Boss, he hasn't finished writing yet!"
"I'll have him finish later. You guys go do your homework. Are we skipping school tomorrow?" Mitch
asked the others in a low voice.
Hesitant at Mitch's words, the three of them looked at Allan simultaneously.
Meeting their gazes, Allan assured them, "You guys go do your homework. I promise I'll finish it tonight
and let you review it in the morning!"
Upon receiving Allan's assurance, the three of them returned to their rooms.
After they left,
Mitch looked at Reed. "Go check on Mia."
Reed nodded. "Alright."
"Let's go outside," Mitch said abruptly, then turned and walked towards the door.
"Don't lay a hand on my brother," Reed whispered to Allan as she watched Mitch's back.
Allan replied, "Don't worry. You should go rest as well. I won't leave tonight."
Reed nodded. "Alright, message me if you need anything."
Allan raised his hand and gave Reed's head a rub, indicating for her to go upstairs and rest.
