Chapter 876: Is the Money You Gave Me Really from My Dad?
After Reed went upstairs, Allan turned and followed Mitch out the door.
"Did you meet my mom?" Mitch turned around to look at Allan, asking in a low voice.
Allan nodded and took a few steps forward, sitting down on the stairs ahead. "I went a couple of days
ago and had a chat with her."
"What did you tell her?" Mitch sat down next to Allan in the same spot.
Allan didn't hide anything and replied, "I intended to talk to her about me and Reed, but before I could
say anything, she spoke first and didn't give me a chance to explain."
Allan recounted everything he had said to Marnon to Mitch in detail.
After listening to Allan, Mitch glanced at him and asked, "Is the money you gave me really from my
dad?"
"Who else would it be from? Do you think I gave it to you?" Allan retorted.
Before Mitch could respond, Allan continued, "I'm in dire need of money right now. Where do you think I
would get the money to give you?"
Mitch still believed Allan had lied about this matter, but looking at Allan's expression, Mitch couldn't
pinpoint exactly where Allan had lied.
"Don't look at me like that, as if I've done something terrible," Allan reached into his pocket for a
cigarette, placing it between his lips, only to find that he didn't have a lighter.
Just as Allan was about to enjoy the cigarette without lighting it, Mitch took out a lighter, lit it, and
handed it to Allan.
When Allan saw the lighter Mitch handed to him, he raised an eyebrow, lit the cigarette with a tilt of his
head, and took a puff. Then Allan turned his head to look at Mitch. "You smoke too?"
"Rarely," Mitch replied.
Mitch put away the lighter. "I'm going to Viteto tomorrow. Look after Reed and the others for me."
It wasn't a discussion, but rather a direct notification from Mitch.
After hearing Mitch's words, Allan was taken aback. "What are you going to Viteto for?"
"I'm going home to see my dad and take care of some things there. I'll probably be back in about three
or four days," Mitch explained.
Allan took a few more puffs, finished his cigarette, pressed the butt against his hand, and extinguished
it. "I also have something to take care of and will be leaving Manches City for a while, but I'll have Evan
come and keep an eye on things."
"Where are you going?"
"Personal matters."
Allan didn't plan to go back to Viteto with Mitch, nor did he plan to tell Mitch about his own trip to Viteto.
After all, he didn't want Mitch to be involved in what he was going to do there.
The two of them sat on the stairs outside for a long time. Finally, Mitch spoke up, "Let's stay here
tonight. If you can't finish that 3, 000-word pledge, they won't believe in you."
Allan sighed, "Can you help me a little?"
As Mitch looked at Allan coldly, Allan added, "I mean, can you help me write it, and I'll just press my
fingerprint at the end?"
Mitch stopped in his tracks at Allan's words. "Figure it out yourself. I have to wake up early tomorrow.
I'm going to bed."
Without waiting for Allan's response, Mitch got up, turned around, and went back inside.
Allan sat outside for a while longer before finally getting up and heading inside to struggle with the 3,
000-word pledge.
After Yanis and Zane returned to D-king Castle, they parked the car and took a short walk nearby.
"Tomorrow morning, Mitch is going back to Viteto, and I'll drop him off," Yanis said, looking at Zane. "I'll
leave a bit earlier, so we won't have breakfast together."
Upon hearing this, Zane looked at Yanis and asked, "Should I come with you?"
"No need. After dropping off Mitch, I'll go see something with Stella and then head straight to the store,"
Yanis replied.
Zane didn't say anything more upon hearing Yanis' response.
The next morning, Yanis left the house at six o'clock.
She arrived at the apartment building at six-thirty.
As she walked inside, she coincidentally ran into Allan, who was returning with breakfast.
"Why are you here so early? To drop off Mitch?" Allan asked when he saw Yanis.
Yanis nodded and asked, "Did Mitch tell you he's going back to Viteto?"
"He did. Said he'll be gone for three to four days. If you have time these days, keep an eye on things
here so he won't worry," Allan replied.
Yanis listened to Allan and whispered, "What about you? With Mitch gone, isn't it your chance to
impress?"
"I have some things to take care of, can't make a move now. But if you're busy, I can have Evan come
over," Allan explained.
"I'm not that busy. If I have time, I'll come over," Yanis said, then looked at Allan and asked, "Have you
passed Natasha and the others' test?"
Upon hearing this, Allan sighed helplessly. "I still have two thousand words left on the guarantee letter.
I'll continue writing later. Only after it's done will they consider it."
Yanis suppressed a smile and said, "Well, good luck then."
"You didn't ask Zane to write a guarantee letter or something? A ten-thousand-word one," Allan
remarked.
"He doesn't need to," Yanis replied.
Allan sighed again. "Alright, he doesn't have that privilege."
"You can keep that privilege for yourself."
The two of them entered the house while having their conversation.
Since Natasha, Taylor, Payne, and Mia had to go to school, they were already awake at this time.
"Yanis."
"Yanis."
"Sister Yanis!"
When they saw Yanis, they all greeted her, completely ignoring Allan's presence.
Allan approached Reed and handed him breakfast, then greeted Marnon.
Marnon nodded and said, "Let's eat together."
Allan agreed and turned to help Reed. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
Mitch finished packing and came out, ate something together with Yanis, and then they left together.
Before leaving, Marnon repeatedly reminded Mitch to be careful on the road.
Yanis saw Mitch off at the airport, waiting until he boarded the plane before driving to meet Stella.
When Yanis arrived, Stella was still in bed, rubbing her sleepy eyes as she looked at Yanis standing at
the door. "Why are you up so early?"
"Just sent someone off at the airport, came straight here," Yanis replied as she entered the room.
"What were you doing last night? You look so tired."
"Sandy insisted on taking me out last night. We didn't come back until 3 am. I can't handle staying up
late like this anymore. I need to sleep a bit more. Why don't you join me?" Stella suggested.
Yanis waved her hand. "You go sleep. I'll come back to find you later."
Stella sighed. "So you have to make another trip
?"
"Sis, you go sleep. If I need to see something, I'll go with Yanis," Sandy said, emerging from the room.
Yanis looked at Sandy and asked, "Are you sure you can come with me?"
Sandy nodded. "Don't worry, no one will recognize us."
Yanis still felt uneasy. "Maybe you should stay home and be safe. I'll go with your sister later."
Stella chimed in, "You should stay home, Sandy. Yanis and I will go together."
