Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 396
Chapter 396 What Should I Wear, Then?
Meanwhile, Patrick and Vanessa had been in their room the whole time,
Patrick was hiding in a corner, not wanting to see Clarissa.
Vanessa kept trying to persuade him to try to make amends.
“What I did is unforgivable!” He was very much lucid at present.
“You weren‘t yourself when you did that! I‘m sure Clarissa will forgive you. Moreover, Damien‘s already
covered your tracks, hasn‘t he? You have to trust him and not let him down.” As Vanessa spoke, she
rubbed Patrick‘s chest to soothe him. “Theresa‘s already gone, so you shouldn‘t overthink things,
alright?” Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.
Patrick combed through his thoughts for a long time before finally mustering the courage to walk out of
the room.
When Clarissa saw them, her hand trembled. She still greeted Vanessa before continuing to eat.
She didn‘t say anything to Patrick, however. Everyone knew why, and nobody blamed her.
Suddenly, Clarissa lost her appetite. She took a few more bites before excusing herself and heading
upstairs.
She wanted to change her clothes, but she couldn‘t find anything.
There didn‘t seem to be any traces of her ever having lived here.
“Are you angry again?” Damien came upstairs.
“Where are my clothes?”
“I had someone incinerate them.”
What?” She frowned.
She didn‘t say anything else, though. They had only just gotten back, and she didn‘t want to get into a
fight with him just yet. Clarissa could imagine how furious he must‘ve been at her going against him
and insisting on leaving the country. “What should I wear, then?” she asked. They had returned in a
hurry and hadn‘t had the chance to pack anything. Even the scarf he had bought for her had been left
in Emmeria.
“You?” Damien eyed her lustily. “You look best when you‘re naked. We should take several more
photos of you in the nude this time.”
“Fuck off!” Clarissa spat
He sat down on the sofa. His heart seemed to itch even more at her words.
She wasn‘t in the mood at all, though, thanks to Patrick‘s appearance as well as what Iris had said
about Helen
“How long do you plan on staying this time?” he asked
Damien knew that with how stubborn she was, forcing her to give up on her studies would be akin to
taking her life. Thus, was why he didn‘t bring it up.
“Three to five days, I guess. I have a lot of assignments.” She started unpacking
“You‘d better focus on studying and not get up to all sorts of hijinks.”
Clarissa stilled, “You saw how I spent my time in Emmeria. All I do is study, and I basically don‘t come
into contact with other men. Anyway, all the Meranian men that I‘ve met don‘t come close to you, and
I‘m not interested in Eminerian men at all.”
It was obvious Damien was pleased by the fact that she found other Meranian men to be no match for
him.
“Emmerian men are good in bed,” he suddenly said. She paused again. “How would you know? Have
you experienced it before?” He burst into laughter. “They all have a sort of odor on them, and I can‘t
stand it. I just want to get as far away from them as possible.” Damien was satisfied with her answer.
“So you‘ll come back twice a month in the future?”
“It depends. I don‘t want there to be any distractions when I have to study for tests and all.”
“Aren‘t you afraid that I‘ll cheat on you?”
She gave it some thought. “We‘re divorced, after all. You can always choose to be with any other
woman if she‘s a good match.”
Damien wanted to scoff. It seemed studying abroad had widened her horizons. She couldn‘t even be
bothered with men anymore.
“Did you know that Lily‘s been promoted?”
Clarissa looked up. “To what position?”
“Project manager.”
“That‘s not very high up. Her education level‘s truly a limitation, and she won‘t have much choice in the
future.”
“What other choices do you want to have?”
“I don‘t know. I just want to be able to decide on my own fate instead of going with the flow.”
Damien had intended to make a last–ditch effort to get Clarissa to say. He wanted to tell her that she
could rely on him instead of her education level, but she didn‘t take the bait at all. She had easily come
up with a solution
