Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 397
Chapter 397 You Can Have a Baby With Someone Else
Damien had his way with Clarissa over the next few days.
If not for the fact that he was indeed the president of New East Corporation, she would think that he
was a nymphomaniac. It seemed to be the only thing on his mind. To this, all he said was, “This is your
first time back here in so many months. I have to make up for all the time that we‘ve lost.”
In fact, one night, he‘d actually said, “Let‘s have another baby.”
She turned him down without a second thought.
She even asked, “Do you like kids that much?”
“I like them if they‘re yours.”
.
“Sorry, then. You can have a baby with someone else.”
At that, Damien leaned back and lit a cigarette. “If that‘s the case, I‘ll just have to make do with another
woman.”
“That‘s up to you.”
Clarissa booked herself a flight to Emmeria on Friday. On Thursday, she called Helen.
Unlike Damien, who couldn‘t care less about this, she wanted to know where she had come from.
Those were her roots, and she was curious.
She wanted to see what her alleged biological mother looked like.
In all honesty, she wasn‘t sure whether Helen really was her mother, but she knew she could find her
biological mother through Helen.
While Damien was at work, Clarissa called Helen. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
“Excuse me, am I speaking to Helen Jackson?” Clarissa asked cautiously. Her heart raced.
“Yes, I am she. You... You‘re Clary,” a gentle voice said.
Clarissa’s heart warmed at the way Helen addressed her.
“Yes, I am. I‘d like to see you.”
“Alright. I‘m staying in room 4014 of the Red Rose Hotel. Are you free to meet me at two o‘ clock?”
“Yes.”
That afternoon, Clarissa arrived at the Red Rose Hotel. She was about to knock on the door when she
heard voices from within the room. “If so, I‘ll get rid of the baby. I won‘t affect Miss Johnson, or rather,
Mrs. Lawrence.” A young lady was speaking, and she sounded resolute. When Clarissa heard that she
had something to do with this, she stopped and listened.
“That’s for the best. But since Damien loves kids so much, you should think of a reason he can accept.
I came to you for my daughter‘s sake, and I hope you can forgive me. All mothers are
selfish when it comes to their children. This was spoken by an older woman. “You don‘t need to
concern yourself with that! I‘m at fault for getting pregnant after one night with President Lawrence. I
know he really wants this baby to be born, but now that Mrs. Lawrence is back, I can‘t be a
homewrecker. i‘ll get rid of the baby on my own.”
“But your congenital heart disease.. “the older woman trailed, “You‘ll die if you get rid of the
baby”
“That‘s none of your business! Goodbye!”
Clarissa had been listening in on their conversation.
She was suspicious of everything she had heard recently. If she had guessed correctly, the two people
in this conversation were Lucy and Helen. Back in Emmeria, Mrs. Faber had already told Damien about
Lucy being pregnant, but Damien had brushed her off and told Clarissa not to believe it. Now, however,
Clarissa was starting to think it was true. Moreover, Lucy had congenital heart disease. When Lucy
stepped out of the room, she glanced at Clarissa, who was standing near the door.
She didn‘t seem to recognize Clarissa, and left quickly.
Clarissa‘s heart sank. She didn‘t know whether Lucy really was pregnant with Damien‘s baby, but from
Lucy‘s words, it seemed that she was willing to throw her life away for her sake! Anyone would feel
unbelievably guilty to hear something like that!
