She was almost at the villa entrance when she saw the man entering the gate behind her. She quickened her pace, but he followed her to her door.

"What do you want?" she demanded, turning to face him.

The streetlights were bright enough for her to see his face clearly. Even in this situation, she was taken aback.

This man was beautiful. More than handsome-beautiful. He had captivating features, and an air of casual yet arrogant elegance. Olivorch a beautiful man being a stalker was a waste.

"This is my house. Since you helped me earlier, I won't call the police. Just leave!*

She took a step back, but he closed the distance.

"You..."

He encircled her. He smirked, then, to her astonishment, pressed his finger to the electronic lock, opening the door.

Sonya was stunned. He put his arm around her and guided her inside.

"I thought you were home, but you weren't. Mr. Givens said you went to the bar, so I got the address from him and..."

He'd beaten up Jenny Stone for her.

Sonya relaxed slightly."Why didn't you tell me who you were? I thought you were a gangster." Henry chuckled."I was wondering how to greet you. 'I'm Henry, your fiancé, nice to meet you? That would have sounded strange, right?" She laughed; it would have.

Inside, he kept his arm around her. She tried to subtly move away, but he pushed her against the door.

"You..."

Before she could finish, he kissed her. It was intense and passionate, as if he'd been longing for this for a long time. Sonya stiffened; although their relationship was unconventional, it was their first meeting.

She tried to push him away, but he held her tightly.noveldrama

"Henry..." she whispered, shaking her head.

He held her head, his breath ragged."Do you know how much I've wanted this?"

""What?"

"I've been dreaming of this."

"But we just met. How did you know you... wanted me?"

"Instinct."

"Huh?"

"From the moment I saw you, I wanted this."

""It's too fast..."

He kissed her again, more urgently. She felt herself lifted into his arms, carried upstairs to the master bedroom. He was on top of her before she even hit the bed.

What happened next unfolded naturally. Sonya was initially hesitant, but his passion swept her

away.

He'd clearly been longing for this. He finally stopped only when Sonya was too exhausted to move, then carried her to the shower.

Sonya woke up to a bright morning sun. Henry was already awake. She tried to sit up, feeling like her body was broken. She realized she was naked, covered in marks, her face flushed.

He'd placed her pajamas and underwear on the nightstand. After dressing, she went to the bathroom.

Downstairs, she heard Henry on a call on speakerphone.

Nathan, you know we're serious. We wouldn't have cooperated with so many revisions of the acquisition proposal."

Sonya went to the dining area and saw Henry cooking breakfast. He was wearing loose jeans but was shirtless, revealing broad shoulders and a defined physique. Her mental image of Henry-suit-clad and refined-was very different from reality. The voice on the phone was angry."Mr. Sullivan, you say you're serious, but you return home at a crucial moment, halting negotiations. I don't see your sincerity!"

"I'm getting married."

"Marriage is more important than a multi-billion dollar acquisition?"

"Of course."

"Mr. Sullivan, we're running out of time."

"If you can wait, wait until after

continue then."

"Then I apologize. Hopefully, we'll have another opportunity."

"That's a blatant breach of contract!"

"Nathan, watch your language."

The man took a deep breath."What if we accept your last proposal?" "Excellent.

You can sign at our Seattle office. My secretary is

waiting."

"You..." the man seethed."Mr. Sullivan, what can I say?"

"Wish me a happy wedding."

"Fine. Congratulations to you and your wife."

He hung up, turned off the stove, and served the noodles. He saw Sonya watching him. He smiled, placed the bowl on the table, and hugged her. "Awake?"

"Yes, you..."

Sonya was still a little awkward, but he naturally leaned down and kissed her. It started as a good morning kiss, but deepened quickly. 30.6%

"Stop!" Sonya pushed him away, taking deep breaths."I'm hungry!"

He grinned, making her blush again.

"I made you noodles."

Meras

He pulled out a chair for her and placed a large bowl of seafood noodles in front of her. "The seafood is from my grandmother. She prepared it. I soaked it last night. Perfect for noodles this morning," Henry said, sitting down. Sonya looked at the steaming noodles; the ingredients were plentiful and smelled delicious.

"You made this?"

Henry handed her chopsticks."Try it."

She took a bite. It was fresh, fragrant, the noodles chewy, the shrimp crisp.

"Delicious!" she exclaimed, giving him a thumbs-up.

Henry raised an eyebrow."I used to be a chef."

"Really?"

"Yes," Henry tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear."My mother always said, the more skills you have, the better. Learn more, more opportunities."

"What else have you done?"

"Many things. Like being a... gigolo."

Sonya gasped, staring at him in disbelief. Henry burst out laughing."Don't
