MY ONE NIGHT STAND WITH MR ARROGANT

Louisa walked grudgingly towards the door and opened it. before she could react Olivia walked hastily into her apartment.

‘I guess it runs in the family’

She closed the door and returned to the mini living room. Olivia walked out of the kitchen with a bottle of water.

Louisa released a breath, she wanted to ask a lots of questions to the lady sitting elegantly in front of her.

“how did you find my apartment?” Louisa asked straight to the point.

Olivia wiped her lips while placing the bottle of water on the table.

“it was so easy given as you are the new trending lady on the internet”

Louisa rolled her eyes, of course she knew that and she hated it so much. “Yeah tell me more” she said sarcastically.

“My brother never knew about all that, I was the one who came up with the idea”

“don’t try to cover him up, I know everything”

Olivia stood up and held Louisa’s shoulders “You know nothing Louisa, I misunderstood everything, I thought you and Dylan were a couple when I saw the little girl”

Louisa sighed, “That is ridiculous!”

“but Dylan is the one getting the thrashing end, he was never wrong and you didn’t help matters either, he left the city and won’t be returning home anytime soon”

Louisa rolled her eyes, rich kids were so spoilt what will he achieve by running away from the city?

“I… I don’t know what to say”

“Please do everything you can to bring him back home, I don’t want to spend another year without him around”

Louisa creased her brows in worry, what was she supposed to do? he already left and no one knows his whereabouts.

“What can I do? I don’t know where he is” she said with a shrug.

Olivia’s eyes darted around till she spotted Louisa’s phone lying on a drawer. She picked it up and placed it on Louisa’s palm.

“Talk to him”

Louisa stared back and forth between the phone and Olivia’s face..

Stephanie turned slowly behind her to see a young lady before her.

“What were you talking about? there are lots of things to be done get going!” the head maid scolded.

Stephanie sighed in relief, for a moment there she thought that the maid heard everything.

“I’m sorry ma’am I joined today and I don’t know my way around here”

The head maid’s gaze narrowed at Stephanie, “You are a newbie yet you managed to find your way to the kitchen! how strange”

“I’m sorry” she replied with her head bowed down.

Cecile walked into the kitchen on hearing the little commotion going on in there. “Is anything the problem?”

The head maid bowed “She was slacking off”

Cecile turned to the maid who was making direct eye contact with her until the head maid pushed her head downwards.

Cecile found her attitude strange but shrugged the thought off. “That’s okay, you both can leave now”

She took a glass of water along with her and returned back to the living room. She heard Amelia sneeze a couple of times and sighed.

“Honey you are getting worse, take this drugs I got you will feel a lot better, but what I fail to understand is how you got a cold”

Amelia’s cheeks blushed beet red as she avoided her mum’s gaze. Cecile immediately understood everything.

“Have this okay?”

Amelia nodded and watched her mum leave before throwing the pills behind the couch.

Liam’s eyes narrowed at her behavior, was she scared of pills now? he hurried down the stairs and placed his briefcase on the table.

“You won’t get better if you don’t take your medications” Liam scolded taking another pill from the envelope beside her.

“What are you talking about?”

“Don’t pretend I saw what you did” Liam seconded pushing the pill into her mouth, he raised the glass of water to her lips.

She scrunched her face up after tasting the bitter drug. “It tastes so bad, yuck!”

“They are meant to taste that way, please get well soon, I won’t go to the office anymore, I would rather stay here to make sure you are okay” Liam pleaded.

Amelia sneezed out into a tissue paper “Tsk you are just like mum you worry for no good reason”

Louisa placed her phone back on the table “I can’t do it!”

Olivia sighed and picked the phone again and placed it on Louisa’s palm. “he is my only sibling, even though he gets unbearable at times I still love him a lot, please don’t punish him for what he knows nothing about”

Olivia picked her purse and left the apartment without turning back.

Louisa stared at the phone on her hand and tapped on it several times.

Dylan’s phone rang out for a few seconds before the call was disconnected. Louisa creased her brow in worry and tried his line again.

A lady ran her hands on Dylan’s sleeping face while staring at the screen of his phone.

She swiped the answer button and waited patiently for Louisa to speak up.

“Where the hell are you Dylan?” Louisa’s questioning voice pierced through her ears.

“He is with the one who he truly loves”

Louisa was dumbfounded by the reply she got, and that too from a lady?.

She ended the call in annoyance. “I knew it! he won’t change so easily, his family and friends are worried sick about him and he is busy enjoying his life with a lady” She huffed irritably..

Amelia sat up as soon as she saw mark coming in. “Father?” she sneezed out, she glanced up if Liam were to see him he would create a scene.

Mark walked hurriedly to her. “Dear where is Liam?”

Amelia pointed up “He is on a business call upstairs”

Amelia’s brows creased in worry, mark was scaring her with his words. She got up from the couch and stood before him. “Danger? what are you talking about?”

Liam came down the stairs in light footsteps, he stood still for some time. “What are you doing here?”

Amelia and mark snapped their heads to him, mark walked forward to Liam. “I came here to warn you about the danger heading your way, your grandfather and stepmom have joined hands with Fred to destroy you completely”

Liam maintained an indifferent face, “And what were you doing then?”

Liam’s questioned to receive a glare from Amelia. “Liam, he came to warn us what more could he do? the least you could do is to appreciate his effort” Amelia snapped at him.

“how are you so sure that he’s not working for them? he could be here to spy on us who knows?”

Amelia rolled her eyes at him, Liam could be unbelievable at times.

“You have to pay heed to me, this time it’s something big, something that would leave a permanent scar in your life”

Stephanie hid at a corner listening to their conversations. “So he is the one who feeds information to his son”.

“There’s no need to be worried about my wellbeing, I’m old enough to look after myself” Liam said in hostility.

“Don’t say anything further, I wronged him which makes it really hard for him to trust me but listen Liam, I won’t gain anything by harming you”

“Fred entering your house wasn’t an accident, this whole thing was preplanned in order to get you back in the city” mark added.

Liam turned around “Leave when you are done” he said and began walking away.

Amelia gritted her teeth in anger, Liam was being unnecessarily harsh on his father. “Don’t worry father, I will talk to him and I will make him understand, thanks for the information”

Mark’s gaze averted to the little girl running towards him in excitement. He opened his arms and embraced her warmly.

Amelia’s eyes stinged by the sight, she suddenly remembered her dad. They had the best daughter father connection which sometimes makes her mum upset. She really missed her dad now.

“My princess” mark said twirling her around, Chloe laughed out loud a couple of times.

“I’m getting dizzy” she choked out in between laughter.
