Amelia gasped softly when Liam suddenly pulled her forward to him..

His hands settled on her waist while his eyes locked with hers..

Amelia sat up hurriedly.. she blinked severally at Liam who had a grin on his lips..

Liam raised a brow at her “What? were you expecting something else?” he chuckled..

Amelia got down from the bed and stood in front of him..

“You are heartless! and cruel!” She blasted, her chest heaving up and down..

Liam shrugged and relaxed back in his sitting position, “How am I heartless and cruel? I told you a while ago that we needed to talk, so what were you expecting?” he mouthed wiggling his eyebrows at her..

Amelia reverted her gaze away from him folding her arm..

“I have nothing to say to you!”

“I’m sure you have a lot to say… like how much you have missed me”

Amelia faced him once more “Look Liam I know my brother and my mum called you here.. but you have to know that I really don’t want to be part of your life anymore”

Liam sighed and rose up to his feet, he inserted both of his hands into his pockets..

“Well you don’t have to actually come back because I’m leaving the country for good with my mum, dad, Chloe and Aidan”

Amelia snapped her head back to him “What? I… meant….. yay! good riddance… and no! Aidan won’t go with you”

“he is my son after all.. and I feel it’s really necessary to leave because I might find a suitable lady for myself and also as Aidan’s stepmom”

Amelia pushed him back down to the sofa.. “Find a suitable lady and get Aidan a stepmom?! I’m not dead yet!” she blurted out..

Liam’s lips pulled upwards into a smirk “But you don’t love me anymore.. that’s the main reason I want to move on with my life… don’t worry you can drop by once or twice in a year for a visit”

Amelia walked to the bed and grabbed two pillows…

“So you want to get a good lady to be your wife and Aidan’s stepmom…”

She barked and hit the pillow against him once more..

Liam caught the pillow before it hits him for the third time..

Amelia threw down the pillows and grabbed his collar…

“Liam Grayson.. have you forgotten that you have only one woman in your life? you think I will let you leave so easily?!”

“You cannot replace me with some other woman Liam.. and as for Aidan.. he won’t get a stepmom”

“So in other words.. you want to be my wife but how am I certain that you won’t leave me at the end? I mean Aidan still needs a mum”

Amelia placed her palm over his lips to stop him from speaking further.. that was enough torture for one day already..

She couldn’t picture Liam and Aidan with another lady other than her..

“I’m not the one who leaves tasks incomplete… I make sure to finish them.. you should know that by now!”

Amelia placed a finger on her lips and walked in light steps to the door, she pulled the door opened and immediately Clara stumbled forward into the room..

Amelia caught her back from falling… “Clara? and all of you! how shameless… I don’t have my privacy anymore!”

Clara’s face flushed in embarrassment, she flashed a toothy smile as she stared at Liam’s indifferent face.. she pouted her lips and sent Amelia an apologetic look..

“I’m sorry Amelia actually it was Karl’s fault! I didn’t want to eavesdrop but he forced me to!”

“Mum Cecile please be honest who brought us here in the first place?”

Amelia touched her forehead and closed the door before turning back to Liam…

Amelia itched her head, she would love to but her contract marriage with Liam was over..

“yeah me too.. but I really want to apologize to you mum Cecile about how I misunderstood your daughter thereby hurting your feelings in the process”

Cecile touched his shoulder and smiled “Parents can’t hate their kids or stay mad at them for so long and you are more than a son to me..”

Cecile gave way when she saw Anthony approaching..

Liam smiled and accepted Anthony’s handshake “I think Liam is okay… let’s not be formal”

Anthony nodded and led Liam slowly away “So this is the first time that we are speaking one on one”

Liam smiled in return “Well that was because Amelia never introduced you to me..”

Anthony stopped walking and faced Liam “Amelia is my only daughter.. since she chose you.. I trust her decision..”

Liam caught sight of Amelia happily chatting away with Chloe and Aidan..

“I promise not to let you down.. how about dinner at my place? it would also be an opportunity for the two families to get well acquainted what do you say?”
