Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 132

Chapter 132

Naomi: [Alright. By the way, I've already made my decision. I'm sorry but I have to turn down the job offer at Herland. I still want to stay in Horizon City with my loved ones. Please pass on my apologies to Master Chandler, and I hope you can find a more suitable candidate for the job.]

The car pulled away from the hotel. Scott stared at the message for a long time, then turned off his phone and gazed out the window.

The buildings flashed across the window, casting reflections of the sunlight against the glass. Scott's expression was calm, but there was a hint of reserved anger in his dark eyes.

As soon as she sent the message, Naomi picked up her bag and room key and strode out of her room. She did not know what time Dylan was supposed to arrive, but considering that he returned after sending her and Scott to the hotel, he probably went to bed late. Therefore, she still had some time to grab breakfast before he arrived to pick her up.

Unfortunately, Scott did not give her Dylan's contact, so there was no way Naomi could get in touch with him. However, she was certain that Scott must have given him Naomi's number so that he could notify her of his arrival.

Naomi knew that there was a restaurant right next to the hotel, so she decided to pop out for some breakfast first before Dylan arrived.

The elevator arrived at the ground floor, and Naomi strode out.

At the same time, a flashy sports car screeched to a halt right in front of the hotel entrance. Naomi glanced at the sports car, and to her surprise, Dylan grinned at her from the driver's seat. He took off his sunglasses, hopped out of the car, and opened the door on the passenger's side. "Hi, Naomi! Please, get in!"

He was grinning from ear to ear, and even Naomi could not help smiling at this. Dylan's good mood was exceptionally infectious. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

"Thank you so much, Dylan," she said, smiling, as she got into the car.

Dylan slid back into the driver's seat. He stepped on the gas and immediately frowned when he heard this. "Naomi, don't be so courteous with me. We're family! Since you're in my side of town, I'm obliged to show you around Herland."

The look on Dylan's face was so serious that Naomi could not help feeling a little intimidated by it. However, she knew that Dylan meant well; she would want her friends to have fun if they visited her too.

"Alright, Dylan."

Dylan smiled. "Please don't hesitate to ask me if you have any requests, Naomi. If anything, you can show me around Horizon City too when I visit you in the future."

"You're always welcome to visit," Naomi replied.

Dylan's car sped toward the largest museum in Herland. Naomi always thought that a museum was the quickest way to get to know a place, and thus she never missed out on visiting the museum whenever she went someplace new.

Naomi was always fond of history. She loved antiques and their unique historical value, and she could sometimes spend an entire day just walking around a museum, admiring the artifacts.

They arrived at the museum after about half an hour. The moment they stepped out of the car, Dylan began to mumble, "I can't believe Scott! How could he have run away and left you alone in this city? You guys should have gone on this museum date together. It would be so romantic to explore this place together! How can he put his work over you? He's already filthy rich; how much

more money does he even need anyway? We're all going to die in the end, so what does he need the money for? Is he going to spend it while he's in heaven?"

Dylan was annoyed at the fact that Scott ditched Naomi at the last minute, but Naomi did not respond. She secretly commended Scott for this; she would much rather spend the day without him than with him.

However, it was one thing for Dylan to complain about Scott in the car, and another thing entirely to do so in public, so Naomi knew she had to speak up.
