Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 190

Chapter 190

[Thank you.]

Scott ignored the message, pretending as though he did not even hear his phone vibrate.

Soon, his phone screen went dark again, just like the pitch-black night sky that surrounded him.

The next morning, Naomi was awoken by her ringtone. She opened her eyelids, sat up in bed, and reached out to grab her phone.

Her phone was on her nightstand, buzzing as her ringtone echoed through the room. She glanced at the caller ID.

Amelia. NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.

Naomi rubbed her eyes and checked the time. It was only 6:50 a.m.

Why was Amelia calling her so early in the morning?

The most likely explanation was that Amelia pulled an all-nighter again, or perhaps she had to get up incredibly early to go on a business trip. Otherwise, she would never call Naomi at such an ungodly hour.

Naomi yawned and picked up the call. "Hello, Amelia."

Amelia could tell instantly from her soft, rather muffled voice that she just woke up. "Did I wake you?"

"More or less." Naomi glanced out the window. Someone drew the curtains while she was asleep, so there was only a faint glow of the sun outside that seeped into the room between the cracks.

All of a sudden, something occurred to her, and she turned to glance at the couch.

It was empty and perfectly made up. No one slept there the night before, and it was left exactly how she remembered it.

Naomi let out a sigh of relief. It would appear that Scott did not return the night before. She did not remember him returning since he left to take the call.

However…

Naomi glanced at the walk-in closet. The doors were wide open, and no one was inside. She decided to check the bathroom as well, but there was nothing.

Naomi was finally relieved after confirming that Scott was indeed gone. She could not let Amelia know about her relationship with Scott now, nor could she let Amelia find out she sprained her foot, lest she tell Charles.

"I've been so busy recently that I haven't had time to catch up with you. I decided to give you a call since I'll be off on a business trip soon. I wanted to know how things are going with Charles. How are you guys now? Where are the two of you in your relationship? Did Charles confess his feelings yet?" Amelia was interrogated as she threw items into her suitcase. This was followed closely by the sound of her zipping her suitcase shut.

Naomi was rather exasperated by this. She could not believe this was what Amelia called her about!

"What time did you sleep last night?" Naomi changed the topic in hopes it would distract Amelia.

"About 2 a.m. I think I slept two hours at most," Amelia replied, but soon she realized her mistake and snapped, "Hey, don't try to change the subject! Do you think you can fool me?"

Naomi sighed. "I don't."

"Well, why aren't you answering my question? Not only are you dodging my question but you're even trying to change the subject. What are you trying to hide from me?"

Naomi had no choice but to confess, "I've been very busy recently, and Charles has just recently started work too. He's been busy as well, so we both decided not to rush things and instead take it slow."

"Tsk, tsk," Amelia snickered. "Take things slow? You and Scott got married not long after knowing each other. Why have you decided to take things slow this time around? Be honest with me, Naomi. Are you still hung up over Scott?"
