Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 191

Chapter 191

Naomi was so stunned by this that she could not even utter a response.

Hung up over Scott?

What was that supposed to mean? The two of them already agreed to go their separate ways in peace, so what did Amelia mean by suggesting she was hung up over Scott?

Naomi did not think that was what she was doing at all.

Amelia's chest tightened when she heard Naomi's silence. "Is it true? You haven't moved on from Scott? Come on, Naomi! Do you know how devastated Charles would be? You gave him hope and then took it away from him. do you know how cruel that is?"

Naomi was exasperated. "Of course not. I was just surprised because I didn't think you'd suggest something like that."

"Really?" Amelia was relieved to hear this, but she did not let her guard down just yet. "Don't lie to me, Naomi. I'm your best friend. You can't lie to your best friend without repercussions!"

Naomi was speechless. She knew she had to find a way to change the subject, otherwise, Amelia would spend the rest of the conversation bickering about this.

Naomi glanced out the window and asked, "What time is your flight?"

Amelia froze when she heard this, then immediately glanced at the time. "Damn it. I need to leave soon. I'll call you again when I'm in the car. Bye!" This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

With that, she hung up before Naomi could even respond.

Naomi was rather perplexed, and at the same time, amused by this. She checked the time once more, then put her phone aside and decided to get out of bed. She knew she could not possibly get back to sleep after being woken up like this, so she wanted to get started on her day. She would get herself ready, have some breakfast, then call the nurse over to help her.

Naomi got out of bed and opened the curtains, but all of a sudden, she heard a click from behind her.

Naomi turned around.

The door slid open, and Scott stepped into the room, wearing the shirt and trousers he wore the night before. He was clutching his phone in his hand. He froze in his steps when he saw Naomi, as though surprised she would be up at this hour.

Naomi, too, was equally surprised to see him. Her jaw dropped slightly, and she did not know how to react. She never expected him to return at all, much less at this hour.

Scott gazed at her from across the room. She was standing next to the window, dressed in her pajamas from the night before. Her long hair spilled down her back, tousled from her sleep, but her eyes were as bright as he remembered. She seemed to have gotten a good night's sleep; her skin was glowing and rosy.

Scott stared at her for a long time, and finally, his gaze landed on her hand, which was still poised on the curtains. Finally, he stepped into the room, closed the door behind him, and strode toward her.

Naomi's eyelashes quivered for a moment as she watched him approach. He seemed to have returned from outside, and judging from the wrinkles in his shirt, he did not appear to have gotten much sleep at all.

It would appear that he left to take care of important business.

Naomi and Scott knew each other for so long that she could tell what was happening with him.
