Richest Mogul 1271
Chapter 1271
After saying that, Rosa waited for Ned’s response, but he remained silent for a long moment. When she turned to look at him, she found him gazing thoughtfully at her with his deep–set eyes. Her heart skipped a beat.
Suddenly, she realized how impulsive her words and actions had been. They seemed rather unreasonable.
“I’m not feeling well, so I’m going to rest for a bit. Ned, I can handle things here at the hospital, so you don’t have to worry,” Rosa quickly said, adopting a submissive tone.
Ned nodded as he processed her words. Over the past two to three years, he had always been like this–cold and distant, speaking as little as possible. However, at that moment, Rosa felt something was off, but she couldn’t show it before him.
Skylar arrived at Paul’s ward only to find him sound asleep. Howard gestured for her to step out of the ward, and they both went into the hallway.
“Mr. Ziegler’s condition is worse than I expected. He sometimes experiences memory confusion. Just before he fell asleep, he said that if Mr. Martin called, he wanted to be woken up,”
“Howard said, his eyes still red.
Skylar nodded. “Dr. Maldonado also told me his situation requires gradual recovery, and we can’t rush it. I’ll be in Murida handling his affairs during this time. You and Mr. Lourdes can visit whenever you have time.”
Howard agreed with a nod. “We’ll come to the hospital whenever we can. The Mr. Ziegler I know isn’t someone who easily gets knocked down. He will pull through this. Gene also said that familiar and stable surroundings would help him recover quickly.”
Just then, Jacky came out of the ward and looked at the two of them. “Mr. Ziegler is sleeping soundly. He probably won’t wake up for another hour or two. I have a tricky case at the law
firm that requires my attention, but I’ll come back when I have time in the next couple of days.

“Okay, go ahead,” Skylar replied.
Howard checked the time. “I have a meeting with a friend, a psychologist, in an hour. I want to discuss some things with him.”
After they both left, Skylar returned to the ward.
Skylar sat down on the nearby couch. It was then that she noticed several unread WhatsApp messages on her phone. After opening the messages, she realized they were all from Steven.
Steven was inquiring about Paul’s condition. She glanced up at the sleeping Paul and typed

back. “He’s already been admitted to the hospital His condition is similar to when he was still in Murida. If he takes good care of himself, he should recover soon.” Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
After sending the message, she was about to stand up from the couch when she suddenly heard a frantic whisper. “Ned… don’t die. We will escape.”
Paul’s repeated calls to Ned surprised Skylar, but she couldn’t hear him clearly.
As she listened closely, disbelief washed over her as she looked at Paul. She wondered if Paul was calling for Ned.
He must be, but she couldn’t comprehend how he could know him. She thought that she had misheard.
After being locked in that underground factory for three years, Paul, who had had no contact with the outside world during that time, somehow knew about Ned.
A wave of confusion washed over her, filling her mind with questions.
Paul was not sleeping soundly. He seemed to be plagued by nightmares, struggling to break free but unable to do so. His scared face was tightly contorted in distress.
The clarity of his panic and helplessness was almost palpable.
