Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 186

Chapter 186

Andre went to his study. Picking up his phone, Andre asked, "Do we have the comparison results yet?"

"Our experts have analyzed the skull. Molly's picture has a 60% similarity with the current Jade."

"Any luck with the surveillance footage?"

"No dice. Jade was wearing a sweater with huge sleeves that day, it covered up any marks on her

arms. The spot you mentioned, it's tough to find on the cameras."

Andre brooded for a bit in his office. Noah suggested, "Mr. Cedillo, maybe your wife could take a look at

the bite mark? She and Jade are tight."

"If we're not a hundred percent sure, I can't get Mia involved. She and Jade are close, if she's

discovered, it could cause a rift in their friendship."

Risking his wife's friendship over an uncertain matter, and possibly pissing off her friend's family was

the last thing Andre wanted. If somebody suddenly told you that you might not be your parents'

biological child, anyone would be pissed. Only when he was absolutely certain would he tell Mia.

"I remember the Byrne family's parents' blood types. One is type A, the other is type AB. Chad's blood

type is also A."

Noah didn't get Andre's point.

Andre said, "Molly's blood type is O."

Noah got it.

"But, Mr. Cedillo, we can't get to Jade. Our surveillance shows her brother picks her up and drops her

off every day. She's at school, she's with your wife all day, even when they go to the bathroom."

Noah couldn't quite understand girls' friendships. Why did they have to go to the grocery store

together? Or even the bathroom? Can't they survive being apart?

And even if Ms. Mia didn't need to go to the bathroom, she'd rather wait outside the door just to

accompany her friend. Girls' friendships, so weird. Guys just didn't get it.

Since Ms. Mia was always around, and Noah had seen videos of her matches, he didn't dare to offend

her. So, they could only observe from afar.

After school, because Chad was a cop, they also didn't dare to get too close.

Andre said, "The school admission test includes a physical exam form, which should record the blood

type. Jade's blood type would have been recorded when she was born. All you need to do is compare

the two."

Noah had an epiphany. Mr. Cedillo was so smart, even remembering details like the school physical

exam.

"Got it, I'll investigate right away."

Noah left.

Andre put down the phone, opened the photo album, and looked at Jade's picture. The more he

looked, the more he thought the five-year-old Jade looked different from the Jade now. The more he

thought about it, the more he believed Jade was his real sister.

Leo was leveling up in a game in his bedroom. Mia was also on her phone playing with him in his room.

"I'm so glad we didn't teach dad to play League of Legends, otherwise we'd have to play with him all

the time when we're bored."

Leo, a game enthusiast, said, "We can't teach him all the games, he's old, knowing how to play Candy

Crush and cards is enough. You taught him to play PUBG, and he's been dying all the time in the game

using my account. One time, he even ran over a teammate while driving! I had to apologize to that guy

for ages."

Mia laughed, "How many levels did you drop then?"

"Even if I drop more levels, I'm still higher than you."

As they were chatting, Andre knocked on the door, "Mia, you've played enough, time to shower and

sleep."

"Oh okay, honey, wait for me a bit, I'm about to win."

Mia continued to play with Leo, "I'll teach dad to play Candy Crush tomorrow."

"Yeah right, these skill-based games are too hard for old folks."

After winning a round, Mia packed up her phone and left.

In the bedroom, Andre just came out of the shower, slightly disgruntled, "Don't always play with Leo.

You're my wife. If people didn't know, they might mistake you for his girlfriend.”

Mia said, "I went to ask Leo to help me level up in the game. I couldn't do it myself, and Leo's a top

player."

Andre scoffed, "Boys shouldn't just play games. They should study."

"Honey, that's not entirely fair. During exams Jade and I both copy from Leo."

Andre's jealousy started to kick in, "Are you praising him now?"

Mia chuckled, hugging her husband's waist, "Not at all, I'm just using him. Using him to level up in the

game, using him to get answers during exams. This way, I don't have to study or spend time figuring

out the game. I can spend more time dating my husband."

Mia's words always had a way of cleverly sidestepping the issue. Andre was moved by her words.

In his ears, his lovely wife's words had only one meaning: I don't study, and I don't work hard, all

because I want to spend more time with you.

Andre asked, "What game are you playing?"

"League of Legends." Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

"Alright, don't play with him anymore, I'll play with you."

Her high and mighty husband, actually willing to play such a pedestrian game?

"I'll only play with you, so don't find anyone else."

Mia nodded like a pecking chicken, "Okay! But, honey, do you know how to play?"

"...Give me a day, I can learn."

Mia was shocked again. Her husband, who didn't know anything, actually going to carry her in the

game? Was he expecting her to carry him?

Afterwards, Andre really did learn the game in a day. From then on, every night, the couple would be in

bed, Mia's head resting on her husband's leg, phone in hand, and her husband would carry her in the

game.

But, this came with a "price" for her. Mia often found herself in mixed emotions, the "price" left her

exhausted, but that was a story for another day.

The next morning, Andre offered to take his lovely wife to school.

Mia asked, "Why?"

"Does your hubby need a reason to give you a lift?"

Mia pouted. Although she might have seemed a bit silly when she was in love, under normal

circumstances, she was quite smart. Was her man planning to see Jade?

"Honey, do you have some ulterior motive, or are you interested in someone else?"

Andre, "Who else?"

Andre was always a step ahead of Mia in terms of intelligence. He knew his wife was talking about

Jade, but he chose to play dumb and shot back with a question. This way, his wife wouldn't give him a

hard time.

Mia refused his offer to drive her.

"Since the start of school, I haven't had a chance to drop you off. I'd like to meet your school's

executives."

"No need, the biggest executive in the school is sitting right next to you."

Andre had backed himself into a corner.

In the morning, he didn't manage to drive her. But in the afternoon, he successfully picked her up.

At the classroom door, the sight of the man outside the window took everyone by surprise.

Everyone urged Mia to look outside. She turned to see a man outside, softly smiling at her.

Jade joked around, "Whenever you see a man, your eyes narrow into slits with a smile."

"Who said my eyes are a slit? I can see clearly, my eyes are narrowed to a thread."
