Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 187

Chapter 187

School just let out, and Mia immediately tossed all her things aside, dashing out to greet her husband.

"Babe, I told you not to drop me off this morning, and now you're here to pick me up? Missing me

much?"

Andre had caught on to Mia's way of sweet-talking and was now using it on her. "I couldn't stop thinking

about you at work. I was so distracted during meetings, so I had to come early to pick you up."

Mia was all smiles but still scolded her husband, "You can't do that, you need to focus on your work or

your company will go bankrupt because you're always thinking about me."

Andre asked her, "Did you just run out without packing your books?"

"Yep, Jade and Leo will help me."

Just then, Jade and Leo came out carrying a heap of books. Andre went to take the books, but Mia

beat him to it. His hand awkwardly retracted mid-air.

He glanced at Jade's arm and casually asked, "Do you have any scars on your arm?"

Mia immediately went on alert, her smile fading as she looked at her husband and asked, "Darling?"

Andre replied, "Just asking."

From her husband's words and actions, she understood his meaning. Her smile disappeared, her face

turning serious. Her usually vibrant face now turned stern.

Jade sensed something was off, and awkwardly laughed, "No."

Mia pointed to her own arm, jealously saying, "You never ask me about scars."

Andre replied, "I see your arms and legs every day, I know better than anyone if you have any scars."

Silence fell upon everyone present. Mr. Cedillo's words always left room for imagination. Mia blushed,

thinking her husband's words were too direct and might give her friends the wrong impression. Yet, she

did indeed expose her arms and legs in front of her husband every night. She wanted to object, but

was at a loss of words.

Soon after, Chad arrived.

Seeing Andre, he immediately went to his sister Jade's side, "Mr. Cedillo is here to pick up Mia?"

Andre answered, "Yes, are you here to pick up your sister? You're such a responsible brother, picking

her up and dropping her off every day. Don't your police station have any work?"

Chad laughed, "I'm used to driving her around. Havenbrook has been quiet lately, no security issues."

He didn't say more, holding Jade's hand and leaving.

Andre glanced at his wife beside him, her eyes almost boring a hole through him. He explained, "I

really am here to pick you up."

Mia retorted, "Pfft, Andre, you're getting sneakier, using your own wife."

With that, she turned and followed Leo, planning to hitch a ride with him. Leo nervously said, "Mia,

don't come with me! I don't want to take the risk."

Mia grabbed Leo's sleeve, dragging him along, not giving him a chance to refuse.

Andre didn't say much, catching up with them, grabbing his wife's arm, bending down and lifting his

cute wife up in public.

Mia was caught off guard, not expecting to be lifted up!

There were many classmates sneakily watching. After Andre was lifting his wife, he was all over the

school forum.

"Andre!"

"Call me darling."

"Jerk."

"Even if I'm a jerk, I'm still your man."

Completely unfazed by the surrounding gazes, Andre put his fussy cute wife into the passenger seat,

buckling her seatbelt for her. "I really am here to pick you up."

"Hmph~" Mia turned her head away in a huff.

Andre leaned in, gently kissing her cheek. Then he walked to the driver's side, driving off with Mia.

On the other hand, on the way back to Evergreen Haven.

Chad's brow was still furrowed, "Jade, Mia's been coming to our house to look at photo albums lately,

and her husband came to school to see you, what's going on?"

"Huh? Oh that, Mia wanted to see my childhood photos, so I figured why not.. But her husband wasn't

looking for me, he was picking up Mia. They're so lovey-dovey, I heard they feel uncomfortable if they

don't kiss every day."

Chad said, "…Grandpa's health isn't good, he and grandma will be staying at our house soon. Don't

invite friends over and disturb them. And that Andre, his status and position are special. I can't tell what

he's thinking. Even if he's picking up Mia, keep your distance, try not to interact with them. After all,

he's Mia's husband, a stranger to you."

"I know, Chad, you don't need to tell me."

"Right."

Chad glanced at Jade's lower left arm while driving, and didn't say anything more.

Andre brought his wife to his office. He worked in his study, and Mia played games on the sofa. He

walked over, when he noticed his wife ignoring him.

Andre picked up two of his wife's textbooks from the table, starting to flip through them.

Somewhere in the book it read, "…Andre once mentioned in an interview, we have entered the era of

the internet, big data…"

Andre noticed someone had drawn a little bird pecking at his name. Furthermore, "wife" was added

after his name. A sentence connected would be, "Andre's wife once mentioned in an interview…"

His wife?

Andre turned his head, looking affectionately at his wife. She was too playful.

While playing games, she looked intense, her fingers rapidly tapping on the screen. Andre didn't disturb

her, continuing to read the information about him.

"Andre leads Cedillo Inc. at the forefront of the era, economic reform…"

Mia drew a box around Andre's name and annotated it, "Clearly a human, but speaks in gibberish."

She didn't understand the meaning of that sentence, so she blamed her lack of understanding on her Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.

husband's profound words.

Andre chuckled, his pearly white teeth showing; it was rare for something to make him this happy. But

Mia didn't even say anything. A small action of hers was enough to make him laugh.

Andre thought to himself, it seemed he should make my words easier to understand in the future, after

all his wife was still a student, she might blame him if she doesn't understand.

When he tried to flip to the back of the book, Mia quickly shut it and snatched it away. "Why are you

snooping in my book?"

Andre was in a good mood, he said to his wife, "I just wanna see if you've been paying attention in

class."

Mia stashed the book under her, keeping it out of her husband's sight.

Andre raised an eyebrow in confusion, "What's up?"

"Nothing." Mia's voice was shaky, she dared not let her husband see the back of the book. The content

in the front of the book was fine, but if he saw the back, where she had doodled his face into a pig, she

didn't know if he would flip his lid.

"Let me see the rest."

"There's no more. You don't need to look."

Seeing his wife's evasiveness, Andre figured there must be some issue with the back, there must be

some kind of "surprise" waiting to shock him.
