Chapter 245
Chapter 245
The police station received a call from a familiar voice.
"May I ask who's calling?"
"It's me, Molly," she answered.
"Aren't you Jade?" The operator recognized her voice immediately.
"Yes, that's me. I need to report a crime. Someone is illegally detaining my nephew. It's too complicated
to explain over the phone. I'm heading to the police station right now."
The operator hung up and went to find Chad.
"Officer Chad, since when do you have a son? And he's been kidnapped?"
Chad was speechless. "I'm not even married, where would I get a son from?"
The operator relayed Molly's call to Chad. "Isn't your son her nephew?"
Chad was stunned upon hearing this. "My family situation is complicated. When will she be here?"
"She said she'll be here as soon as she changes her clothes."
Half an hour later, Molly showed up at the police station.
"Jade, are you here to see your brother again?"
"No, I'm here to report a crime."
Chad called her from his office door. "Come in."
"No way. I'm here to file a report, we need to keep our distance."
Suddenly, she was very aware of the rules. As Chad came out of his office to approach her, she
dodged him. "We need to keep our distance. I don't want people to say that I'm abusing my privileges
because my brother is the chief of police."
Chad swallowed his anger and said, "You can report to me. No one will accuse you of abusing your
privileges."
Molly looked at him suspiciously, tapped on Donnie's desk, and asked him, "If I report to Chad, no one
will accuse me, right?"
Donnie nodded. He didn't dare to say much to Chad's sister these days.
Molly felt relieved and immediately ran over to Chad, acting cutely. "Chad, help me catch a bad guy."
"You look more like a troublemaker to me."
Molly was dragged back to Chad's office again. The slamming door could tell how angry Officer Chad Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.
was.
People outside started to whisper. "I'm not having a daughter."
"Why not? Daughters are adorable."
Pointing at Chad's office, a police officer said, "Is she adorable? She's torturing Officer Chad more than
the media does."
Whenever Chad solved a case, the media would come for interviews, wanting to know the whole
process. Chad found dealing with the media the most troublesome and often let his apprentices handle
it. However, his sister was even more of a headache.
"Lucky the chief is young and can tolerate her. If he were her father, he would probably be sick by now."
Suddenly, Chad's loud reprimand could be heard from inside the office. "Say that one more time!"
People outside gathered together, curiously asked. "What did Jade say this time?"
"I don't know, and I wouldn't dare to eavesdrop."
Ten minutes later, Chad came out. He looked at his subordinates. "Let's go. We're heading to the
Marshal Group to make an arrest."
Molly also planned to follow. She had achieved her goal and now it was time to find Chad. "Chad, take
me with you."
This time, Chad didn't hold her hand. He called the forensic expert instead. "I have a job for you. Keep
an eye on Molly. If she dares to leave the station, take her to the autopsy room."
"What am I supposed to do with her in the autopsy room?" The forensic expert was confused.
Molly stared at Chad, wondering why he wanted her in the autopsy room.
Chad said, "Perform an autopsy."
Molly was speechless. Oops, she had angered her brother again.
Chad and his team got in the car and drove to the Marshal Group to arrest the perpetrator.
Not many people were left in the police station.
Molly found a place to sit. The curious officers all gathered in front of her. "Did you upset your brother
again?"
Molly nodded. "Yes, he almost hit me, but he couldn't bring himself to do it."
Before anyone could ask her why she upset Chad, she suddenly stood up from the bench.
The forensic expert also stood up immediately. "Where are you going?"
"...I'm thirsty, I'm going to get some water. Don't worry, I won't leave. I don't want to go to your autopsy
room."
Molly got a cup of water and then took out her phone to update her friend on the situation.
"Mia, my brother went to make an arrest."
"Your brother is making an arrest?"
"I called the police."
"You called the police?"
"Mia, stop mimicking me. I heard Leo got arrested. I'm furious. I won't let Brian get away with this. He
restricted Leo's freedom. As an aunt, I must report this."
"Good job."
"I'm currently restricted by my brother from going out. He won't let me leave. What should I do?"
"Don't worry, I've got your back." Mia got up from her bed where she was boredly reading a magazine
waiting for her husband to come home.
She decided to take action after Molly's call, running to Leo's room after changing her clothes. "Leo,
come with me."
"What are you up to?"
Seeing Mia's mischievous smile, he had a bad feeling.
Half an hour later, two people were sitting outside the Marshal Group. The woman was elegant and
charming, with a pair of sunglasses hiding her cunning eyes.
Leo picked up a newspaper from the table. "Mia, do you think Chad will take Brian through the
basement?"
"Don't worry. Chad might not say it, but he spoils Molly the most. He'll definitely take Brian through the
front door to embarrass him as much as possible."
Leo looked around. "Should we tell Andre about what we're doing?"
"Why should we? Let's surprise him."
"I have a feeling we're going to cause trouble for Andre."
"That's not necessarily true. Andre says he's lucky to have me. Even if I cause him trouble, he'll still
compliment me with a smile."
"Just because Andre favors you, you do whatever you want."
Mia kicked him. "Shut up."
Soon Brian was led out of the company by Chad.
The girl in sunglasses immediately took out her phone and started recording.
Both Brian and Chad noticed the person recording the video. Brian turned his head and saw Mia. He
pointed his finger at her and said. "Put down your phone. No pictures allowed."
Mia was laughing while she kept on filming, even taking the time to zoom in the frame.
Chad recognized his own buddy. Without much thinking, he realized that even though their colleague at
the station was trapped, she still had two assistants out there, each one a tough nut to crack.
Chad escorted Brian into the police car. Mia followed them like a paparazzi, capturing his every move
as he entered the car.
Brian's face turned sour, his jaw trembling, wishing he could tear Mia to pieces. After he got in the car,
Mia slid her sunglasses down to the bridge of her nose, looked at him and laughed, "Brian, I'm not
done yet."
