would have the inside scoop.

Coleen was cunning. She neither admitted to knowing nothing nor claimed to know everything, but

skillfully sidestepped the matter. Once home, she asked her son.

Chad said, "You should be asking your daughter."

"Daughter?" Coleen looked at Molly, who was focused on her meal.

Her daughter was acting as if she had gone invisible.

"Molly, your mom is talking to you," Mr. Kendrick called out to his daughter.

Molly looked up and said, "Mom?"

"Your brother arrested Brian. What's that got to do with you?"

"Yes, I asked my brother to arrest him."

Coleen and Mr. Kendrick exchanged glances.

Coleen put down her utensils and said sternly, "Molly, look me in the eyes and tell me, what's going

on?"
