Chapter 276
Chapter 276
Andre gave a sarcastic chuckle, "You're pretty slick, huh? Already calling other guys 'bro'?"
Mia glanced at the contact labeled "Bro" on her phone and said, "Darling, his name is Michael."
"He's a guy." Andre said.
Mia stopped trying to appease her friend and quickly turned around, taking her husband's hand,
"Darling, he's just a friend I made recently."
"Already calling a guy you just met 'bro', must've made quite an impression." Andre said.
Mia hurried to calm her jealous husband, "No, no, don't be mad. I'll explain everything when we get
home tonight, okay?"
She gently patted her husband's chest.
"I'm not mad." This was his last stand.
Mia played along to save his pride, "Mhm, my bad. You're not mad."
Everyone in the living room watched Mia placate Andre, which was quite a spectacle.
Andre glanced around. He had a hunch that no one believed he wasn't mad.
He cleared his throat awkwardly, dropping the hand that was on his chest, "Stop that, I'm about to burst
into laughter." Still, Andre remembered there was a new "bro" in his wife's contacts.
After dinner, Mia was dragged by her husband back to their room, "Come here, I need to talk to you."
Mia said, "Can it wait? I'm supposed to play with Molly and Leo soon."
It was their first time spending Christmas together as family members, and they planned to pull an all-
nighter. But plans could be shattered in an instant, and Mia was whisked away.
As she was being pulled upstairs, she told them, "Wait for me! I'll come down after we finish talking."
Molly sat with her nephew, watching their friend disappear. "Leo, I bet a dollar that Mia won't be coming
down tonight."
Leo said, "I bet a hundred dollars, Mia definitely won't be coming down."
They exchanged glances, nodding in agreement. Because, it was already past eight o'clock.
Mia was pulled into the room, "Darling, what is it that you want to talk about? Make it quick, I still want
to play."
Andre locked the bedroom door. Mia watched, feeling a bit uneasy, "It's Christmas, darling. Let's not
fight."
Andre turned around and said, "About this 'bro' of yours, start explaining."
Mia raised an eyebrow, oh, so he was still mad, huh?
Like a good student, she stood in front of her husband with her hands behind her back, "He's the guy I
hit. I visited him in the hospital. I thought he was a woman at first. We had a nice chat, so we
exchanged contact information, hoping we could collaborate in the future. Ha-ha."
Andre remembered his wife disappearing for half a day, "You spent half a day meeting a guy? And you
didn't tell me?"
Mia pouted and nodded, "Yes, I initially thought he was a woman, I was afraid that woman would be
jealous of my wonderful husband, and that's why I didn't bring you along. Plus, darling, you wouldn't
believe it. Michael is actually quite interesting."
The first part of Mia's statement eased Andre's jealousy, but the last part rekindled it.
He grabbed Mia by the back of her neck, "Come to bed with me. I'm quite 'interesting' in bed too."
"Hey, darling, no, let's not go to bed just yet. Let me finish. I find him interesting because of his
profession. He's definitely not as interesting as you, nor as handsome or good as you." Mia quickly
tried to save herself.
Andre, indeed, stopped insisting on going to bed.
"You find the profession of dressing up as a ghost interesting? Weren't you the one scared out of your
wits that day? Who was crying for her husband to save her?" Andre was so petty that he couldn't even
tolerate his wife praising another man's profession.
Mia used her sweet kisses to appease her man filled with jealousy, "Darling, I think his profession could
be very useful to me. Think about it, I've been to jail twice. I definitely can't get into fights anymore. But
there are still so many people I can't stand, like Jillian and her family, as well as the people from the
Mastin family. I can't beat them up, but I can still scare them, right? The next time those ungrateful
people make my husband mad, I'll catch them and throw them into the haunted house, I'll have Michael
and his friends scare the hell out of those bastards. This way, I won't have to lift a finger, right? And I
won't get arrested, correct? I'm pretty smart, aren't I?"
Mia looked up at her husband, with an expression that begged for praise.
Andre understood, he corrected his adorable wife's misconceptions, "Firstly, those ungrateful people
wouldn't dare to make me mad. You usually beat them up because they made you mad."
He gently tapped his wife's forehead, "Secondly, you have a lot of schemes in your head, but you never
consider studying. But yes, you deserve some praise."
His gaze moved from her eyes to her nose, lips, neck, collarbone, and chest. Mia sensed her
husband's gaze change, and quickly pushed him away, "It's Christmas, I want to pull an all-nighter with
Leo and Molly."
"You can 'play' all night with me too." Andre said.
Mia tried to escape, but before she could reach the door, she was picked up. Next thing she knew, her
feet hit the ground and she was on the bed. With that, he held down her hands and kissed her lips.
Clothes were discarded, and the two intertwined.
"Darling, I don't want this kind of reward." Mia said.
Andre said, "I'm the one giving the gift. You have to accept whatever I give."
With that, he began to passionately caress the person beneath him. Mia blushed, biting her lip to stop
herself from making any soft moans.
"Tonight, your reward is an all-nighter." Andre said.
As the clock struck midnight, the two people downstairs looked at each other, "We both won the bet."
Upstairs, Andre looked at the beauty beneath him, "Mia, Merry Christmas."
"Not merry, at all." Mia said.
Andre leaned on her, continuing to kiss his wife, "I'm very merry."
Mia had a hunch. At this rate, she would be expecting a baby in ten months.
......
Molly and Leo didn't have anything else to do, so after the celebration, they both went back to their
rooms to sleep.
Michael found that the Christmas message he sent was still unanswered past midnight. He checked
several times, around one o'clock he put down his phone and prepared to sleep. Suddenly, his phone
rang, and he quickly sat up to check the message. But it wasn't the response he was hoping for, he felt
disappointed and put his phone down again.
"Man, she hit me and still gets to enjoy Christmas all merry and bright, while I'm stuck here guarding
the sick room." Michael closed his eyes, remembering the girl who once threw him over her shoulder.
He chuckled and thought to himself, "This girl, she's really got some guts."
The next morning, Mia was all wrapped up in her blanket, refusing to get up.
After getting ready, Andre sat down on the bed and nudged her shoulder, "Mia, it's time to get up."
Mia was clearly not in the mood, saying, "Nah, I don't wanna."
Mia had stayed up late the night before, and clearly, her sleep quota wasn't met yet.
With the cold wind howling outside and the warmth of her blanket cocoon inside, it was the perfect
sleep environment. If she didn't take advantage of this comfort and continue sleeping, she'd be doing it
a disservice. She wasn't getting up, no way. Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
Even if someone were pointing a gun to her head right now, she would still absolutely refuse to get up.
