Chapter 365
Olivia felt utterly exhausted, as if she were floating in the air. The maid’s words seemed elusive to her. She stared at her for a moment, then silently followed with her head towered.
Ana kept staring at her, while Keith wore a grim face.
Tyler arrived at the airport at 2 A.M.
Many journalists were waiting outside to get an update of the news. He left in another car, boarding the plane through the other channel.
The house was in dead silence when he arrived. The maids greeted him, and Linda followed him out of
the car, carrying his bags.
They had been dealing with the news the entire day. Keith remained upstairs, while Ana sat silently on the couch downstairs, not greeting him when he entered.
Naturally, he didn’t look at her either, heading upstairs directly.
Olivia remained in her room, where she had stayed since Maisy sent her upstairs that morning.
Alisa happened to come out when Tyler arrived upstairs. She called out to him, “Sir.”
He said, “You may leave.”
She left, not daring to say more.
Once inside, Tyler shut the door firmly, more forcefully than usual.
Downstairs, the maids listened intently, puzzled by the tension.
Ana watched, still confused by the recent events. Everything felt like a mystery to her.
Olivia sat beside the bed, her earlier fear now replaced by a numbing calmness. Though she should have
greeted Tyler, she remained motionless, her eyes calm.
Tyler approached her. “Is there anything that you’d like to say?”
He had rushed home immediately upon receiving the news, instructing his men to handle the project in
his absence.
His question lacked any trace of anger, delivered in his usual calm demeanor.
However, Olivia replied, “I don’t think I should explain myself.”
“How do you want me to handle the trouble you’ve stirred with Claude?” he asked.
She fell into silence.
Tyler didn’t need her response. “I’ll resolve it once you confirm you didn’t do it,” he spoke calmly, without any questioning tone.
Unexpectedly, Olivia said, “It’s the truth.”
He was taken aback by that. Anger appeared on his face.
“I don’t care how your family or the world perceives me. What you saw on the news is true.”
Tyler grabbed her shoulders, pulling her close as she spoke. She almost hit him.
Already weakened, especially now with her pregnancy, she looked at him after standing still forcefully. Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Was my warning not enough? Must you get yourself involved in that?”
‘I don’t know what to say to show how sorry I am to be stirring trouble to the rightful Mrs. Harris. Now that I’m pregnant, why don’t we use this as an opportunity to divorce? We’ll both be liberated. Can we do that?”
All Olivia desired was freedom. She believed she could escape her confinement through this scandal.
Perhaps it wasn’t such a terrible prospect after all.
