The Ex-Husband's Revenge

Chapter 2908

"Cassius, you!" Dorian paled.

Leon was far too powerful for the Grimstons and the Underwoods to take him down.

On top of that, Cassius decided to back down halfway through and the Grimstons alone could not possibly stand a chance against Leon.

"Dorian, Mister Wolf, and Bucky are both young men and it's normal for them to have conflicts. Our families don’t need to cross Mister Wolf over such a trivial matter! So long as Mister Wolf agrees to it, let’s just make peace and put an end to this!" Cassius said and shot Dorian and discreet look.

It was the jungle's law and given Leon's power, they couldn't avenge Bucky.

Dorian merely insisted on fighting Leon because he was trying to rescue Felton and the Fermers.

However, they were not family or friends with the Fermers, and there was no point in them crossing Leon for Felton's sake.

This would hardly benefit them and the Underwoods refused to do something so foolish.

If Dorian and the others insisted on saving Felton, he would rather cancel the engagement between his granddaughter and Bucky than risk his entire family by crossing Leon.

"But," Receiving a glance from Cassius, Dorian fell into silence.

He was no fool and knew what Carrius meant. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Though he was reluctant to admit defeat, Leon was far too formidable and he could only swallow his pride.

In any case, he could not possibly risk ruining his family just to fight Leon or for the sake of the Fermers.

It would be foolish for him to do so and he immediately made up his mind.

"Mister Wolf, does your promise from earlier still count? If so, we're willing to back down and never go up against you in the future," Dorian said.

Caving, his tone changed from contemptuous to respectful.

"What? No way! Elder Grimston, the Fermers allied with the Grimstons and the Underwoods. I helped your son and grandson before. How can you abandon me?" Felton was shocked.

He thought that he was safe with the Grimstons and the Underwoods' help.

To his bewilderment, Leon's tricks intimidated both Dorian and Carrius, causing them to change their minds and back down.

Once the Grimstons and the Underwoods left, Felton would be at the mercy of Leon and would likely suffer a horrible fate.

Instantly, his blood ran cold and his heart sank into despair.
