"Beautiful! So beautiful!" Rudy caressed the woman's cheek and smirked. "Someone would eventually tell me anyway. Why subject yourself to torture instead?"

The woman slapped his hand away and snapped, "I'll say it again I'd rather die than tell you where she is!"

"Not bad. I like that attitude!"

Rudy smiled and nodded, gesturing for his thugs to lock her up and instructed, "No one is to lay a finger on her without my orders. She's still of use to me."

The thugs smiled in wry amusement-they certainly would not dare.

Returning to his seat and staring at the starry skies above, Rudy sighed. "Where are you?"

Jouri Yelin arrived at Frank's office the next day, handing him a stack of papers. "There is indeed movement in the old town, but you're the target." She would not help Frank since he stubbornly refused to be partners, but Howl Quaid had given express orders to assist Frank before he left. That was the only reason she was here!noveldrama

Jada picked up a photo from the data just then, which was labeled with the name Rudy Himmel.

"Who's this?" Jada asked. "Is he suicidal, trying to lay a trap for Mr. Frankton?"

Jouri laughed. "You don't get it, huh? Why don't you think about it this way-is there a person in existence who doesn't crave the power of the Shagan spiritron vein? It's understandable that Rudy is trying to make a gamble for it, and he's acting like he has a chance of winning. The way I see it, we should storm the old town soon."

Jada nodded Jouri's data was filled with holes, but it made certain things clear.

And Jouri's deduction as to why Shaq disappeared was that Rudy was trying to lure Frank into a trap.

Jouri took out a passport photo of a baby-faced girl-the one delivered to Rudy in a gunny sack just last night.

"A friend from abroad is asking for help to locate her, and we found that Rudy managed to nab her. Please rescue her while you go after him."

"Sure!"

Frank agreed to it without hesitation-rescuing was really no big deal for him.

As evening arrived, Rudy's house in the old town was surrounded.

The thugs inside were trembling as they stood in front of Rudy, asking, "Boss, they're everywhere... shouldn't we be running?"

"I heard that Lugh Frankton is really savage, and they have a numerical advantage. Should we really tough it out against them?"
