The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

“Am nervous ” Diana complained as she stood beside Wayne’s car. They have gotten off the plane twenty four minutes ago and had just arrived at Wayne’s family home at Australia.

“They don’t bite.” Wayne gently told her and all Diana did wad to nod and try to calm down.

Wayne had once told her he wanted her to come and see his parents, to meet them. But she had thought it’s just something many guys will say to make a lady submissive but when Wayne announced to her yesterday after Tihana’s engagement that he had bought their tickets and their flight will be in the morning. Diana had thought it was a joke until Wayne showed it to her. He had gotten the ticket about a week ago and had paid for everything while waiting for the perfect time to announce the news to her.

Surely, she had called Tihana on phone that night to tell her about it and she’s very sure she interrupted something between the two newly engaged couples and the baby was there with them too, cause she could hear him making baby sounds.

“Are you busy Tihana? Could you move away from the baby, I need to talk to you.” Diana had said.

Tihana didn’t fault to notice the excitement on her voice so she turned and look at Aiden who was playing with three months old Collins Aiden Jnr. She smiled and stood up, then made her way into the bathroom and shut the door behind her.

“I’m alone now.. go one and tell me what it is?” Tihana had asked.

“Great! So, take a guess?”

“You forgot I suck at that? C’mon, just tell me what it is and don’t beat around the bush.”

“Well okay! I’ll tell you. I’ll be travelling tomorrow ” Tihana waited for ten seconds before she replied.

“Travelling? To where?! There’s no relative of you that is outside New York and you never told me any plans of yours.”

“You’re right. But Wayne told me just now, that we’re going to Australia tomorrow… To see his parents. He already paid for everything including the flight.”

“Oh My!” Tihana exclaimed happily.

They talked at length afterwards, and it was mostly Diana asking Tihana about how things had went for her when she visited Aiden’s mother for the first time.

But things are different. Cause Aiden’s mother had approached her first before she visited her in her house. And more over, their was no much relative. It’s just the grandfather and his mother whom she both got along with.

But she went on to assure Diana to just be her and not try to be someone else just to impress the family. After All, nothing is greater than playing you!

When Tihana moved back into the bedroom, she find out that Collins was already asleep and was on top of Aiden. She stood there for a while and watched the both of them and then smiled.

She couldn’t believe she made a family of her own.. surely she’s going to give their relationship the best she can.

“What took you so long? Who were you talking to?” Aiden asked, when he noticed her presence. Tihana smiled and move to the bed then sat down.

“Diana. She’s telling me that she’d be travelling out tomorrow with Wayne.”

“To see his family?” Tihana nods and stare at him in surprise.

“You already know?”

“Wayne told me.” Aiden explained briefly and smiled. “He was so happy, I love the way he talks about Diana over and over again and sometimes forget his works.”

“They’re both cute. Should I put Collins away? He’s already asleep.” Tihana said standing up and walking over to take the baby then place him on his cart and patted him.

Wayne encouraged Diana that her family members are nice and he’s not going to let anyone intimidate her. Besides, they’ve been asking him about his love life, so that’s enough reason why he’s confident that nothing will happen..

He takes her hand, just so he could make her not feel alone and he didn’t fail to notice how wet her hands are.

“It’s okay….”

Approaching the door, Wayne proceed to pressing the door bell and just like a flash, the door opened immediately. Revealing a blond tall girl with glasses. She’d about 5’6 feet tall and has a smile on her face.

“Big brother!” She called out and proceed to hug Wayne so tightly that Diana stood aside and just watch them.

“Olivier… Damn, you’ve grown so big.” Wayne commented as he disengaged from the hug.

“What do you expect.” Olivier said and laugh, then she turned to Diana and seem to have just noticed her. Her eyes moved from Wayne to Diana.

“She’s Diana right?” Olivier said in whisper and Wayne nodded.

“Hey, my name is Olivier and I’m 18… Wayne’s only sister and the last baby.” She smiled and when Diana smile back and stretch her hand for a handshake….. Diana had been so surprised when she I stead pulled het into a hug.

“Please come in. Mummy and Father is waiting.”

“What about Damon?”

“Might be in his room. I don’t know ” Olivier replied as she opened the door widely. Leading the way.

“She’s so sweet.” Diana whispered to Wayne who small with ‘i told you so’ look.

“Damon! Wayne is here… Come downstairs quick ” Olivier yelled.

“Mom! Father.” Wayne called excitedly and walk over the dining table to hug his mother first and then, his father.

“My baby.” His mother cried and pulled him in for another hug. “I don’t even remember the last time you visited home, I’ve missed you. Aiden is really taking care you.”

“Ma, it’s not only Aiden…. Diana too.” He points at Diana, who had just stood there and staring at them, waiting for the right moment to greet them. They both seem so into Wayne and she let them be.

“Hi ma, Hi pa.” Diana greeted with a little bow and only Wayne’s father responded.

“Please sit down.” He offered her and Diana nods and sat.

“She’s My girlfriend ma.” Wayne proceed to walk over Diana’s side and place his hand on her shoulder.

“What do you mean, Girlfriend?!” A voice questioned.. everyone in the room recognized the voice including Diana who turned to look at the stairs where the voice was coming from.

And there stood him…. The man she recognized as her once best friend and her first love.

The man she knew his name as Damon!

“Damon Salvatore? ” Diana called out. Trying to be sure he was who she thought he was.

Diana walked down the garden and stood beside Damon who turned to look at her and then smile. Diana returnedvthe smile.

“I didn’t know I was going to see you again. Most especially, I never expect to see you as my younger brother’s girlfriend. ” Damon told her and all she could do was just to breath down.

“I know right. How have you been?”

“Good… You look amazing, so there’s no need asking you how you’re doing. ”

Diana smiled. There was silence between them both ad it seems they both ran out of words. Diana’s mind ran back to all her days with Damon, not only was he her first love.. he was her best friend too.

And it’s surprising that they had both broken up peacefully and had still kept in touch. When Damon got into a new relationship after, Diana was the first he told.

It was ten months later that Diana had to come down to New York with her father that they both lost contact and had never expected to see each other again, at least not like this.

“How’s Lyn? You both still together?”

“Lyn? Ah . No! ” The reply was simple and short and none of them made an attempt to continue the conversation.

“I’m happy for you. I mean, Wayne is perfect and you both… Will definitely make a good couple. I’m proud you’ve come this far”.

“Thank You Damon. It was nice seeing you again. Uhm, I think I need to go back, Wayne might get worried.”

Damon nods, and When Diana turns to leave… Damon had surprised her when he hugged her from behind. Just for a minute and he disengage.

“I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable. But I promised myself to give you one more hug if I ever see you. ”

Diana smile. “It’s fine. I’ll go now.”

Nervously, Diana turns and walk away. Damon stood and watched her. He lost a rare gold but all those years, he had been wishing her nothing but happiness. Guess she might have found the happiness in his own younger brother.
