Chapter 2025
Chapter 2025
After listening to Heinz's words of comfort, Grace had given up on asking Lowell to work.
Although Heinz had said it was all right, Grace was still a little worried.
After all, Lowell looked like he was greatly affected by it, as even his emotions were being stirred.
It was definitely obvious that in the situation, he was indeed very hurt.
After all was said and done, how was he supposed to heal then?
"Go ahead to work." Grace told Heinz, "I'm fine, and I'll pay more careful attention to Lowell as well, but I wouldn't ask him much. So, you won't have to worry."
Seeing that she was actually more relieved, Heinz wasn't as worried anymore.
"There's nothing much to worry about. It's just young people experiencing heartbreak, it's all normal."
"I'm not really worried about that, but it's just... Sigh! Oh right, what kind of girl is she?"
"She's just a girl who is not worth it, and he's not missing out much. I've already talked to Lowell about it." After comforting Grace, he immediately went to work.
Grace then took a walk at home, enjoying some restful time for her and the baby in her womb.
Right at ten o'clock in the morning, Lowell came down from upstairs.
Lowell seemed to have adjusted his mood and was feeling better, with a smile on his face.
Grace was a little shocked to a happy Lowell. It seemed like the talk with Heinz worked. Grace had a heartfelt smile on her face, then she gently spoke to Lowell, "Lowell, do you want to go out for a walk? You've been home for two days and I've never seen you leave the house. Why don't you head out and meet some old friends and classmates, have a little gathering? Everybody will be thrilled to see you."
"I'll just stay here with you, Grace." Lowell didn't want to have a gathering at all.
He thought that there was no need for it. After all, he hadn't returned for the Spring Festival in years. With his sudden return, if he was to have a gathering, there would definitely be a lot of people who wanted to meet him.
Seeing that Lowell did not want to have a gathering with his classmates, she once again was sure that he had yet to walk out of the shadows of his breakup, she then started to worry again.
Grace had thought that if Lowell were to have a gathering with his classmates, he would probably meet some fellow girl classmates. Perhaps if he met friends from the good old days, he might recall the memories of the past when things were more innocent and simple. Also, perhaps some girls that had liked Lowell back in the days would confess their feelings to him as well.
If fate was on their side, it would probably help Lowell walk out of his pain.
As soon as she heard that Lowell wouldn't be heading to the class gathering, Grace couldn't help sighing again. She wanted to say something but she hesitated.
Upon hearing Grace's sigh, Lowell's heart skipped a beat.
He eyed Grace carefully and asked, "Why are you sighing, Grace?"
"It's nothing. It's just that... perhaps you should be more outgoing. You're so young, if you open up yourself more, you could brighten up your mood too." "Grace, my mood is quite brighten up already now.
There's no need to worry about me getting a girlfriend. I'll keep that in mind too. It's just that my fate is not here yet, and I'm in no rush anyway!" Lowell roughly knew that Grace was worried about him, so he tried to comfort her.
"I'm very happy that you're letting things take their course. These things are indeed not to be forced, as it might not have a good outcome if you force it, when it's not fated. When it's fated, you won't be able to run away from it," Grace said.
Speaking as a person who had experienced it, her journey with Heinz back then was a wonderful work of fate as well. Who could ever have that kind of fate and actually meet again?
Therefore, fate was indeed wondrous.
"So, why not head out for a while?" Grace smiled, looking at Lowell with her head slightly tilted, showing a casual stance.
She didn't want Lowell to fell pressured or burdened.
"Grace, I just want to stay home with you," Lowell said. "Do you not like me being home? Why are you trying to drive me out of the house?"
"I don't mean to drive you away. I'm just worried that if you're always at home, you won't meet any girls!" Grace exasperatedly looked at Lowell.
Lowell laughed. That laugh was obviously a lot brighter than before.
Seeing that he was laughing, Grace felt complicated in her heart.
"I have already said it. I really don't need a girlfriend so soon. How many times do you want me to say it?"
"Okay, okay, okay. It's up to you," said Grace, her tone overflowing with pamper and love.
She had no choice. Upon facing that brother of hers, who grew up without parents, she couldn't help but to relate him to herself, so she was still doting on Lowell.
"Thank you." Lowell was obviously relieved as well.
"By the way." Grace suddenly thought of something. She looked at Lowell and asked, "Have you called Gary yet? That boy is living in the mountain. All of them have gone there too. Do you want to head there for a few days?"
"I did call him, but Gary had taken
Celeste out. Ernest and Leah went out as well. I do go, I would
probably be third-wheeling, and it et
will be boring for me." Lowell laughed as he said, "Furthermore, the girls would see me as an elder, and they might feel awkward around me."
"Oh, you're right. Even though the age gap between you all isn't that big, but because of the seniority, they can't disrespect you." "Yeah." Lowell spread his hands wide open, feeling helpless. "I can't be getting it all, so it's better not to bother them."
"I'm just worried that you would be too bored."
"I won't be bored. When Sebastian comes back, he would chat with me. Sometimes that little rascal would tell me about something from abroad." Lowell chuckled and said, "Grace, I think that boy has plans to study abroad too."
"Really?" Grace was really surprised. "I've never expected Sebastian to have plans like that. Has he specifically told you that he has plans to study abroad?"
"Well, no. All we talked about were
about the colleges abroad, and we discussed about which college would be better." Lowell thought about it and said, "I couldn't
understand how he has such

thoughts. Put it the other way, he did think about things in a more mature way than others. I think he would eventually tell you and Heinz about it."
Grace was stunned as she probably didn't think that her own son would have intentions to study abroad.
Once the young ones left for their studies, Heinz and her would probably be very bored, but fortunately, there were still two more babies in her belly.
"What happened to Sylvia?" Lowell hadn't seen his niece since he returned. "Sylvia didn't come back this weekend, Sebastian said she was studying hard and had no time to come back when I asked him about it. Since when has this little girl in our family become so hardworking?"
"That little girl was being motivated by her teacher. Who knows why this little one has suddenly become extremely hardworking." Grace thought about it and smiled.
As they were talking, Sebastian came home.
When he saw his mom and his uncle, Sebastian immediately walked over and greeted them, "Hi, mom. Hi, Uncle Lowell."
"Sebastian, you came at the right time." Grace immediately said to her son, "Didn't I tell you to inform your sister that Uncle Lowell is back? Did you even tell her?"Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.
"I did tell her, mom. However, she said that she will see Uncle Lowell during the winter holidays and she wants to focus on her studies now. She believes Uncle Lowell would understand." Sebastian looked at Lowell and smiled.
Lowell immediately nodded his head. "Yep, it's understandable. I'm just a little curious, when did she become so hardworking?"
Sebastian looked at his mother, it seemed like Grace didn't tell Uncle Lowell about what had happened.
So, Sebastian naturally didn't say much either.
"Who knows what goes in the mind
of this girl? She's always different. Since it would be this way for a while, we'll just let her continue to focus on her studies, as girls can't just stand around doing nothing all the time anyway." Grace continued on as she looked at Sebastian and Lowell, then she took the. opportunity and lectured, 'If you boys are getting girlfriends next time, make sure to get the smart ones. Don't ever get those who are brainless, it'd only bring trouble."
Wr
"Thanks for the reminder, mom. However, I think that these words are more suitable for Uncle Lowell, as I'm not even an adult yet." Sebastian had no
intention at all of getting a girlfriend.
Grace burst into laughter, as she was amused by her son's serious look.
Lowell laughed too and nodded sincerely. "Well done, Sebastian. I completely agree with your statement. Boys, right? There's no need to rush in
finding a girlfriend. It's better to excel at career first."
Upon hearing that, Sebastian had a dark glint in
his eyes. He looked at Lowell and raised his eyebrows slightly. "Why does Uncle Lowell sound like someone who has experienced everything? Uncle Lowell, have you encountered some kind of heartbreak and became disappointed in women?"
