All the Killians had been brought here, so it was meaningless for Chad to return home alone. The inevitable was bound to happen.

Bernard approached Hera after the Killians were brought into different interrogation rooms. The icy demeanor he exuded earlier disappeared instantly.

"I planned on bringing you here once everything here was ready. I don't know which fool woke you up. Are you tired?" Bernard gently stroked Hera's hair as adoration glistened in his eyes.

Hera was somewhat speechless. Bernard already said "fool", indicating that he knew who tipped her off. He might as well spell out Xavier's name.

"Don't you want to know the truth?" Bernard lifted Hera's chin.

Hera narrowed her eyes. "Haven't you been forbidding me from continuing my

investigation?"

"I only said I wouldn't let you continue digging deeper, but I never said that I wouldn't carry out my own investigation," Bernard remarked.

The Killian family had hurt Hera too much. Bernard suddenly realized that keeping this matter a secret for Lucius wasn't worth it.

Hera suddenly felt as if her heart was overflowing. She reached out to hold his hand and said with a smile, "I like this present very much."

Bernard grinned. "Let's go. Come with me." While speaking, he held her hand as they walked into a control room.

The workers had already connected the interrogation rooms' surveillance cameras to the control room, allowing them to observe the situation in each interrogation room.
