Your Guise Is Slipping, Miss Pearl

Chapter 1326

Chapter 1326

"Did she promise to give me the cure?" Richard asked.

The assistant looked surprised and shook his head. "No, she didn't agree to give it to you when she left."

"So this isn't a trade, just a scam?" As he said this, Richard's eyes showed a cold fury.

Francis, who had worked with him for years, knew exactly what this meant. "You mean there's no cure, and she didn't poison Miss Pearl. It's just her way to escape?"

Richard smirked. "Exactly."

"So you're not going to let her go, are you?" Francis knew that Richard's desire for revenge was strong, just like Pearl's. He had no intention of letting Joy escape, and he planned to make her suffer for her actions.

Richard nodded and then chuckled. "Only someone who doesn't care about their life would dare to cross me."Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.

Joy sat in the car, proud of her daring act. If she hadn't spoken up, she could have ended up like Bliss.

She understood Richard well enough to know that he cherished his wife as much as his own life. Attacking Pearl would have been a fatal mistake, but Joy was smart enough to avoid that fate.

Relieved, Joy didn't notice that the landscape outside was unfamiliar.

Suddenly, the car stopped abruptly, throwing Joy forward against the back of the front seat. She blurted out, "Where did you learn to drive? Why didn't you warn me you were stopping?

The driver remained silent.

Realizing something was wrong, Joy looked outside and saw they were on an abandoned lot, not where she had directed. "I told you to head south of the city. Why are we here?"

Fearing the worst, Joy tried to open the door but found it locked, along with the windows.

She searched for anything to defend herself, but the driver was faster. He turned around and stabbed her in the heart.

Before she could react, blood soaked her shirt.

As her vision blurred from the pain, the driver said coldly, "I'm sorry, but you've harmed our boss's wife. You were too bold."

He felt no remorse as he watched her struggle. In his view, she deserved to die for trying to

harm a pregnant woman and her child.
