Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1368

"Jackson, you're taking care of this?" Adam's mouth twitched a bit. He had really hoped Fiona would be the one to do it. Her hands were gentle and her touch soft. "What, you have an issue with Jackson helping you out?" Jackson shot him a cold look, already reaching for the first-aid kit and pulling out some gauze and antiseptic. Adam, of course, didn't dare voice his preference, just watched him without blinking. "Alright, Willens, take it easy... Ow!"

He flinched from the sting.

"A grown man like you can't handle a little pain?" Jackson's face stayed impassive, his tone carrying a hint of impatience and mockery. But even as he spoke, his hands moved a bit more gently.

Fiona sat nearby, chin resting in her hand, watching Jackson with a smile in her eyes. Her brother was so effortlessly cool. Everything he did seemed so impressive!

Ten minutes later, Adam wiped the cold sweat from his brow. Jackson had already packed up the first-aid kit.

"Jackson, it's not like I made a move on your girl. Why'd you have to go so hard on me?" Adam grumbled, still aching.

"Put your shirt back on," Jackson replied coolly.

Adam clicked his tongue, deciding it was best not to argue with Jackson. He turned to Fiona, asking, "So, little sis, how long till I'm back on my feet?"

Being stuck in bed every day was driving him crazy. He'd lose his mind before any real harm came to him.

"About five or six days. Just keep the wound dry and take care of it, and there won't be any scar," Fiona replied, still leaning on her hand, sounding a bit tired.

Scars didn't bother him-they added character, after all. But seeing Fiona's earnest expression, he couldn't help but tease, "Who would've thought the girl Jackson brought along would be such a talented young healer." When he'd first seen her at the bar, he figured she was just a party-loving girl.

"So, little sis, what else can you do?" Adam asked, curiosity getting the better of him.

"What do you think I can do?" Fiona tossed the question back at him.

"Oh, plenty!" Adam smacked his thigh. "I've been reading these novels lately, and there's this trope Every girl from the countryside. seems plain at first but turns out

Even if those stories were a bit cheesy, he found them entertaining. Just like his buddy Jackson-another hidden gem from Cedarvale.

Fiona just looked at him, amused. "You've got quite the imagination for a grown man."

"So, are you?" Adam grinned.

Fiona raised an eyebrow, a playful smile on her lips.

Jackson watched them with a cool gaze as they laughed and joked. He shoved the first-aid kit under the bed е a bit too forcefully. But Adam and Fiona didn't notice at all. Adam was too busy teasing Fiona, and Fiona was too worried Adam might Uncover her secrets, so they both ignored Jackson.

Jackson's expression turned even darker.noveldrama

"Adam," he said, his voice like ice.

"Yeah, Jackson? What's up? Just having a chat with little sis here."

"Your wound doesn't hurt anymore, does it?"

"Of course it hurts! How could it not?"

Adam didn't get it at first until he felt a shiver run down his spine. He turned around and found himself face to face with Isaac's icy eyes.
