No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 130

Cedric stepped forward, blocking Frank. His eyebrows were slightly lowered, his expression cold and detached. "You should learn to respect her choices." "What do you know? I'm just worried about her living alone outside. It's only natural for me to be concerned!

"But you, a stranger, being so kind to her-you're the one who seems suspicious!" Frank's expression darkened.

Cedric's eyes remained distant. "She would rather leave with a stranger like me than return to the Liddell family. Don't you think you should reflect on that?" After saying this, he walked toward Alfred's car and sat in the front passenger seat.

Noelle sat in the back. She turned her head and looked at Frank outside. "I can handle it on my own."

"Noelle, I—"

Before Frank could finish his sentence, he suddenly coughed several times, and his hands were covered in blood.

Upon seeing the blood, she pursed her lips. "You shouldn't have drunk alcohol just now."

"Noelle, I really-."

He collapsed in front of the car. Noelle immediately got out of the car. "Frank, are you alright?"

James rushed over, looking very worried. "Ms. Liddell, Mr. Liddell hasn't received treatment at the hospital. He insisted on being discharged when he found out you were going to the branch office. "We couldn't persuade him. His condition is actually quite serious."

Noelle was a little irritated. "He should go back to the hospital for treatment then!"

What did he mean by leaving the hospital for her? She hadn't asked him to do that.

"His temper is hard to handle, Ms. Liddell. Once we get to the hospital, you might also want to talk to him."

James instructed the driver to help Frank into the car. Then, he came back to look at Noelle with a pitiful expression. "Ms. Liddell, let's go to the hospital together."

She stood still, unmoving. "I'm not a doctor. It won't help if I go."

Alfred saw the blood on the ground and couldn't help but speak up. "Why don't we all go check on him?"noveldrama

Noelle nodded. "Sorry for the trouble."

"It's no trouble. We don't have anything else to do. Let's go together."

Alfred could tell she was hesitating. After all, Frank was her brother. If his condition was serious, she should at least check on him.

Once she got in the car, she remained silent.

Cedric turned to look at her. "Don't feel guilty. His illness isn't your fault."

"I know. I'll just go and check. Then, I'll leave," she said, feeling conflicted and frustrated.

Alfred glanced at the rearview

mirror. "Nelly, even though he's your brother, don't forgive him too easily. What they did to you in the past can't be brushed aside."

"I know. I won't go back on it." Noelle was very clear in her heart that she wouldn't forgive them as it was a different matter. When the car arrived at the hospital, Frank was taken for an examination. The attending doctor sighed when he saw Noelle.

"He didn't receive treatment last time and discharged himself early. Now he's drinking again-this isn't a good sign. If this continues, he'll end up with stomach cancer sooner or later."

Noelle looked at the scans in front of her. In her past life, although Frank had stomach issues, he had taken good care of himself, and it never worsened to this extent.

As she left the office, she saw Cedric standing outside waiting. She walked over. "Where's Alfred?"

"He went to the bathroom. What did the doctor say?"

"The doctor said he needs treatment and has to take medicine properly, or his condition will worsen into stomach cancer."

Noelle's mood was affected by this news.

Cedric knew she was a kind person, or she wouldn't have come to the hospital. He hesitated for a moment. "What are you planning to do?"

"I don't know." She looked up at him. "You already have a girlfriend so soon?"
