Chapter 199
Chapter 199
Mia playfully snuggled up to her husband, "If I can't, I'll learn. They're all my guinea pigs."
Jade and Chad had left.
As Andre planned to take his wife away, Mia stopped him, "Wait, I need to buy something for your dad."
Andre took his wife's hand and strolled around the campus with her. Then they headed to the place that
sold Surströmming.
A strong stench hit their nostrils. Andre frowned, he couldn't believe his wife wanted to buy such a
smelly thing and put it in his car.
"Sir, I would like to buy a can of Surströmming." Mia paid with a smile on her face.
Andre's mood sank a bit.
"Mia, this smell is too strong." Andre said.
"No, no, it's very delicious when you eat it." Mia said.
She didn't notice her husband had already covered his nose. How did he end up marrying a woman
with such a unique taste?
Regardless of his disapproval, he couldn't dampen his wife's enthusiasm and she took the can of
Surströmming into the car.
The car was filled with a strong sour smell. He drove with one hand, opened the window with the other,
held his nose with his left index finger, and refused to breathe.
"Darling, can't you stand the smell?" Mia looked at her suffering husband and seemed to have a new
prank in mind.
"Do you know, I love eating Surströmming. Just think about it, every time you kiss me, my mouth is full
of the taste of Surströmming, burp…" Mia said.
"Stop talking!" Andre couldn't stand it anymore. His wife's mouth should be sweet, why, why would she
eat Surströmming!!
Mia successfully made her husband feel disgusted. She pouted at her husband who was driving,
"Darling, before you came, I ate durian cake and Surströmming. Do you dare to kiss me today?"
"Brush your teeth when we get home." Andre said.
"Nah." Mia said.
Andre said, "I'll hold you down in the bathroom and wash you from head to toe."
Mia happily swung her legs in her husband's car.
"Tomorrow is Saturday. If you're free, let’s visit the Byrne family." Mia said.
Andre looked at the girl sitting in the passenger seat; she really touched him deeply. Maybe, this girl
was really arranged by the heavens.
When they got home, Mia took the can of Surströmming and entered the door. The surrounding
servants automatically avoided her.
Naomi also covered her nose, "Mia, what did you buy, why does it smell so bad?"
Mia said, "I brought back a school snack for dad, Surströmming."
Hansen also covered his nose, "I'm not eating that."
Mia said, "You'll regret it."
Five minutes later.
Hansen was sitting in the dining room eating Surströmming.
"Mia, you're a great daughter-in-law." Hansen said.
Mia said, "Dad, didn't you say you weren't going to eat it?"
"You always say things I don't want to hear." Hansen wiped his nose again.
"I'll buy you some more next time." Mia said.
Hansen discovered another delicacy - Surströmming.
After eating, he posted a status on social media, praising the deliciousness of Surströmming.
After posting, Hansen took his phone and went out, "Naomi, give my post a like. Andre, Bruce, also
give my post a like."
Andre handed his phone to his wife, "You help me give dad a like, I'm going upstairs to take a bath." He
felt like his whole body smelled like Surströmming.
Naomi gave a like and immediately went upstairs to take a bath.
Soon after, Mia was taken to the bathroom by her freshly bathed husband. She didn't want to go, so
Andre picked her up and took her to the bathroom.
In the bathroom.
Mia asked angrily, "Andre, what are you doing here while I'm taking a bath?"
Andre asked, "Helping you?"
"Get out, I don't need your help." Mia said.
Andre said, "You can't wash yourself clean."
"Honey, if you keep this up, I'm going to burp on purpose to make you suffer." Mia said.
Andre said, "Brush your teeth first!"
After Mia brushed her teeth, she felt down. In the bathroom, she felt like a peeled egg.
Two hours later, Mia lay in bed, wanting to cry but having no tears. Andre, however, was full of energy,
holding her and refusing to let go. He felt like he could never hold her enough.
Fortunately, the next day was Saturday, so Andre could hold his adorable wife without any restrictions.
Mia, like a fish on a chopping board, was left for Andre to have his way with her until she passed out.
Ever since their relationship was established, her time spent playing on her phone at night had been
replaced. She couldn't get up in the morning, and Andre never woke her up.
She continued to sleep, hugging the blanket. When the sun hit the room, she couldn't sleep peacefully.
Mia shouted, "Darling, pull the curtains."
Andre did as told. When she woke up to eat, she seemed listless.
"Mia, what's wrong with you?" Hansen asked, “You look like you're completely drained?”
Mia propped up her head, contemplating her life.
Andre planned to visit the Byrne family at noon, but Mia delayed him until the afternoon. Under her
guidance, the two arrived at the Byrne family's. Since they were visiting, of course, they had to bring
some gifts.
Andre opened the trunk and took out various gifts.
Mia knocked on the door, "Jade, are you home?"
Jade, who was lounging on the couch with her feet up on the coffee table, enjoying Chad's care, looked
at Chad when she heard the noise, "Chad, open the door, Mia's here to see me."
Chad said, "Didn't I tell you, we don't want outsiders in our house."
Despite his words, he still went to open the door. When he saw the man standing behind Mia, Chad's
face changed slightly.
The sharpness was gone from Andre, and he seemed to have already learned the secret of the Byrne
family from Jade.
"Chad, Jade's leg is injured and I can't drive, luckily my husband had a day off today. So he came with
me to see Jade." Mia said.
Since the guests were already at the door, Chad naturally couldn't refuse them entry. He opened the
door, bent down to pick up the gifts from the couple, and invited them in. Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
As soon as Mia entered, she ran to Jade on the sofa, "Jade, I brought my husband to see you."
Seeing that it wasn't just Mia who came, but also a scary man behind her. Jade immediately retracted
her legs and sat up straight. She communicated with Mia through her eyes, "If you want to come, then
come. Why do you have to bring your husband with you?"
Mia shot a glance at her husband, then winked at Jade, "I'm here, and you know what my driving's like.
If all three of us end up in wheelchairs, that'd be a real pain in the butt."
There was still someone named Leo stuck in the hospital. And Jade's foot hadn't fully healed. If she
crashed her car into a tree, the car was the least of their worries. It was them ending up handicapped
that was the real issue. At that point, the three pals might just have to move into the hospital together,
whiling away the time with card games.
"Jade, how's your foot doing?" Andre asked with concern.
For some reason, Jade felt there was a softness and care in Andre's gaze towards her. It made her feel
uneasy. But there was something else that made her even more nervous.
She wanted to reach for her water bottle but couldn't. Chad was nearer to the bottle, so she called out,
"Chad, I need a drink."
However, the two guys on the sofa jolted up simultaneously, as if competing to grab the cup.
Jade was speechless. She was calling her brother. Why was her friend's husband so eager to help?
