Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 200

Chapter 200

Mia watched her enthusiastic husband, understanding his excitement as he had just found his long-lost

sister, "Well, he probably thinks I'm thirsty too."

Jade eyed her peculiar friend, her gaze seemed to be questioning Mia, "Keep making up stories and

see who believes you!"

Andre also thought his wife's excuse was far too unconvincing. Just last night in the bathroom, she had

called him "Old Andre" in a moment of desperation, which had made him very angry. Of course, she

was the one who ended up suffering.

After what happened last night, Andre had found an effective way to punish his wife. If she acted up

again, he'd have sex with her, and she'd definitely behave the next day. He knew his dear wife all too

well by now.

At this moment, Andre realized he might have crossed a line. He let go, allowing Chad to pass the cup

of water to Jade.

"Chad, my feet are a bit chilly." Jade cooed.

Chad fetched a blanket from upstairs and covered her legs, even cradling her in his arms.

Mia felt a pang of loneliness.

Andre spoke, "I'll have my assistant buy you a foot warmer. It's getting cold, make sure to keep warm."

Jade thought, "Something's off. Why is my friend's husband being so nice to me?”

Chad's expression darkened, "Mr. Cedillo, I can buy whatever my sister needs. It's getting late. You and

Mia should head home."

Getting the boot, Mia felt awkward. She stood up and said, "Um, Chad, Jade, we'll be going then."

Mia pointed at various supplements on the floor and added, "All these were specifically sourced by my

husband. They should help Jade's feet recover."

Andre had a preliminary understanding of the Byrne family. He also noticed that Jade was heavily

dependent on Chad. After leaving Evergreen Haven, Andre went to start the car while Mia bid Jade

goodbye.

"You head back, I'll come visit you another day." Mia said.

Jade pulled Mia aside and whispered, "What's up with your husband today?"

He was harsh on his nephew, beating him until he was hospitalized. Yet, he was so considerate

towards her, a stranger, showering her with gifts and health supplements.

Mia glanced at her husband in the car and replied, "Oh, it's nothing. He's just a busybody." NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.

As Mia got in the car and left, she couldn't help but say jealously, "To those who know, Jade is your

sister. To those who don't, it's as if you're cheating on me and hitting on my friend."

Before she finished speaking, she got a light tap on the forehead. "Andre, you're treating me worse and

worse! You used to pat my head gently. Now, you're hitting my forehead." Mia complained.

Andre glanced at his irritated wife and retorted, "If I wasn't worried about upsetting you, I'd rip my heart

out to show you who's the one causing trouble here!"

The troublemaker pouted and whined, "There you go again, saying I'm causing trouble."

Wasn't she already being obedient enough?

Andre retorted, "Which obedient wife would call her husband 'Old Andre'?"

Mia answered, "That's because you upset me first."

During the drive home, Mia chatted non-stop, only to be left at home afterward.

Andre warned her, "Get a good night's sleep when you get home. Don't think about visiting Leo in the

hospital."

But Mia who was planning to do just that said, "Leo's all alone in the hospital. It's pitiful."

"He deserves it." Andre said curtly.

Leo dared to tell Mia that he couldn’t get it up. If Leo wasn't his relative, he would've pounded him to a

pulp.

Mia's car keys were confiscated. Hansen was thrilled. Now, Mia could stay at home and play with him.

Ever since Mia taught Hansen various popular online games, all his friends had become gaming

addicts.

Andre didn't go to entertain clients or return to the office but drove to Chade Inc.'s building.

Chade Inc, was a company founded by Coleen. The company's name was a combination of her two

children's names.

He waited there for someone. Soon, Chad arrived. He parked his car across from GHOST, got out of

the car, turned around, and boarded GHOST.

"What do you need?" Chad asked.

While at the Byrne family's place, the two clueless girls were exchanging glances. These two men had

privately arranged a meeting time, and the girls were none the wiser. One man took his wife home

while the other left after making sure his sister was settled.

Chad was also curious about Andre's relationship with Jade and what happened fifteen years ago. He

wanted to know why that child had drifted from the sea.

"Where's the real Jade?" Andre asked. He was straightforward, no beating around the bush or

pointless small talk.

Chad turned to look at the stern man who was as imposing as a king. How did he know he had another

sister?

Andre asked, "Is she dead?"

Chad looked at him, didn't answer, but instead asked, "What's your relationship with Jade?"

Andre looked out the window and said, "I am her brother."

Chad's mind instantly flashed back to fifteen years ago when the little girl cried and clung to him,

refusing to let anyone else hold her, constantly whispering, "I'm scared, I'm scared."

"How are you so sure?" Chad asked.

How could Andre know, given the tight lid he kept on his sister's situation?

"Mia secretly had a DNA test done on Jade and Leo's hair. Jade is my missing sister, Molly. She has a

scar on her left arm, which she bit herself, fearing that I wouldn't be able to find her." Andre said.

Andre's statement was completely consistent with Jade's situation. It seemed Andre had known all

along, and he didn't rush to tell Jade about her true identity today.

Now, Chad didn't need to hide it anymore. He had always worried about his sister being taken away,

but he still couldn't protect her properly. He wanted to have the scar on her arm removed, but she

resisted. Deep down, she didn't want to lose that scar, as if she was waiting for someone.

"My sister died fifteen years ago." Chad said.

The real Jade passed away from acute brain cancer fifteen years ago, and they couldn’t save her.

At that time, the Byrne family of four were out having fun, while Jade was stumbling all over the place.

So, Mr. Kendrick carried his daughter around. However, once they got home, Jade started crying and

indicating she wasn't feeling well. They immediately went to a nearby clinic and the doctor prescribed

some meds.

When they got home, they gave Jade the medicine and put her to bed. But the next day they couldn't

wake her up no matter what.

Coleen felt something was off with her daughter, so they rushed to the hospital first thing in the

morning. At the hospital, while they were waiting for the test results, the doctor came rushing out,

asking the couple not to leave. They needed to complete the hospital admission procedures as soon as

possible because their child needed emergency surgery.

Both Coleen and Mr. Kendrick were scared out of their wits. Chad was also looking at his sister on the

bed, energy all gone.

Other people's children were saved at the brink of death, but not Jade. She didn't get the blessing from

the man upstairs.

At five and a half years old, Jade said goodbye to her short life in the hospital.
